Clerk demanded to hold wife’s purse at front — refused to let us shop. So a 60 year old Chinese woman is supposed to let a 20 year old kid hold her 700 $ Prada with 400 $ in it with a corporate Amex, CA DL, etc? Sure she could have taken her wallet out, but it’s still an expensive purse, and who wants to walk around shopping with their wallet in their hand ?

It’s funny we had no problems shopping at Rock Hard, Folsom Gulch, Mr. S, Good Vibes or any of the other stores we’ve frequented over the last 20 years.

Small store but good selection of toys. I had to stop at a few places to find the toy that I was looking for… which I will not name but I finally found it at Phantom and not only that but I had a few brands to choose from. I was kinda surprised that this little shop had such a selection that matched a few of the bigger stores in the area. Not that I go to sex stores in the Castro on the regular but next time I am looking for something I will for sure be heading back to Phantom.

I had been here a couple of times and there was nothing very worth mentioning. Average prices and an OK selection.
However, today I came in on my own in the evening. The store was empty except for the clerk. The moment I came in, he asked to leave my backpack at the entrance. It is a small backpack where I keep my gym clothes.
This put me off totally. No other store in SF had so far asked me to do this. And if it is to be done, I would expect it to be done more politely, with a humble smile, within a question sentence and with a «please» in the end. It was not done.
I found what I was looking for in the store, but this whole bag issue put me off so much that I didn’t take it and went somewhere else to buy it instead.

I’m not one to write reviews. However, I feel that I must for this store.
At first the clerk greeted us and seemed pretty nice, until we needed help. Then it went downhill from there. The guy seemed to be put out for even asking the question, then gave us a look like «who the f@#$ do you think I am?». He never did answer our question, was rude and the feeling I got from this store was «I hate that you’re in my store, just leave the money on the counter and get the hell out!!!» It was an awful experience, in which I will never return to this store.
EXTREMELY disappointed!
Go two doors down to Rock Hard. There you’ll find friendly staff and a great selection of items.

I honesty cannot remember which experiences I had here and which ones at Rock Hard… I bet that is common! It is SO weird that they are almost next door. I would honestly just go back and forth and price check! Usually stuff like this is cheaper online, but they do have a great range of stuff and it is available right away. GOD there are a lot of sex shops in the Castro, sheesh!
