WARNING: The location has changed to Geary and Leavenworth and is now called 724 Hookah. Went to Polk street where it’s supposedly located and was told it moved. Anyway, this place is a really nice alternative to Cairo Nights. A lot cleaner and easier to move around. Can’t go wrong with Sex on the Beach. Good service, although a better selection of music would have been nice.

no bueno. the place is small, the hookahs are not done right, and the super uncomfortable. that was about a couple of month ago. not surprised that place actually closed down. at any rate, if the place ever opens again, and it’s under a different staff, then i’ll give it a shot. otherwise, not a good place to hookah.

Came here a couple nights ago with a few friends and was extremely disappointed. First off, it says that they open at six and since we’re from San Jose enjoying a day in the city, we decided to head over around 7:45−8, but they were close ‘cleaning’. After walking around for a bit, we went back and were the only customers there. Being that we were the only customers, one would think we would get some good service. Definitely did not. When we first sat down at one of the tables, it was off balance and not steady at all so we decided to sit on the floor which was somewhat comfortable. Once the guy brought our orders, they were wrong and when we asked to change it, he wasn’t even available. He kept going back and forth to the smoke shop next door. After we were able to get the correct orders, we were finally able to enjoy our hookahs. I get that it’s a lounge and that we’re smoking, but two people lighting up cigarettes three feet away from us? Disgusting. When we first got our hookah, it wasn’t even put together all the way. The stem was partially out, so the hookah was at a tilt so it made the bowl tilt which made the coals slide off after awhile. And the guy came over once to fix our coals on his own, other than that we had to ask every time we needed them fixed or needed new ones. In general, we wanted out own sets of tongs to fix the coals, but when we asked he never brought them. They had okay music since it was played through peoples iPods. Unfortunately, the connector was directly above my head so the cord kept dangling next to me and every time a song would end, someone was standing a foot away from me to change the song. The only upside to this experience was that it was completely dead so we were able to get in and out with our two bowls and a free refill in about an hour and a half(wanted to get out as soon as possible without wasting our money’s worth). I have never appreciated our lounges in San Jose until what happened the other night. Definitely NOT coming back.

Nice and clean hookah establishment. Great service and people watching is a must at this hookah joint. Price is somewhat wallet friendly but overall, this is a chill place to relieve your daily stress with a puff of your favorite favors(try apple~!). Parking can be somewhat tricky and if you are planning to come late just remember to move your car before 2 am. Price: B Service: A Overall: A–

I used to love this place. Nice intimate chill spot! A bit ghetto at times bc of the clientele… But this last weekend we had a horrible experience. We get there have a seat and upon getting our hookah we are asked to pay right away. Then some guy started cleaning like crazy… sweeping under our feet… clearing the table etc. The bathroom was all puked on. GROSS! And to make matters worse… we were hella over charged. We’ve been there plenty of times before and never paid as much. They could’ve easily told us they were closing… but no. We we’re just rudely pushed out. Will not be coming back.

I had a good time at Dream Hookah Lounge. * Well lit and clean interior * BYOB and BYOcups. We were allowed to drink as long as we kept the alcohol containers out of plain sight. * Free bubbles * Plenty of disposable plastic mouth pieces to go around * Dozens of flavor options. You can combine flavors as well. * The staff was pretty good about checking in on us and changing our coals to keep the hookah smokey enough. * Reasonable prices. There are various per-person and per-hookah price points, but it will most likely come out to under $ 10/person. We sat on cushions on the ground around a low table. Table space was a bit limited. With the multiple pipes snaking around the table, hot coals towering over our heads, and cups and containers all around our feet, we had to be pretty careful not to knock things over. This definitely doesn’t seem like a place where you want to get out of control. My friends and I tried watermelon mint, mango, and double apple. The first two were good, but the double apple was awful. Smoking it felt like inhaling an old lady’s perfume in an elevator. I was disappointed since I had great apple hookah many times on an Istanbul vacation years ago and wanted to relive that experience.

NOTICE: This review is based off of what I remember from that night. I remember sitting on the floor, hookah in hand, my foot falling asleep, and not giving a damn. Music was really loud, I got sick, stepped outside, barfed, talked to a random guy outside, he gave me words of encouragement as I barfed. I stepped back inside, still feeling like crap, drank some water, went to the bathroom, left and barfed again… DISCLAIMER: Barfing not do to hookah. The hookah was great! Now, for the review! This was my first hookah experience, and I had fun… THEEND

Dream hookah lounge is one of the BESTTT in the COUNTRY!!! the watermelon-mint is AMAZING. i only smoke double apple but he recommended me to try the Watermelon-Mint and it was the BEST watermelon-mint in my life. Better than the one in i tried in the middle east! I only come here when i want to go to a hookah-bar now because the service is impeccable and the hookahs they serve smoek the best!

