Good Vibrations

I love most of these Good Vibrations but the other night I stopped by with a friend 15 minutes before closing to get some much needed supplies for the night, and to my surprise the store was closed! We knocked since the lights were on and two women opened up saying they were closed. When we pointed out that there was still (at this point in time) 10 min left they reluctantly let us in.
While my friend was purchasing goodies I decided on an impulse buy trying to figure out between sizes as they pushed me out the door. So rude! Now I’m stuck with something that is way too big and when I tried to bring it up today when I was in the area the same girl just smirked at me and shrugged and said «sorry».

I have never gone to a good vibrations with a partner before and I was very nervous. I’ve never been a big sex toy user and I am clueless as to what many of the things in the store are. I was giggling nervously but the store employees were so so kind and welcoming to me and I felt comfortable asking my questions to them. They were all very attentive. And it impressed me. they let me know about the specials going. I was at the store Jan 3^rd evening around 7pm so all the employees that worked that night are awesome and should be recognized for their amazing work and positive attitudes!!!

It is expensive, you can buy anything here for less at other places. Still I am a fan, it is clean, friendly normal staff that knows their stuff. This is a good toy store for people creeped out by toy stores.

I really like this store. I’ve have very positive, informative, non-​judgmental experiences with the staff. It is so nice to visit a woman-​positive sex shop for once. They have a section of kink, but you’d be hard pressed to find abusive, derogatory toys, videos, or literature. It’s so refreshing. It’s a well lit store and I don’t feel like I’m going to be attacked by any of the staff or other clientele, unlike almost all other sex shops.
Good vibrations is great!
I also have a frequent customer punch card but they discontinued doing that. Despite this, they chose to honor the cards. That is awesome customer service!!!

Oh yessssss, I finally got the nerved to go in… I wanted to purchase something for myself and for a friend for Xmas. I found what I was looking for… but she opened package already: (!!! She like her new toy. It’s compact size and quiet but powerful!!! This place is really nice… very clean, but $$$. I guess it’s worth it!!! Highly Recommended… I will be back!!!

Great staff! Showed us new toys that we loved. They informed us with a lot of info. Tips to people. Sometimes your credit card will deny the transaction cause of their business. So I recommend cash

Huge selection of huge erections… sort of. ;) Seriously though this is a clean and safe environment to purchase at reasonable prices, your favorite bedroom accessories. They didn’t have the Sybian when we went, but that won’t stop us from going back.

My friend and I drove from Hayward to visit this lovely gem and I am glad we did! This is the type of sex store we have been looking for. They have a great selection of toys and items at high quality.
The sales associates are extremely personable and helpful. They take notice of what you have in your basket/​hand and make recommendations and give advice. For example– I had a pair of the small steel kegel balls in my basket and she asked if I was familiar with them. She recommended starting with some of the larger silicone balls instead since the ones I had are for advanced users. She even took them out of the box for me so I could see how small they were and feel their weight.
The only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars is because they don’t have a wide selection of Ben Wa, Giggle, and Kegel balls. I was hoping for larger steel ones. The only balls they offer are the tiny steel ones, and the silicone set of 3 that you work your way through (each have different weights). I would have purchased these but they were way too expensive.

The ladies there are attentive, knowledgeable, and unobtrusive. Used a Unilocal deal here and had no issues.
Store layout is… a bit open so I felt like everyone was looking to see what I was browsing at. It was my first time in a sex shop, and although professional-​looking, clean, and informative, I still felt shy.
Some of the prices on the products weren’t clearly marked, which is my only complaint. I don’t want to have to keep asking how much something is. Also the prices are a bit high to me, but I’m not sure if that’s the norm since I’m a newb to the products carried here.

Highly recommend this Good Vibes location. The staff is helpful and knowledgable. Easy to get to, and pretty open and welcoming. It would be cool if they had classes at this location.
However, one of the girls that works there needs to think about what she is saying to people. It wasn’t that bad, but going into this store can make people a little uncomfortable. A friend of mine came with me and instead of just telling her hello, she yelled out saying that my friend had come back AGAIN?! oh excuse me, I thought that’s what you wanted me to do. But doing that to her, made her not really feel comfortable about going back.

Huge store with wide selection and, of course, historic (almost 40 years!), but this review is for the staff. Super well-​informed, positive, and friendly.

The place for bedroom (and beyond) «goodies.» When my wife and I are enjoying the city and the Mission in particular, we often stop by and peruse both the classic and new items at GV. What makes this place special is the staff– gotta give it up to them… they never make you feel awkward, which is a bonus even if I cannot help but giggle at some stuff. Most importantly they are super knowledgeable. We usually end up walking out with an item or two and if not, I do have the online store bookmarked on my computer.

This definitely seems like a store geared toward women — which is a fine and good thing — but, as a man, it just wasn’t doing much for me.
It’s sterile in here. Not saying I want a worn-​out, greasy sex store or anything (also not saying I’m opposed), but I do want some personality, a little bit of flair. I felt like I was in the Apple Store of sex stores. Most of the toys here are geared toward women, too.
There was a helpful, attractive younger girl working at the front. She made sure to welcome us and let us know about specials, etc. I always find my customer service at sex shops rivals nearly every other kind of establishment I visit. I’ll just assume it’s because these people really love their job.
My gf seemed to like what they had here, which again confirms this is the sort of place where women can come to browse and ask questions and feel comfortable.

Dear Good Vibrations.
I visisted your beautiful store earlier this year, in January. I was lucky enough to score a vibrator and a bumper sticker that says «I got my other ride at Good Vibrations.»

Good Vibrations This is an awesome sex positive shop. The shop girls are helpful and knowledgable, they are friendly and not at all pushy. Always ready to answer questions if you have them.

If you want a safe place to shop and explore fun adult products, come here. It is very well lit, clean and the consultants here are experts at what they sell. They even have book reading nights where authors read passages from their books on display!

This is the ONLY sex shop I would ever feel comfortable in. The employees are SO friendly, but they don’t hover over you as you shop around. They leave you to your business, yet are always available if you need help or have a question.
They offer a huge selection of toys, condoms, lube, novelty items, books, magazines, bondage accessories, etc. They have pretty much everything you need to tickle your fancy.

So I recall a few years back seeing this place and wondering, what in the hell is that place about?!
A friend and I would always pass by this place since we volunteered for the Women’s building on Guerrero, and we decided that one day we’d check it out.
On a free day that we had, we walked here, not knowing what to expect. When we first went in, we could not contain our laughter. This place is basically almost like Willy Wonka’s factory, but for adults. We found ourselves playing around with the different toys, testing out the vibrations (on our palms, you nasties), dying because we’d pretend we were playing with swords (we were that immature). However, the place overall was clean, spacious, and did not scream out «nasty» at all.
There are different items here that works for both female and male. Some things are shiny, other things are squishy, and then there’s the wall of prosthetic penises hanging (they have names, which made me die on spot). There are also books, novelty items, items for bridal showers, bachelorette/​bachelors parties, weddings, birthdays, etc. Some of the prices may seem a bit over the top. But you’re technically paying for your own pleasure (teehee).
The workers are really helpful here! They knew we were there just to look around but they still explained to us the different vibrators and other accessories. Since we also had flyers for our volunteer work, they were kind enough to let us leave some of our flyers by the front of their store.
Its a fun place to go to by yourself, with your gal pals (cuz I know guys wouldn’t come here together), and with your significant other :) if you’re lucky you could even find the penis book hahaha!
