Is now for sale. Luisa Hansen, you drove out an amazing San Francisco tradition to gut the space and put it up for sale in a down market? I hope the John Barleycorn owners can buy it from you at a firesale price.

I have to pony in here, I live around the corner, this place is not yet open, we do NOT know who the license owner will be, it could be someone just leasing the building from the evil witch herself, its unfair to put a zero stars on a person who might have know relation to Luisa’s. I am Irish & manage a REAL Irish pub, I’ll be the first to re-edit my post if it turns out to be a fake Irish pub run just to make money. Until then does anyone know who is applying for the liquor license and remember, until the big yellow ABC notice goes in the window they have to wait a month before opening, theres no sign of that yet.

This place is cursed. Regardless of who owns or runs it or works here or drinks here, this joint has a gnarly hex all over it, and is going to for many, many years. Whoever has the audacity to open a bar at this location is a goddamn moron, with the memory and good sense of a goldfish. Unless, of course, it’s any of the JB heads, in which case, rager!

Here’s a fun fact: the building inspector for this sad flop-in-waiting is also named Duffy! So this means that when they removed the asbestos the other day they didn’t have to warn their neighbors! Should this bar ever open, please boycott. The owner is a MENACE. Check out the beloved bar that should be here