Went here for my birthday party. No group reservations can be made. Just go and hope theres room. We arrived around 9:30pm and it was pretty slow. We walked around a bit and came back to find it full around 11pm. We had 10 people. We were seated right away… And by seated I mean crowded around a table on the floor. Luckily, they had some pillows. It was fairly inexpensive about $ 30 for four people. About $ 80 total. There were two people there but only one girl was managing all the hookahs. The girl that helped was very friendly and fairly attentive. Although a couple of times it was hard to get a hold of her. She made recommendations on flavors. The«pink» and the«pirates» were excellent. When we got our hookahs they were placed on a small table. It was kinda dangerous because the table was wobbly. No alcohol allowed or served. After some people started to clear out we finally moved to a table with seats. But even the tables were kinda small. Overall, I had fun. But this place was kinda small and chill. The music was a combination of old rap, hiphop, and some middle east music. Its not good for dancing or anything, just to sit, smoke, chat. Only street parking. Lots of youngins…18 and over.

Smoking at Dream Hookah Lounge is like smoking in your buddy’s basement– super cozy, random music(some Arabic, some American R&B) & it’s BYOB& BYOFood. Service, beyond setting you up with your hookah & coals, is non existent. Our friendly-enough server brought us water while her group of male friends and/or family members had the run of the house – relaxing, smoking, playing cards. Like I said, basement boogie. Our party of five shared two hookahs for $ 35(double apple & raspberry.) Hookah was a bit weak(maybe from not enough coals.) Not a very lively place(empty actually), lights were turned down too low… we were driving by & made a spontaneous stop-in. Probably won’t be doing that again.

So I came here over the weekend and it wasn’t as great as my first experience! Our hookah wasn’t hitting well at all, no matter how many coals we put on top or how many times our server tried fixing it. Our server was very friendly and attentive, however; she could have used some help as this place was super busy and her«co workers» were sitting in their butts not doing a thing!

I hate to knock them when they’re down but I’m not a fan. They recently lost the ability to serve drinks so they are more than willing to let you bring in your own. However on a busy night they can easily forget your coals or just forget that you’re there which makes it tough. Decent selection but what’s a selection when the coals are out?

A good spot and a great alternative to Cairo Nights. The place is small, the hookah is cheap and it’s BYOB! You can also be your own DJ with their iPhone deck :) It was pretty cold inside and they don’t have any cups/food/drinks whatsoever. Cairo Nights seem a bit livelier, this was quiet and empty on Wed night — perfect for our rowdy party of 14! Hookah ran $ 10 – 15, and we scored free refills. The guys who was working there, Naji, was chill and attentive.

Our group of 7 was well accommodated, and we were the only group there a good hour or so. Pretty interesting how they first started playing Bay Area hip-hop joints, then Biggie and Tupac, then house music. White peach and lemon mint are my flavor recommendations. The latter tastes like a refreshing cup of tea. Seriously! Don’t knock it ’til you try it. We didn’t stay long enough, because on our way back from eating, we saw the place packed and a belly dancer was performing. Very nice atmosphere and staff, and the group prices are excellent.

The place has a good potential, it opened recently and i have to admit i didn’t visit the place at early hours, so i am not sure how the entertainment nights work, but the service is great, people are friendly, and with some twists and turns the place can be a real hot spot!

I’d say that this is the best hookah lounge I’ve been to in SF so far. The quality of the hookah is good, it’s a cute, cosy place and the music is not too loud(ahem, Cairo nights). No beverage license yet so not even a chance to buy a round of mint teas, but apparently it’s coming soon. Another plus is that the ventilation system is good so they don’t need to leave the door open and freeze you to death(ahem, Nile Café).

This place is pretty sweet, I just happened upon it on my phone when I was in the area. The place is super Egyptian inside, and if you happen to know Egyptian Arabic like my bf, the owner guys chilling at the table across from you may hook you up. Either way, they were friendly and you’ll have a great conversation. They had a belly dancing dvd playing… it was a little bit sexy, a little bit hokey Come early-ish…we showed up at 10 and NOONE was there. 45 min later, it was so packed people were practically rubbing against each other… kind of dangerous considering there’s red hot hookah coals. There’s only one girl making/tending the hookahs, so it can get slow when the place gets packed. Don’t sit at the small 2-person tables, they’re a little rickety and we almost knocked over the hookah several times. No food here yet, I think they’re working on it. A 3 person hookah only set us back $ 20. I’d recommend the pineapple!
