No longer 24hr, but they still have the sprinkle donuts i like and the oh-so sweet hot chocolate i crave. Yum!!!

Small selection, cooked to perfection! Have lived in Seattle, Portland, NYC, Philadelphia, and no other doughnut comes close to the delightfully, airy texture of the raised doughnuts in this shop!

Donut world is great! My favorite are definitely the raised donuts — so soft and fluffy all the time, they’re addicting. I’m glad this place has been around so long; it’s nice to have somewhere in the area that’s open at all times where you can hang out and get a snack.

Better than Bob’s, sorry Bob! The cinnamon twist, is something special! The staff is friendly and they have breakfast items like eggs, bagels and good coffee. All the donuts look so good, I’m gonna try one of each, bucket list baby!

Warning: First World SF Problems — Closed(!) on the occasion of my recent, desperate, 3AM donut-run. Granted, the discouragingly dark storefront prompted a swift 180 before I could check for any notices — a Bay Area shortage of glaze, perhaps? Regardless, these nocturnal donuts, pastries, and the like are ideal when upon the witching hour.

I haven’t found a regular donut shop I can give a high score to, because their variety on raised donuts is lacking. No white icing, no cherry icing, no cinnamon-sugar, etc. I’m not a cake donut person, I’m all about traditional raised donuts. But, their glazed and chocolate iced donuts were good. Still not a Shipley’s though(chain in Houston).

Nice friendly, local donut shop! The staff is very friendly and remembers the folks that come by. I’ve only went there a couple of time in the past couple of months, but they still remember me. Although something small its nice to be remembered by the folks there. Great donuts and i love their ham and cheese croissant.

We had coffees here every morning during our stay in San Francisco. We also got their cream filled doghnut, custard-filled éclair, cheese danish and a round pastry filled with custard(our favorite). They have multiple flavors of coffee and pastries taste very fresh. If you are stating in Inner Sunset and are looking for a to-go coffee or a carb-fix, this is a good place to visit.

The apple fritter was really good and not greasy! Old fashioned glaze was on point. This will be my stop every other week after getting my nails done. I need a donut from time to time. Gotta Feed that phat girl inside!

I bumped into this place while we were walking around after lunch. They have a good amount of choices, such as raspberry donut holes. I got a few donut holes only as dessert because I just cannot resist donuts; they are just the most delicious creations in American breakfast and dessert history. The prices were unbelievably cheap and I’ll come back here again when I crave donuts on a random day. I believe they open 24⁄7 too, it’s amazing. Bob’s is great but the line deters me away, so this is a great alternative close by.

Love this doughnut shop. It’s right at our stop off the N Judah line. We were here for the weekend visiting family and we had a doughnut each day as our snack. They have an amazing selection and very fresh. I had the crueler the first day and I was hooked. I had 4 cruelers in 3 days. Affordable doughnuts, fast and friendly. Very light and not greasy. Glad I don’t live here — otherwise, I would probably need an intervention.

I like that Donut World is open 24 hours but I would like it a lot more if there were actually decent donuts available no matter the time. We came here once just shy of 10PM and pretty much everything was gone. The prices are cheap but the donuts themselves aren’t too fresh tasting(although this may depend on luck and what time of the day you come here). If you want really amazing donuts in the Sunset, I recommend Twisted on Noriega(between 19th&20th).

Stopped in here early one Friday morning and was impressed with the variety of donuts they had. I got an assorted dozen and honestly they were all pretty good(because of course I had to try them all). Conveniently located on the N line, with quick service for a quick pit stop to then be on your way. Plus, open 24 hours, yes please always down for a donut.

Not the biggest selection but what they have is fresh and made daily. Jelly donut holes, chocolate glazed and jelly filled were the selection I chose and enjoyed them all. Check them out but don’t forget to bring cash.

I lived in San Francisco for a year and went here once. I remember getting donut holes and some maple bars one fine sunny afternoon. I sat right in front of the window and people watched. It was an amazing experience. It has been 4 years since then yet this place always seems to come up in conversations about the best donuts. I love how most of my friends who also lived in San Francisco agree. I will come back for you, donut world. PS, way better than Krispy Kreme. Just saying.

My favorite apple fritter in the whole wide world. Why, oh why do you have to be so close? I haven’t tried their other donuts but I’ll probably be getting the apple fritter until I get sick of it in half a year. I’ve only been around night time and it’s usually pretty empty in there. It doesn’t look like they have everything at this time but they haven’t been out of apple fritter yet. Get yours soon!

We meet again Donut World. I have been dreaming about Cinnamon Rolls as of late. The big luscious ones that Cinnabon has perfected. Hot, gooey, doughy, and ridiculously bad for you. No place in the city seems to have them. They have attempts at Cinnamon Rolls — but they end up falling short. Too dry. Not the right frosting. Not enough love. And so — with Cinnamon Rolls on my mind — I decided that the next best thing would have to do — a big Apple Fritter from Donut World. I stopped in here on a glorious sunny San Francisco day and I ordered one big Apple Fritter and I requested to have it microwaved. Warm and heavy it was handed to me. And all for under $ 2.00. Where else can you get an exceptional dessert for that price in the city? That Apple Fritter was divine. Laced with cinnamon and chunks of apple — it was one of the best desserts that I have indulged in for months. I have to make my Apple Fritter’s a bi-yearly thing — but if you want an ultimate dessert look no further than the beautiful fritter at Donut World. Trust.

Donut world is good. Their donuts are perfectly made whether it be the way it is glazed or being cooked perfectly. The ones i had were delicious and the staff is nice. The only reason why its 3 and not like a 4 or 5 is because theres nothing outstanding about the place that would make me travel all the way to SF for. Cash only.

CASH-only. I wouldn’t call myself a donut connoisseur, but I haven’t found anything from Donut World that has stood out to me. I’ve been a frequent here more so because they’re open 24 hours. Often times, they’re not very good at keeping their racks on stock either. so options are usually limited. /= If anything’s worth it, I do like their custard and raspberry-filled donut holes! So unless you’re having a late-night donut craving(which I often do) in the Sunset, hit up trusty Uncle Benny’s instead on 22nd& Irving.
