We took our six-​year-​old to the science festival over at Hayward Cal State. He loved it. If your kids are into robotics or robots or Legos this is a family-​friendly fun event. It was completely free. We left our little one at home and I’m glad we did. Children under four would probably enjoy the festival out in Sonoma county but we did not want to make that drive. The best part about it for our son was that the majority of the creators of the robots were also kids! Inside the building there were some very basic science projects the kids could create on their own. Basic concepts of circuits, electricity, magnetics, air movements and light refraction were laid out on tables for kids to play with and create. Fun and educational!
