Florabunda

Finding this place was a complete fluke. I was on my lunch break and decided to go to Jamba Juice and ended up parking right in front of Florabunda. I decided to stop in and inquire about flowers for my upcoming wedding, something I was still yet to book a vendor for with only a month left until the big day. I was greeted by Robyn, who was super friendly. She scheduled a consultation for me after hours so that she could give me her full attention with no interruptions. Robyn is very thorough and very knowledgeable. To top it off, her prices are extremely reasonable! Robyn is amazing and my wedding flowers were absolutely beautiful! I am so glad I stumbled upon this place, I will be a return customer and would highly recommend Florabunda to anyone!

Robyn is awesome. She offers home delivery on little notice, regularly recurring deliveries and often makes trips to the cemetery to deliver my loved ones flowers. Arrangements are always unique and I love them and the service.

I came here awhile ago. The owner was rude. As the sales associate helped me, the owner ignored my presents as well as other customers. Given that she may be tired, her actions were still far fetched. When picking out flowers, the assistant asked how much each stem were, and she grumply mumbled us a price. When I was purchasing the flowers, the owner walked passed me swiping wet flowers all over my dress! This made me really mad! However, the flowers here are very good. The assistant was really nice, but I will never go back here

This business is intimate and creative with arrangements and is recommended when you need thoughtful pieces for special occasions, or would like special touch-​ups around the house. If you do not know what you want there are many pre-​made options that are good to have and easy to maintain.

Our Thanksgiving table centerpiece and door swag of orange peppers with French ribbon made us happy turkeys. We chose an orange-​tinted cabbage for the middle of the flowers for a touch of whimsy. Robyn and her partner picked up the idea and used it for others, very flattering. Coming from Boston, where the Flower Shop of Choice (Winstons) once sent me after surgery nine arrangements exactly the same, I was delighted with the original thinking and great selection here.

Excellent service! Robyn really cares about her customers’ satisfaction. She was very generous and had a lot of input in my corsage and my date’s boutonnière — matching baby white roses with some other flower and some accessory. My dress was black and turquoise. I brought it in and she looked for possible ribbons that might have matched my dress… and since she didn’t have much left of one of the ribbons, she actually went through all the trouble going out to downtown to buy extra. WOW! Now that’s what I call hard-​working and excellent customer service. Unfortunately, in the end, I was a little disappointed with the size of the corsage; I wanted it to be bigger and have longer ribbons. But whatever, it still looked very pretty!

Robyn’s flower shop is so pretty, you can’t help but to go inside to just look or shop. All of her plants are so unique. She has the best orchids in town a perfect gift for that special man or family member which are all so gorgeous. For prom you can’t beat getting your date the perfect boutonnière or corsage for that special night and it doesn’t break the bank. She makes the perfect boutique for your child’s dance recital too. Robyn is so warm, friendly and very knowledgeable on what to get and colors. It’s a pleasure to visit her shop and leave happy. She has such amazing scented earth friendly candles and other gifts. It’s just great to shop in a neighborhood just like the good olé days. Just stop by and see for yourself you won’t be disappointed. So Cheers to Robyn and Nick too!

Great store, beautiful plants and floral arrangements. Nice but small selection of gifts. The owner is very warm and friendly and seems to really enjoy her business. All and all shopping here is a great experience

Make sure you stop in the store when you have time to linger. It’s a small shop, but the owner has all sorts of suggestions for those, like myself, for whom plant care is not intuitive.

I don’t have any pets so my new plant, which I walked over all the way from the Haight Street Hardware Store has quickly become my baby.
I play good music for it.
I open the window for it so it can put it’s big leaves outside and get a sense of the outdoors.
I open up all the blinds before I go to work, so it gets plenty of light.
I water it… making sure it’s soil is moist.
I examine it’s leaves regularly to make sure it’s healthy.
I even talk to it sometimes.
So I figured today would be the perfect time, to buy a nice pot for my baby this weekend.
Florabunda was perfect for the occasion. As soon as I walked in, I saw elegant sunflowers, lush plants, and just a beautiful array of healthy looking green.
The owner Robin was talking to a woman about a verdant lush fern, and just by the way she was talking, I knew I’d be coming back here often to get more plants for my place and to learn about caring for them.
Robin was very friendly and helpful, and explained to me the best way to water my plants (immersing small plants in a bucket to get them fully wet — and then trying them out on a rack works wonders), and advised me to invest in some plant food. It was evident in just our brief interaction that Robin has a deep passion for gardening and plants and obviously knows her stuff. The prices of all of the plants in her store, all in excellent condition, were also very reasonably priced.
I ended up buying a big pot, a new vase, three sunflowers, and a gorgeous fern. Robin’s boyfriend Nick was even kind enough to help me carry the stuff back.
Florabunda is an excellent addition to the Inner Sunset area. It brightens up the area with vivid flowers and shades of green. They provide that much more oxygen, color, and good energy for Irving street.
Definitely stop in, if you’re in the area.

This is a great shop run by a lovely person named Robyn. She has a heart of gold, great knowledge about plants and flowers, and a cute boyfriend. She is friendly and generous. It is a pleasure to shop here. The energy is very positive. We are lucky to have Robyn in the ‘hood.

I went on a walk through my neighborhood one day and happened upon Florabunda. I had seen the store before from the outside and was always intrigued. Neat name, lots of pretty plants outside. This day, thought I’d drop in and look for a plant for the place where my partner and I now live. After a long day of staring at a computer screen, I was happy to let that intrigue guide me in…
When I walked in I was greeted by Robin, a fellow geek — only she’s as geeky about plants as I am about technology. She had all sorts of suggestions on plants for me, She shared stories of plants from around the world, the joys of teaching kids + the importance of plants in the classroom as well as the responsibility of taking over the business and old customers from the previous owner of Florabunda (whom she bought the business from). It’s not like she was really trying to sell me anything though — far from it — she was simply happy to share her passion for plants, it radiated from her — and out into the rest of the shop.
Although I had not seen the shop before she renovated it, I could tell that a lot of time and care had gone in to making the shop a welcome space to walk into and be among plants. There were some really lovely plants within it along with some very odd and rare looking plants, each with it’s own story (which she happily shared with me). As I had some time, I ended up hanging out in the shop for nearly an hour, talking and chatting, engaging with random customers that came in and even walking outside to hang out on the stoop with her and her boyfriend for a while and chat with neighbors — all before walking out with a lovely plant for my new home.

I have been here a few times before with the previous owner. Although a bit pricey it’s always been worth it. The flowers they have for the arrangements aren’t your usual creepy carnations and run of the mill roses… they are unique and creative type greenery with exotic flowers. They eye they have for arrangements is wonderful. Thanks Nick and Robin, welcome to the hood.

great value!!! I asked for a $ 20 bouquet and then wondered why I ever went elsewhere or spent more at other places!
$ 5 was all I paid for single flowers as inexpensive acknowledgement gifts — rose, tulip, cala lilly (with ribbon and greenery)! what a deal!
