Since my last review I now will never go back. It has become a pig pen. Machines don’t fill, stink and dryers don’t dry! The contact information is bogus. Today is the last visit for me. Unbelievable 100% downhill filthy pit.

For convenience I’ve been coming here for 3 months. There is no one on staff if you run into a problem. My laundry got stuck in machine(not the first time) and could reach anyone for help. Dirtiest laundromat ever.

This is the worst laundromat ever– half the washers are labeled«out of order», and the rest you have to try out and pray they work. Often they don’t, and I’ve never been able to get any help or a refund, because the phone number for assistance listed on the wall doesn’t actually connect you to anyone. I only use this laundry because I don’t have a car and it’s the closest one, but I should probably just walk a little farther and go somewhere else given how frustrated I feel when try do a load and come back 30 minutes later to find the washer says«error» on the display, my clothes unwashed and no way to get my money refunded, having to waste more time and quarters again. I guess the dryers here are alright though.

I have frequented this place for about a year and a half with mostly just complaints around how crowded it is, but I have been able to find good«off times». But… For the 4th week in a row, I have walked in to a laundromat half full of broken washing machines. For a place with only 12 washers, having half out of commission is insane. The owner lives in Santa Clara and has seemingly not been around during this time to get the machines fixed. My housemate and I will be finding a new place to do laundry.

Place is a disaster. 2 weeks ago washing machine stopped half way through a wash. Tried calling the contact number on the wall and no response despite leaving my contact number 3 times. Driers take your cash but not always a guarantee that they will actually work — no chance of getting cash back. Might be cheaper than some places but by the time you pay for 3 machines to eventually get one that works, that negates that element. Never again will I use this place.

Busy on the weekends unless you go early. I go in the morning and get something tasty from Victor’s Bakery nearby. Gives me something to look forward to on laundry day. Customers are mostly little old Asian ladies and college students, though I did once see a bum sitting in there…

I like that most of their machines are new and there is a variety of load sizes available. Basically, I’m used to using two or three standard machines to do my laundry every two weeks, but here I can throw it all into one of their many bulk machines. I also like that this place is tucked away and kinda hard to see, so I feel safe leaving my stuff here if I run across the street to Safeway. Aaaaand, their change machine always works(Bonus!). My only issues are that there are so few places to sit, and it is such a cramped and narrow space, you spend most of your time maneuvering around other people.

The previous«Lost Sock» realized that it was a Lost Hope to recover their name. So the owners sold the place and the new owners changed it. Lost Sock was the only place that was opened late in the upper Parkside area. One could be doing their laundry at 11pm since the door doesn’t lock till close to midnight. The only problem was that most of the machines were broken. Either not having warm water, flooded, or just won’t move. Hopefully these people maintain their machines.

What was once«The Lost Sock» is born anew with a new owner, some old machines, and plenty of new ones. This spot has new life and steady renewed customer base. It’s maintained daily by the new ownership and seems to be holding strong. Clean, not a place where random people used to just drive by to steal quarters. Washers are highly efficient and the dryers really warm up to you.
