Super yummy! I work 2 stores away from them & today was my first time going. Met 2 of the staff(Darian & Human), super friendly and sweet, can’t wait to get to know more of them! Got 2 slices of pesto, 2 slices of combo, &2 slices of the special o’ day! Super delicious, the slices are huge, but thin. Just the way I like it! Probably gonna go here on my breaks or when I’m too lazy to eat dinner. :)

Great taste. Fast service. They take debit/credit cards. Will return and enjoy. It was late when I got there so I only was able to eat a slice of cheese pizza but it was wonderful.

The cashier with the long hair put up in a pony tail is quite possibly the most entitled rude employee I’ve encountered and should not be working up front. I walk in there listening to music and already hangry from my work out, and he said«How are you doing?» I asked for a slice of supreme pizza, and he stopped me and said«I asked, ‘HOWAREYOUDOING?’» Damn, since when do I need to answer a question before I am served food? He didn’t even smile. Who would say hi to that? Never coming here again for their ripped off $ 5 slices of pizza. I’ll take my business elsewhere!

I called and ordered a pizza/salad and was told 40 – 45 min for delivery(spoke with April). 50 min later I called to ask if our order was close I was told that the driver had left with the wrong order and they had not been able to contact him — When I asked any idea of how much longer April literally freaked out! Said she didn’t know I was using a stop watch to wait for my pizza(in this case dinner for our family) and then hung up. I called back April answered, I asked for a manager and she said she was the manager. Then started yelling(??) saying«there are other orders before yours», «hopefully the driver is not dead», «it’s not my fault that your pizza didn’t deliver on time»… and so on. Then, she hung up again. I called back once again(spoke with Shawn) and asked him to please not hang up and said if the pizza wasn’t going to deliver soon we just needed to cancel and I would order from someone else. He said«who knows, but if you keep calling back we can’t call the driver». What!?! This is all they do, right? Just make pizza and deliver it. Terrible. FOLLOWUP — our poor delivery guy just showed up. Unfortunately, 1.5 hrs after our original order we placed and received dinner from another pizza shop. Interesting, I provided April/Shawn with both our land line and my cell for an update on the status of our order … Nothing from either.

The pizza is not as good as their Haight location, and the guy at counter was EXTREMELYRUDE. My boyfriend and I came here late last night. I ordered 3 slices of pizza, but was only charged for one(I didn’t even notice until after sitting down to eat). It was late and after walking super far to get to the restaurant, I was completely out of it and forgot to put tip on my card. The whole time, the cashier was glaring at me. I didn’t know why until we left. As we were leaving, he yells«THANKSFORTIPPING!!» in the most condescending way possible. Apparently, he figured if he didn’t charge me for those 2 slices, I would have used that money to give him a fat tip. How confusing and misleading? I would have rather him charged me for all 3 slices and left me alone! I will definitely NOT be returning to this location. Horrible service! Stay away!

Generally good pizza, but their management has clearly sold their soul. They subscribe to the belief that quantity heavily outweighs quality. The guy at the counter tonight literally said to me that they didn’t have the license to add veggies to a cheese slice — what??! No agency regulates that! Absurd and dishonest. Won’t be returning there.

Unreliable and dishonest … Regular crappy pizza delivery that you have to wait for eternity. Then they mess up your order … call them, complain … «ohh so sorry … next time half off, ok?» … Order next time, call them … «can I get my promised half-off?» … «What? We have no note of it … sorry …» Will never order from them again … they obviously don’t care if the customer orders again or not …

Very small place on Polk street. They don’t have a bathroom but the pizza was great! Fresh and hot! Guy at the counter was very friendly. No parking and prices range from $ 4 and $ 5 per slice

Decent pizza place. Their slices are pretty big and they usually have a nice selection of four to five types of pies. Their employees are really great too, and the interior décor really shows a love for New York. Spot the two«Escape From New York» Snake action figures on the wall. I love those things. The space is incredibly limited during the day time and around dinner time. Best suited for pick-up and take-out. Great place to go late at night. They always have some great jams playing. Eat here TONITE

Darn:(The pizza sounded sooooo good on the menu, but in reality it wasn’t. First off I should say the good: The delivery came on time and the delivery girl was super nice. The bad: Despite the pizza had tons of ingredients on it, it was not flavorful at all. It honestly tasted like eating just crust… and the crust sadly wasn’t great. Boo! I do not suggest the pizza«Miss Figgy». It sounds good, but isn’t :(

Late night, freshly made pizza on a Friday night after Polk? Nothing is better. Although it took us a bit of time to trek here, we made it and were not disappointed. Despite most of the veggie pizza being sold out and it almost being 1:30 am, the man working there made the 5 of us a fresh mushroom pizza. It was warm, delicious and hit the spot. Howeverrr under other circumstances, this pizza would probably be 3 stars :) But the service /fresh pizza gives it a 4 in my books. Will return!

