The food is delicious and it’s affordable. The jumbo shrimp was so tasty with a nice spicy Kick, and the crab legs were great. Thank you to the crawfish company for a great experience! Will definitely be coming back again!

Lots of parking in the plaza. I usually take it to go. I love their medium spicy shrimp. Their shrimps are plump and big sized shrimps. It also comes with small pieces of sausages and 1 piece of corn. I usually put the sauce on top of my rice! I tried their gumbo and it was all right. I need to stop comparing gumbo’s in L.A. to New Orleans. The staff are friendly and the bathroom is clean. In my opinion, it’s better than Boiling Crab. The only downfall is that they are only open from Thursday to Sunday…

This place is amazing!!! Came here for the first time, about 2 months ago and fell in love! I wish they opened daily! The medium Cajun shrimp are the bomb!!! Prices are great as well. The place is super clean, and employees are extra nice! Look forward to my weekly sometimes twice a week visits!

Fresh clams and shrimp tonight. So plump and juicy. Another great experience at the Crawfish company. I can’t get enough of this spicy sauce. Add extra corn. Chicken wings and fries. Get the medium or the spicy for the brave. I have burning hot lips after two pounds of delicious shrimp and one pound of clams. Love the clean and spacious restaurant. Gloves and bib provided. Got my fix!

I went for the 2nd time to this place. I ate here last week and liked it so much I came back again. The quality of seafood is top notch. I actually think it’s better than The Boiling Crab. I was pleasantly surprised to be eating Alaskan king crab legs that was fat and full of meat. The shrimp was also really fresh and not overcooked. I really liked the sausage and corn that was mixed in with each seafood bag. It’s a good place to eat with a group of people so you can try different things. They are also kid friendly since everyone makes a mess eating but they provide plastic bibs and gloves so you can really dig in. The sauces are really tasty especially if you like garlic. The butter garlic is good but their house sauce is even better. If you’re like me and can’t handle spice, ask them to make it mild. Since it’s new, it’s not overcrowded yet so you don’t have to wait for a table.

Of all the Cajun seafood restaurants I’ve been to, I must say, this is the best place that matches at a level of Boiling Crab. Their spiciness sauce and level is comparable to Boiling Crab, if not, spicier. They only have one type of sauce, which is same as Whole-Shabang of Boiling Crab. But it doesn’t make a difference because even when I’m in Boiling Crab, I only choose Whole-Shabang. I love this place and Boiling Crab but however, since I hate waiting in line for boiling crab, unless I’m there 30 minutes before they open so I can guarantee myself a seat, I’ll just go to Crawfish. Majority of shrimps at Crawfish are well cooked that most of their skins peel off easily. Most cajun seafood restaurants I’ve been to that are not boiling crab, majority of the shrimp skins are hard to peel off. But this place shrimp is legit and well cooked. This is just as good as boiling crab. This is easily my local favorite cajun restaurant. It beats driving all the way to Ktown, Mid-Wilshire, or Alhambra while not needing to wait in line. Prices are very reasonable and cheap. Only place that beats this place’s pricing is boiling crab but considering the time you have to wait, and for ktown, you gotta pay for the parking as well since it’s hard to find street parking, it’s well worth few bucks more to not go through those hassle. Only thing that frustrates me about this place is, when I crave for this place from Monday to Wednesday, they are closed. :(grrrrrr.

So my friend and I stopped in for a meal since we were forced to work in the area and realized there’s nothing worth going to. We ordered a pound of shrimp, a pound of clams, and chicken wings. The shrimp were huge, plump and juicy. The corn were savory and mouth watering. The clams were spicy good, seasoned well and could not have been any better without the earthy flavor of the«rock» or «stone» found in our goody bag. Unless, «the rock» was the secret recipe to a tasty bag of clams, a little quality control would be somewhat useful to avoid problems in the future.

First and foremost, let me begin this review by saying that I absolutely love how our small neighboring communities are culturally expanding with variety in restaurants. Not only does it provide a rich experience for a passerby, but it also makes it easier for us residents that love the food, but dread the traffic. The Crawfish Co. is a mean slice of seafood that the quiet streets of Sylmar can greatly appreciate. However, that’s not to say it does not suffer from some deal breaking issues. Being a fan of The Boiling Crab, and regular of Kickin’ Kasian, I already had a palette for me to compare The Crawfish Co. to. Kickin’ Kasian specifically provides a variety of rich sauces and flavors for shrimp to swim with. My favorite being a mixture of all flavors including garlic butter and differentiating levels of spice called the Kickin’ Mix. The Crawfish Co. unfortunately only provides one or the other. To make matters worse, the sauce itself is depressingly watery. It dissipates right off the shrimp as it is not rich with substance. This is the most painful issue with The Crawfish Co. that needs to be addressed, ASAP. Apart from the disappointing sauce, I found one other strange concern that my Filipino girlfriend defined as blasphemy. Along with1.5lb of mild shrimp, we also ordered two cups of white rice that while steaming hot, was considerably hard/dry. Without a doubt, the rice was clearly microwaved or packaged beforehand. If that’s not the case, I would advise The Crawfish Co. to revise it regardless, because it absorbed all of the already extremely watery shrimp sauce leaving no flavor. Considering The Crawfish Co. has only been open for a few months, there’s always time to change and garner an even bigger fanbase than it already has. While the food wasn’t terrible nor expensive, it was unfortunately very disappointing.

