Love this place! It’s now my go-to burrito spot. Their chicken is all organic and fresh, none of that diced up processed junk they have at most places. The staff is also super friendly, which is always appreciated. I will say that parking can get a little hectic at times, but It’s never been too long of a wait. Also, fried plantains… Mmmm. ‘Nuff said!

My wife is Cuban so we decided to try this place as we were told that we could find a couple of authentic Cuban dishes here. Fish tacos sounded good to me(not a cubam dish) but I’ve had far better fish tacos else where. The potato salad was average and the cole slaw lacked flavor. The chicken and maduro(fried plantains) on the other hand were out of this world and I’m comparing this with authentic Cuban food I’ve eaten in South Florida. My wife said that her macaroni salad was just as she remembered it growing up in South Florida.

This is a great local«non gentrified» Latin American joint. The charbroiled chicken is their claim to fame and is always on point. I’m Haitian and while it’s not Haitian food, the rice and beans + plantains are authentic and made with love. I’ve been there a couple of times and it never disappoints. If you want some real good local Latin food then check out El Pollo!

Security guards in the parking lot are dicks here. I think they work for the shady weed dispensary next door, but they’re messing up the experience. Food is solid.

Burritos were cheap and relatively good. Gave me carne asada instead of el pastor like i requested but its okay

I love them! I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. The chicken is delicious, free fish taco with every check-in and the platanos are always so so so GOOD! I’m sure that I probably love this place because I’ve had good memories with it, but the 3-piece meal with 2 sides is a lot of food for the price!

The food was ok and yes the chicken was a little bit dry. I didn’t know that there were 3 ways to have your meal there. 1. For here, 2. To go and 3. Eat and you have to go. After i have eaten i was making a phone call at their parking lot and their security guard asked if i were going to eat in. After telling him that i just finished, i was asked to leave. That’s the last time I will go there.

The name on the signs read El Pollo Supremo but I guess they have a different name on Unilocal.I come here when I want a quick bite and they have this awesome Unilocal offer for a free fish taco. The chicken is really tasty and not cooked with a lot of oil. The fish taco can be soggy but is very tasty. I always love to pick up my freebie fish taco for checking in. The extra star is because they have this really tasty garlic sauce that is made mostly of oil are garlic. It makes the chicken so flavorful when paired together and I’ve never came across any thing similar. And the have Fried Cassava! It was my first time trying it and I was blown away. I love the texture. It is so amazing! It is like french fries but better. These is what makes this place unique and deserving of the extra star for exceeding my expectations. I am still drooling thinking about the fries cassava!

solid place. chicken is seasoned well, but was a tad dry. I could have used more salsa to moisten it up. ordered to go, which turned out well, rice was good, and the fried sweet plantains were awesome. i ate mine taco style with the tortillas they supplied. again, it needed more salsa overall because of the dryness. still, good taste, will be back

Local spot next to my place. Very good chicken, charbroiled, tender, juicy, smoky, and flavorful. The rice and black beans are also very good, reminds me of chicken and rice places back in Florida. Some of the sides are just okay, don’t get the salad. Opt for the beans and rice or macaroni instead

We’ve come here for YEARS. The barbeque Chicken is always fresh and the salsa is just the right amount of spicy. We order the Yucca Frita, which could be shared between two people at a time. The platano frito is also a good choice too. It doesn’t matter what we came to SF for, we make the trip for Pollo Supremo.

So whenever my stepdad doesn’t want to cook and the family is hungry, this has been our go-to spot since we moved to the area over 15 years ago. We have never eaten at the actual place(not the most aesthetically appealing) but always order to go. It’s basically a local spot for a healthier alternative to any fast food and you can feed a family of four for $ 20, seriously that’s a good deal. I like the chicken here better than Pollo Loco and it definitely has more flavor. I mean it’s chicken, rice, beans, & tortillas. pretty simple and the sides are usually fine, not amazing but taste good when you mix it all up with the chicken and salsa. We usually order the tostones too. Other than that we stick to the basics. If you are hungry and want some quick, healthy chicken from a family owned place and happen to be in this area… then this will fit your needs.

For those who’s had Pollo Norteno, this is a very good alternative if you’re in the bay and have a hankering for Latino style, rotisserie chicken. I believe where Pollo Norteno has Mexican based seasonings/offerings, El Pollo Supremo is a Cuban/Mexican based seasonings and offerings. The lady that took our order was really cordial and efficient in taking our order. The horchata was quite good. It wasn’t as sweet as most places, so I hope it wasn’t a mix. The seasoning on the chicken was really, really good. Quite flavorful without it being too overly salty. Unfortunately, it was a bit on the dry side. I believe they cook their chicken and then leave it on the grill until someone places an order. I don’t mind it being kept warm, it just tends to dry out the chicken. They offer other staples here, like flautas, taquitos, fish tacos. I stuck to what they’re known for, the chicken. A good spot and one that I’ll still go to, even with the dryness of the chicken. I’ll just«liven» it up with the beans and salsa that comes with my order.

Chicken here is ALWAYS superb, has been for decades. And the staff is friendly and fun. That would be five stars for this neighborhood. Drinks are good, fried plantains have been alright. But then the deductions begin… –Really, really HORRIBLE cole slaw, just awful! –Salsa tastes like water with red food coloring and a little onion, WTF? –Tortillas: hot, clumpy mess wrapped in foil –Fish taco consists of a greasy fried and breaded fish stick jammed on top of some sort of vegetables on a soft corn taco shell, flavorless calories. Again, they have some of the best chicken in the City(organic to boot!), why oh why does nearly everything else have to not just suck but suck BADLY? They coulda’ been contenders but are stuck in the backwaters floundering along. Always blows my mind when I run across a business like this, Popeyes is a block away and has AWESOME side dishes. My recommendation: just get your chicken here, then walk over to Popeyes and get the rest. PS: this has no relation to the chicken place on ‘Breaking Bad,” however, if you are high on meth you may be able to bear consuming this cole slaw…