I absolutely adore this place. without a doubt my favorite spot to grab lunch while working. the atmosphere is divey unlike the rest of the nose up — ever gentrifying San Francisco(emphasis on Polk street). Brandon is always a pleasure to talk to and 100% of the time makes my experience well worth the walk. The rest of the staff resembles a small family and never fails to say hello to me by name as soon as I step into the establishment. pizza is always awesome — huge slices without skimping on anything. this place kills it. 100

One of the BEST pizza places I’ve tried! The pesto pizza was amazing and if I could I would eat a whole pizza to myself! Love that it’s by the Slice, easy convenient and affordable!

This is one of my favorite pizza places in the City. The pizzas are good and I have been buying from them for a long while. Now the people that work here are usually cool and they are sort of related to the people that work at ZA which I also frequent, but occasionally you get some one who is less cool. Or just doesn’t make any sense. This past week or so I came in and ordered 3 slices of pizza. They gave me the smallest slices possible. And on top of that, the person helping me dropped the biggest slice and then replaced it with a small slice. The guy was like, «oh sorry, but I will give you one for free.» Hm…ok, thanks, but that doesn’t make it alright. I can actually pay for my pizzas. I can really use a bigger slice instead 3 smallest slices as I am feeding 3 hungry people. Myself included. Grrr… Oh and when I ask them whether there were other pizzas coming out soon, they are like, «No» and then right when I was about to leave, they came out with pepperoni! WTF. I asked them to change one of the slices out for the pepperoni and of course the guy there gave me the stink eye. But you know what, I have had enough of it. And I should have ask that he change out the smaller slices too but I didn’t. Thus the 2 stars. It’s for the UNCOOL person or people working there…

Used to be a good pizza place, now it’s just sloppy pizza with subpar ingredients. Really sad. I grew up in SF, going to Escape from NY so always support and promote their locations. Not this one. I usually find that at by the slice places like E from NY it’s always better when you order an actual pie not an individual slice. But I still expect a slice of pizza to be passable, especially when it costs up to $ 10 for 2 slices. The cheese is always cold and chewy, toppings(like their sausage) not very appealing and the desire of the staff to keep fresh pizza stocked non existent. I understand that I shouldn’t expect fresh of the freshest slices, but come on guys, your slices are always old and lazily looked after. Also, put a smile on your face, Haha. I already feel guilty that I’m stuffing myself with pizza, don’t make me feel awkward or as if I’m annoying you as well. You do work at the place I’m trying to purchase something, so not sure why you look so annoyed when I walk in and say hi. Do I have a scary face?

Consistently the best pizza I’ve had. I’ve tried ordering from other pizza places in the city but I always come back to Escape from New York. I’ve tried their pizza on their Haight street location as well and it’s amazing. You can’t go wrong with any of their options. My personal favorites are glorious chicken, buffalo ranch, and the great escape. I also am an avid fan of the ones where you choose your own toppings, like artichokes and olives or pepperoni and pineapple. The ingredients here are always fresh, the tomato sauce is tangy and robust, the cheese has a great umami flavor, and the crust here is the perfect blend of crispy and soft. Their online ordering system needs some work so I definitely recommend calling them. They also store your credit card number and address, which is truly a life-saver! The best pizza in San Francisco, hands-down!

I may have found the fountain of youth again. In my younger days, I would go find any place that is open after the bar is closed for a quick bite to absorb the alcohol. I was a hardcore party-animal at that time. As a result, I got fat and gained weight for doing this. Fast forward 20 plus years later, I may no longer consume a high-dose of alcohol again. Nor my liver can withstand the assorted beer and/or liquor. I still rely on a greasy slice of pizza to alleviate my inebriation. For $ 4.50, my slice of pizza has pepperoni, sausage, onion, and peppers. Quite pricey for a slice of pizza, but I was drunk and not willing to drive all over the city to save money on eats. So I could care less. As long as this pizza place is open after the bar is closed, I am one happy drunk-bastard!

Went here again last night and ordered pizza by the slice. It was wayyyy better than when we ordered delivery. I actually really enjoyed the sauce on the plain cheese. The pesto with spinach and sun dried tomatoes was also amazing. *open late *order by the slice not delivery
