Walgreens

I was in the mall shopping when I realized I wanted a snack. I saw the Walgreens in the food court and though perfect, I can grab something like chips or popcorn. I stopped by on Monday, June 6^th around 2:15pm.
I decided on popcorn, but their selection was really small. They had Orville Redenbacher’s: Natural light Classic butter and sea salt or Kettle korn (both on sale at 2 for $ 5 or $ 2.99 each for a 3 bag box), Act II Butter lovers ($ 2.79 for 3 bag box or $ 0.99 per bag), or Pop Secret Homestyle ($ 3.99 for 3 bag box). I decided to go with the pop secret, but I wish they had a wider selection.
Convenient Walgreens if you’re walking around the mall, but this is a smaller location, so they don’t have much variety. If you’re looking for a larger Walgreens, just go out on Powell or Market. There’s a bunch of them right outside the San Francisco Centre.

Went in tonight to get a chicken salad grab&go sandwich, pretzels & Ghirandelli chocolate square. As usual, line was long to check out. Cashier attempted to ring up purchase. I ran my debit card through when cashier said she couldn’t complete sale b/​c product was bad according to the scanner. I was concerned about the food safety of my purchase. I asked to speak to the manager about Walgreen’s food safety. After a couple of minutes I was told that Raphael, the manager, was on his way to speak to me about Walgreen’s unsaleable product. On his way, he saw someone he knew, gave him a high five, and began a conversation with his acquaintance. I declined the purchase since I didn’t want for Raphael to finish his conversation with his bros.
I feel strongly that if a Walgreen’s manager has a customer waiting at the register, he/​she would make that a priority & not detour to begin a chat with his friends. Very unprofessional. But hey? It’s a Walgreen’s so the bar’s set real low for customer service.

The hours posted are incorrect. This walgreens is in the mall so it doesnt open until 10am on weekdays /​saturday and 11am on sunday.

What’s not to like about a Walgreens on every corner in downtown SF. They have all the usual stuff you could need and this place is very colorful and that there are all types of weirdo’s shopping here and tourists too. There are usually panhandlers outside asking for change, but just give them a few coins or ignore them and you should be ok.

Kudos to the cashier who waited patiently as I counted out $ 4 in change to lighten my pockets.
Conveniently located on Market Street. Well stocked. Well lit. Clean. What more could you ask for?
Good selection of chilled beverages and a very ample candy section. Almost any sweets you could imagine!

Here is my tip for Walgreens. No need to wait in line at the regular check out. Use the counter off to the side of these. No one seems to notice this cashier standing here looking for something to do.

Friendly service. Had what I needed and walked past more than once. Very friendly employee took me right to what I asked for and didn’t make me feel stupid! There was a line at the cashier, and I inwardly groaned. But the line moved quickly and efficiently.

How is it possible that the inside of a Walgreens smells worse than the streets outside? The smell of urine permeated the entire front of the store. I actually had to wait outside for my boyfriend to finish shopping.

This Walgreens is conveniently located at the lower mall level near the access to the bart station. I would go if I need to kill some time before the bart arrives. However the lines are ridiculously long sometimes… But it gets going quick. This Walgreens have good customer service especially by the young man named Nelson at the cashier. He was polite. I will be returning when I need to pick up some items on my way home.

I love the Walgreens location. It’s located right inside the Westfield mall in San Francisco. This is first of it’s kind I have ever seen. This location is easiest to get to by BART. It is near a BART station entrance. The staff here are friendly. This is a good Walgreens location to go to.

Probo the Voltronest Walgreens around, especially in the context of the mall.
Think about it — it combines Bristol, Yoppi, Starbucks /​Peet’s, Bare Escentuals, etc.
AND you no longer have to leave the mall and walk the paltry 2 doors up to the Walgreens by Old Navy.
We can keep talking this highbrow stuff, but really, it had me at watermelon.
