Liquid Gold is my favorite bar to hang out at on a Friday night. Usually a group of my friends get together after work for some drinks, but end up leaving to grab food down the street. Yesterday was quite different thanks to Redpie. We were able to have fresh, hot pizza delivered to the bar in less than 30 minutes. This meant more drinks and more fun for us! The website is very easy to use, even after a few drinks :). I don’t know why someone didn’t think of this idea sooner but, it’s brilliant. You have two options of pies, and you can even order to your home too. Beats any other pizza delivery in town.

I saw a flyer for a $ 10 pizza on a car windshield outside my apartment. $ 10 large pizza in under 30 minutes? I was willing to try. So the ordering was easy, and the large pepperoni pizza($ 13.98) arrived on time as advertised. This is the good news. The BAD news is that was a «14 pizza, which is considered medium at 90% of pizza places. Also, it was just mediocre. I actually suspected it might be a dominos pizza, with it’s skimpy cheese and bland, airy crust. without the promo code, it would have been a complete rip off. I just don’t understand who their customer is supposed to be. People who don’t know how to order pizza from their favorite pizza place? Like we need a new start up to help us order pizzas? Plus, in this city of high food culture and online reviews, I don’t know how not disclosing where the pizza comes from is any kind of advantage, So while $ 14 for a mediocre medium pepperoni was not a horrible deal, I feel this new venture might find it difficult to, what’s that phrase in silicon valley? Right, «make any money».

I had my first RedPie experience yesterday and loved it! Seamless ordering + delivery within 25 minutes and tasty pizza. Definitely expect to be a repeat customer.

Just ordered our first Redpie, and it came piping hot and well before 30 min! The delivery woman was so awesome and friendly! My boyfriend and I will likely be using this a lot…

I was invited to be a beta tester for RedPie, which I believe is launching Monday July 27. I was given a code to try it out and I’m happy to report the service is really great for a super-fast pizza fix. They promise 30 minute delivery and I got my pizza in a little under 20 min, which beats basically every option to get a pizza in SF. Unfortunately, you can only choose between two pizzas which change weekly. I choose one pepperoni(which was the only option available for the beta) and it arrived hot and fresh. They also don’t have an iOS app yet, but the web app works just fine. Will be ordering pizza from here on those alcohol-induced nights when you just gotta have a pizza right now.
