It’s messy compared to other stores of a similar nature nearby. Lots of small objects here and there. Run down. Lots of light bulbs– even halogen. An odd mix between a hardware store and a general home goods store.

I live right down the street so I come here a lot. Its a small store, so they don’t have everything, but they manage to pack it in well, so you can find most everything you need. If you’re in the Inner Richmond, this is a helpful little store.

Called this store on the phone to check if they have a tool box that they might have in stock according to manufacturer website, the lady told me that she has no time to check it. Nice service experience, made me smile and def deserves 1 star!

We have lived in the neighborhood for seven years and my husband likes the convenience of this store. He needed some Scotch Guard for new suede boots so I asked the woman who owns the store and she directed me. It wasn’t exactly what I needed(it was for fabric) but I bought it for $ 10. Her son rang me up and never asked if I wanted a receipt, just tossed it aside behind the counter. Husband came home and upon closer inspection realized it could not be used on suede. I took it back to the store and Mom was at the counter. She proceeded to question me about the receipt, shook the can and said it felt as if I had used it. She took another can(this one for carpet), shook it and said mine didn’t feel full. I explained how I had not used it because it shouldn’t be used for suede. She slid the can at me and said she would not refund the money. I should have demanded she put batteries in a kitchen scale to weigh it. $ 10 to me is not a lil money to me at this point for a product I do not need, but what more could I do to prove to her that it was not used? Not much so I told her ok, but we would no longer shop there. From the other reviews this is her M.O. Too bad they don’t make the tops od cannisters with the tabs that break when on this product.

Not as much flair as the likes of Frederickson’s on Fillmore or Cole Hardware on Polk, but they have what you need without a frou-frou selection. I do enjoy hardware stores with a little pizazz, but this neighborhood spot has friendly service and low prices. After 3 trips, and with consulting from a friend, I managed to get everything I needed to assemble my bed frame.

Yes, you probably have what I want/need. Yes, the item will be hard to find. Yes, I guarantee it will be 20% more expensive than at a big box store(but 5 blocks from home, not a soul-sucking slog down the peninsula). Honestly, it’s a hardware store on Clement — it shouldn’t be a mind-bender to know what you’re in for before walking though the door.

Funny how you think it’s a compliment that you look young, not here! I walk into this store the lady in the front gives me the evil eye. They must have thought I was some teenager ready to steal some serious hardware! Whatever! I was happy about some cosmetic purchases a few doors down and thought I MIGHT find something in here for the bathroom. After I walked around the lady told her son to follow me. Are you kidding me? As she’s watching me in the security television. Dang! Guess I’m not throwing down my money in here! So I walked out thinking well this stuff is dusty from sitting on the shelves so long and overpriced anyway! Do not waste your time it’s cheaper at Home Depot and they don’t creep you out!

same place as the listing for True Value Hardware. This little place is great. Just like the other person said, no matter what i’m looking for they seem to have it. Walgreens didn’t have my Shoe Goo, but this place did. And i’m sure it was cheaper.

This store is run by Asian women, so it is NOT a sexist male dominated hardware experience. The prices are great, and they have almost everything, and will order things for you also. It’s tiny, so it may take you a few visits to figure out where everything is, but the savings over the other local hardwares will be worth it.

Random cheap hardware and houseware like mops, tupperware, light bulbs, etc. The packaging for some items may be dusty but the price is right. Parking sucks so I can only haul so much home. Good place if I just don’t feel like visiting Kamei 3 blocks down.
