Very friendly, cozy café with fair prices. Love coming here in the morning to get a warm drink before taking a walk through the neighborhood.

Finding a non chain coffee place is hard. Especially when your date doesn’t like Starbucks. Yeah, maybe we are off to a bad start already. So I found this coffee joint through plain old walking up and down the street. Has this old style feel which my date doesn’t like. Either you want a chain place that’s big or you get a small time roaster like the Beanery. But, she wants it all. Thankfully the coffee kept me busy. Refills are 85 cents, but with the way this date was going I didn’t need need it, LOL.

Really nice, small café for conversation or work. Gentle music and the overall environment is cozy. Lovely baristas, I think I may have fallen for his smile. The coffee is great as well, haven’t had such a smooth and delicately bitter cup in a long time, and I’m no amateur when it comes to café hopping.

Wonderful coffee shop in the Inner Sunset! Latte’s flavorful, staff caring, thoughtful and fun. Definitely a local hangout… One of the best in the city. Oh hell… The best in the city!

Cold coffee and rude transphobic staff. The clerk obviously caught on that I’m a trans woman, so he greeted me with«what’s up amigo?» with a smirk. When I asked him why he called me amigo he started laughing and said, «just how I say hi». I’ve run into this passive veiled insult enough times to know when it happens. It’s best to steer clear of this place.

Coffee was decent. I didn’t try the espresso though. There were no outlets so make sure your computer is charged if you want to work.

I really enjoyed the taste of their white mocha. It has a nice balance of espresso and sweetness, and tastes carefully crafted. I am excited to go back for their drip coffee, because they roast their own beans, and their staff was a nice group of people. Although there is limited seating inside, Beanery is located in a fantastic area, full of small shops and pretty homes that you can observe while sipping on your drink.

Beanery is a great neighborhood coffee spot. Nice folks and good coffee that they roast right there on 9th Ave. A great alternative to the big chain across the street.

Cute little hole in the wall coffee shop. The coffee is delicious, the prices are reasonable and the staff is charming. It was my first time here and I would gladly come again.(:

How did I put off writing a review for Beanery for so long? This is my favorite neighborhood place for coffee and I look forward to their iced caramel latte every time I’m at home. In a great little location on the corner of 9th and Irving in Inner Sunset, the Beanery is a cozy little coffee place that’ll hit the spot every time without setting you back too much. I always get their iced caramel latte, which comes with two shots and real caramel in a giant cup. All for less than $ 4. The baristas and servers are really friendly and know my order, big plus! All in all, no frills, cozy, lovely, and Arizmendi is right next door for amazing pizza. Try some coffee before the farmer’s market on Sunday across the street. And now they have free WiFi which is even better.

Love my boys at The Beanery! The soy latte on ice(triple) is part of my daily routine — literally — and is the only reason I’m human before jumping on the N each morning. I rarely have to tell them my order, I just say yes when they ask if I want my usual everything bagel with cream cheese is super delicious.

I have been waiting to write a review of The Beanery for a while. Mostly because I couldn’t formulate words to adequately describe how much I love this place. It is definitely my go-to in Sunset. The staff is so incredibly friendly and nice, the coffee is great and roasted in house in the morning(come by in the morning and the roaster happily explains the process), and I love the environment. People just seem happy here. It’s great. It’s a small place, with only about 6 two-person tables and some seating outside, but I usually don’t have a problem finding a spot to sit. I always leave with a smile on my face. Did I mention how awesome the staff is??? Seriously, go just to hang out with them.

I had my midday slump and needed caffeine to stay awake. An equally tired friend offered to take me to the Beanery to grab a cup of coffee to wake us both up. I had their single shot caramel latte with soy milk, and it’s one of the best cup of coffees I’ve ever had. Not overly sweet, not too bitter. The cup size is huge for a very affordable 4 bucks. I noticed they also offer a variety of Numi Teas. The barista who took my order and crafted my latte was incredibly nice and patient as I took my time pondering the options. There are some indoor and outdoor tables if you want to spend time there reading the daily newspaper or catching up with friends. Metered and unmetered street parking exists. It’s also conveniently located in front of the Muni bus stop.

I like this better than the Beanery on Irving. Staff are SUPER friendly and funny. They seem to have a following – regular customers constantly coming in and joking with the staff in Spanish. Gave it a nice inclusive vibe. But it’s too crowded for my liking, seating is all smushed together so you’ll definitely get to know your neighbors(This can be a good or a bad thing) Coffee is just fine but nothing special and pastries looked good though I didn’t partake.
