I deeply enjoy using Laura Mercier products. High quality cosmetics that actually LAST?! Yes, please. Thanks to Adam for spending a couple hours with my friend and I getting us all set up with an entire collection of new products. Adam is such a patient and skilled make-up artist. His authentic care and knowledge was greatly appreciated as he found all the right colors for our skin-tone. Adam challenged us to try bolder lip colors and encouraged us in what beauty is really all about. My friend and I both left with huge smiles knowing we were stunningly beautiful from the inside and the outside. TIP: I don’t think it is well known that Laura Mercier has a fragrance line– BUTITISAWESOME. it is now my favorite and I highly recommend it if you like ‘food’ fragrances.

I am so excited to write a review for Lena Chavez who is a GREAT makeup artist. Lena works for Laura Mercier and also does some freelance, so I hired her to come to my house and do my makeup for my 30th birthday dinner. She was soooo professional and easygoing as we did my makeup in the kitchen. Also, I love the Laura Mercier line b/c of Lena’s encouragement and she only used Laura Mercier the day she did my birthday makeup. I felt like I got way more than I paid for and my birthday was a HUGE success b/c Lena made me so beautiful!

Laura Mercier has great make-up and this counter has great people. I went here last year to see if I can do my own make-up for my simple City Hall ceremony. Lena Chavez helped me and I liked her and the result(see pic). Lena made out a worksheet to show me what was being used and all the tricks and tips to apply the foundation, eyeliner, blush, eyeshadow… Just in case you are wondering, I was not confident enough to do my own makeup and decided to go with professional help. Look for my review on that. However, the stuff I bought from Laura Mercier is still being put to good use. I use them whenever I am going out to dinner with my hubby or to a party.

I RARELY buy makeup. I prefer not to use it if I don’t have to, and therefore don’t use very much of it on a regular basis. That’s why I tend to buy about 5 makeup items a year. Seriously. In an attempt to be more«girly,» I decided to attend the Laura Mercier event(thanks for the invite Kristy). I was expecting there to be a ton of women waiting to get their faces made up, but when I finally found the LM counter, there was only one other person bieng helped by an artist. Danielle, the regional artist who helped me out was fantastic. Admittedly I was a little scared at first, not knowing whether to trust her but she quickly won my heart. I was in a hurry, having only 30 minutes to get to work. Danielle and her partner(didn’t get a name) were able to work on my makeup in under 20 minutes. I ended up walking away with 3 products for a whopping $ 82. I justify that by reminding myself that it’s only a once per year purchase. Needless to say, I was the prettiest chef’s assistant at work that day :)

Finally a foundation for my skin-type! Yee! I had a great experience here today with the staff that I had to Unilocal about, the oil free foundation has done my skin justice. Thank you ladies! They managed to do what few other ladies in make-up sales have done for me in the past — I left looking more than decent and wasn’t pressured at all to buy any of the products, the application and such helped the products sell themselves. They also have an awesome brow filler that is amazing. :) I plan on updating to a «five star» after a couple weeks… can’t wait to see how the product will wear UPDATETO5STARS ;)

Laura Mercier is all about the flawless face( ) and so am I… I adore putting makeup on, and love when my skin looks healthy, even, non-greasy and natural — so I was curious to learn more about Laura Mercier’s long wearing and oil free foundation line, after a recommendation from a co-worker. I stopped in here on my mall«get ready for Vegas» trip the other day and was extremely impressed with all of Laura Mercier’s high quality products. The Laura Mercier rep helping me was not exactly the friendliest of make-up reps that I’ve come across, but in a short matter of time she found the perfect color tone for me, listened to my skin concerns, applied the sample makeup for me so I could see what kind of coverage it gave, and didn’t oversell me on any other products. The other day I went out on the town recently wearing some Laura Mercier products and couldn’t stop staring at myself in shop windows. My skin evenly glowed, you couldn’t tell I was wearing makeup, and above all my pores were happy. If you’re looking to find a light efficient foundation — Laura Mercier should be your first and only stop.

TIGHTLINE! That’s all needed to make the difference apparently. Coworker: You look really nice. Did you do something different? Your makeup maybe? Me(wondering if I always look a kindergartener gone wild facepainting on normal mornings): Slightly different makeup application this morning. Coworker: Well, whatever you’ve done, it looks great! Seriously, have I been walking around all this time looking like a schleb? Uhh… Note: This is a review of the Laura Mercier counter at NORDSTROM, not Bloomingdale’s.

Oh, come on — Angela is great! She has a voice kind of like Chandler’s girlfriend but I mean that in a good way. Very charming. And she knows what she’s doing — she won’t oversell you. My 10 minute makeover was killer. Yeah, the stuff is way overpriced. Just get the eyeliner — there’s nothing like it. I’m tellin’ ya.

Love it. I hate make up, but as I’ve gotten older, I have come to appreciate it. I don’t like too much. If this was baby bear’s make up, it would be-just right. This is my beauty regimen that takes five minutes. Girls, if you are doing this longer than five-STOP. Yeah, you heard me! put that blush brush down! besides blush is out. Do you really want to look like a floozy? (Several raise hands) Okay, whatever go ‘head. I met the lady there at the counter who was super nice. She’s super! Did I tell you she was super? Anyway, she made me up right there on the spot and this is what I do now, when I want to look a little more dolled up, but it still looks super natural. Step 1. get a box… just kidding… I wash my face. Step 2. cut a hole. just kidding… I moisturize. Step 3. I put the Foundation Primer(Hydrating) on, which moisturizes the skin well so that when you put on the powder, it’s even. Step 4. Apply Undercover for the secret camoflague to hide pesky zits and the secret concealer which gets rid of dark circles under the eyes. Step 5. put the mineral powder on with a big fat brush all over the face. It also has SPF15 in it. finished look-http://static.px.yelp.com/photo/wL-LI0ZXw6m1M8QyecoeaQ/l This is what I do at home thanks to the ultra-professional, awesome girl who helped me. Thanks for helping me who is make-up challenged.