Wife and I came here right after church and boy was I HUNGRY! We Ordered 2 lbs of Shrimp(medium) and for the kids, 2 orders of chicken nuggets w/fries. I can’t tell you how much my family loves this place! The shrimps were HUGE and the taste and zing is the«BOMB.COM»(urban lingo — otherwise… SOOGOOD) Ken — if you decide to franchise the business, PLEASE have it here in Santa Clarita aka«awesome town» or if you read the motto on the SCV buses -«where the good life takes you»

This place is excellent! The owner/s must have researched what patrons dislike(poor service, over cooked seafood, overpriced food etc) from this type of establishment and eliminated it from Crawfish Co. The prices are great, the service is excellent, the crab is steamed to perfection, the sauces are delicious and most importantly the place is very clean. A true gem in Sylmar! I’m thrilled that businesses like this one are coming to my city, thank you!

Umm well I can definitely say that this isn’t boiling crab but is the boiling crab of this neck of the woods. You order at the counter, they give you a number, and they drop off your food when it’s ready. We opted for a pound of shrimp which comes with 4 pieces of sausage and 1 piece of corn for $ 13 or so. I have to say having these extras included in the initial pound is pretty convenient but made me feel like they skimped on the shrimp. The flavors were there but left me craving more. We ended up getting the«mild» seasoning option because they happened to be out of the«hot» option which might have made a world of difference in my book. Perhaps having some lime available would’ve done the trick as well but that didn’t seem to be an option. We also got the Cajun fries which weren’t hot either and this is coming from a girl with a pretty low tolerance. Overall For the price, offering, and location I have to consider myself a fan. Tip No additional charge for ranch!

No lines, self serve lemons, clean, spacious, excellent flavors, loads of TV mounted on the wall, ample parking, friendly staff, 3 lbs for $ 29.00 shrimp deal and it’s in the valley!!! What else can you ask for??? This place is $$$$$$$$! Husband and Bestie in tow, we chowed down and forgot to take pictures. Definitely coming back for sure!

Every so often you end up in a seafood coma… from not being able to stop, when you know you should. But it’s THAT good. Ownership is on-target with a precision laser-guided passion for pefection steaming everything in a shell on the menu, and the best frying techniques I’ve had in a long time(including the $$$$ places). The creators of this place have a design for assured success(and eventual ridiculous levels of fame and fortune). Take everything bad about the available boiled pot seafood places and toss it(long lines, over-pricing, less than clean tables, annoying service, varying quality cooking techniques.) Amp up the quality of the cooking and sauces so nothing’s over-loaded with anything out of balance to let the seafood speak for itself(king and snow crab, shrimp, clams, crawfish — live and frozen depending on your price points). Make some sides so the people tagging along for a sports night who don’t eat seafood will be happier than clams at autumn low-tide with rock-solid crispy dry rub wings and shoestring potato fries that are Belgian good. But most of all, keep it simple, price it well, and make sure it’s great every single time. Garlic sauce here is a buttery chunky garlicky wonder that isn’t overloaded with salt, nor anything that shouldn’t be there, and is perfect for everything(except maybe that first date, unless you’re both into diving into tablefuls of seafood crackin’ bliss — and if so, you’re probably a match made in heaven.) The house cajun mixes comes in 3 levels from an Old Bay with a kick, to something you want to be near Lake Pontchartrain, to cool off between handfuls. These sauces are good enough you’d want to take the leftovers in the bags and use them for pastas the next day(or sopping up loaves of fresh french bread, or topping the cajun fries, or what I did, which was to start rolling those crispy-fried wings in the sauces — Oh, THAT was inspired! Garlic butter lemon wings! Cajun buffalo wings!) Bags of goodness(including corn and kielbasa slices in the sauces) are delivered to your table as they’re ready from the steam kettles(meaning you won’t encounter over-cooked items like some of the other places that think all of it can be cooked at the same time and temperature — that leads to the chewy shrimp and rubbery crab found at many other places.) Location is right next to the Fresh & Easy market. This location(cost-wise) is why I’m pretty sure this one will succeed beyond belief. Since they provide lots of bibs, gloves, waxed table paper and plenty of napkins — it’s designed for the roll-up the sleeves and dig in style of seafood consumption. Crackers and shell openers provided, as well. Fountain beverages, as well as bottled, available.(Beer and wine permit in progress as of 9÷20÷2015 so it’ll be another 60 days or so — but there is an F&E right next door — hint, hint…) Note to out of area visitors: this is Sylmar. You will have the great possibility of occasional encounters with interesting mumbling street people, or on the afternoon we visited, seeing 7 cars worth of LAPD and LAC Sheriff’s finest taking down a pawn store burglary at the other end of the mall. Think of it as your complimentary live entertainment, ala live Reality TV.

So excited to have a place like this close to home! I have to say I’m super impressed with the customer service, & the food. The shrimp, mussels, & crab were cooked too perfection & the corn perfectly sweet. The cashier was not happy with the quality of the oysters, didn’t recommend them. My respond to that«wow» they aren’t just about a buck, quality is clearly important. New family favorite for sure! Can’t wait to introduce this place to family & friends. P. S. Thank you for putting cartoons on for the kiddos!

Clean, priced right and we enjoyed what we ordered. Note* a piece of corn and some sausage is included in every pound. I like that feature! Clams had a number of shells that weren’t opened but otherwise good, shrimp and snow crab both awesome. No table service, you order, take a number and the food is brought out.

I visited this small restaurant on the same day as I bookmarked it, and this place turns out to be a total gem. It is not fancy, spiffy, or trendy. It is just a simple and clean restaurant with awesome seafood and super friendly service. My boyfriend got(the biggest) King crab legs(medium spicy), and I got a gumbo and ½lb shrimp(very spicy). I liked the heat level. It was not too spicy, but spicy enough. They also give you 4 pieces of sausage and a piece of corn with your order, which made their already reasonable pricing even more appealing. The owners are SO eager and willing to provide the best and tastiest food. They absolutely welcome your feedback. I believe they are working on their liquor license, so soon you should be able to enjoy your beer/seafood/games on massive screens all at the same time.

We have never been to a Louisiana boil or any Boiling Crabs, so we kind of didn’t know what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality(These guys take it to the next level!), freshness, and service. One of the owners, Jonathon, even showed us how to crack open the crawfish since we were novices! **Shrimp with Mild Cajun Sauce — I got distracted with the size of these shrimps, that I forgot to take a picture. These are really meaty, huge size shrimp that taste really fresh. Sauce was mild so it was not too spicy, and you could still taste the freshness of the shrimp, which was nice. Sometimes sauces can be overpowering, but this was the right amount of heat and spice yet still let the seafood shine on its own. The corn and sausage was yummy too! Corn was delicious, husband loved it. **Live Crawfish with Mild Cajun Sauce — I must admit, I’m lazy when it comes to food and picking at these guys takes some work but it was all in good fun. Definitely fresh tasting morsels of goodness. It’s like little bites of lobster(which I love). You just have to really get into it, cracking, using your fingers and all. Lots of fun for large groups! **King Crab Legs — pictures do not do justice(see pictures of how BIG the legs are). These crab legs were the biggest I’ve seen! Succulent, meaty, flavorful, and really sweet. It went very well with the garlic butter sauce. That’s usually how I like my crab, with loads of butter. It was cooked perfectly, and they give you all the tools to crack the legs. Highly recommend getting these, you won’t be disappointed! YUM!!! This was by far my favorite! **Gumbo — I love me some gumbo and this was really tasty. My husband loved it too. Good chunks of seafood, sausage and a flavorful broth with some rice. Hearty meal in itself. **Company Wings — my husband’s not the biggest seafood fan, so this was a nice change up for him(and all non-seafood eaters). Wings were really crispy, which is super important. No one wants a soggy, mushy wing. These were hot, crispy, and really had a tasty seasoning, on par with the major wing establishments for sure! **Cajun Fries — great fries, nice seasoning. Like that they were thin fries rather than thick. Compliments all the seafood well. Restaurant was clean, plenty of seating and nice wax paper on the tables, fountain drinks area with plenty of napkins, bibs, gloves so you can get down and dirty without getting it all over your clothes. They also have restrooms where you can clean off afterwards. Owners came and talked to us and asked us about our meal and gave us a little background on the restaurant and their seafood source. Really nice, down to earth family people with top notch quality seafood. Definitely check them out!

Tried this spot with my girl after trying another local Cajun shrimp place in Sylmar and I must say that I enjoyed it here much more. Don’t come here with the mindset thinking that their Cajun Sauces are gonna taste identical to Boiling Crab. This place has its own type of flavor. Their sauce first has a sweetness, followed up by a good kick. I ordered 1lb. of shrimp/Medium Sauce which is enjoyable, nothing to crazy where your mouth is on fire. it’s just right and satisfying. After, I ordered another pound of shrimp«Spicy» level and I’ll be honest… At first, I thought it was the kinda the same as the medium level… but next thing you know, you get suckered punch with a kick and your mouth is on fire. A good fire that is, to where it’s spicy, but you can’t stop eating it. Lol oh, I recommend ordering a side order of rice! It’s delicious mixed with the sauce! Ken, and Dennis who’s name I remembered so well cause of how generous and attentive they were. They are good people, and provided great service which made my experience much better. There is plenty of parking as this place is located in a shopping center. Their facility is kept clean, and they have flat screen TV’s up. Ill definitely be coming back!
