Closed as of last Friday. RIP McD’s. I guess they don’t get as much foot traffic as the Front & Market St stores.

I actually ate at this McDonald’s once or twice back when I was in high school. The lights aren’t very bright, but this place can’t be beat when it comes to the food. Their food is fresh and I like how friendly the staff are. But for this McDonald’s closing early is not very typical since it is close to the Financial District! UPDATE: 5÷5÷2012 This McDonald’s is not that bad, but it was a bit quiet when I came here today. Coming here on a Saturday has given me the idea that maybe this restaurant is open on weekends. This is restaurant is among one of the several eateries that are open even on weekends. It seems like this place is fairly quiet so getting a quick grub here with a few friends/classmates seems to be relatively easy. I checked out the stairs on both sides and it is telling me this McDonald’s has upstairs seating as well? I’m assuming that there are time limits to when they actually make upstairs seating available. Seeing upstairs seating available at fast food restaurants are very rare. The only downside for today was that the men’s restroom was«OUTOFORDER?» That’s a bummer, a total unpleasant surprise! I don’t know who marked no Wi-Fi for this particular McDonald’s location, but my portable device was able to detect Wi-Fi signals so yes I am saying there is Free Wi-Fi here! I like how this McDonald’s is at a 35 degree angle going uphill so walking up and down the hill here is relatively easy that it’s a way to get some exercises done everyday. I’m definitely coming here again if I am in the Financial District! Parking: Finding a spot to park your car in this area is a headache so I don’t recommend driving here. Just walk here or use public transportation instead since it is much easier like that!

When it comes to fast food burgers, on average, McDonald’s is not that great. The one on Pine St., however, is very good. The food is always fresh and the cashiers are usually friendly. There is one who never asks if I want for here or to go and always gives me a to go order, but other than that they do what is expected of them. It’s never overly crowded and the food is quickly prepared, but not fast to the point where it seems like it’s been made before I ordered it. They do have strange hours, closing early every day, but since I only go here during lunch at work, that hasn’t been an issue for me yet. They have dollar sundaes as well, a feature that the McDonald’s on Mission and 16th st. lacks.

Well it is McDonalds. Neat location and interior, but they wouldn’t give a free-refill on my drink. I think this must be the only McDonalds I have ever been to that didn’t have free-refills. Oh, and thanks for filling my cup up with ice to the VERYTOP. I probably didn’t even have a small drink worth of drink in my large cup. I visited this location for breakfast, and the biscuit was pretty rubbery. Normally McDonalds biscuits are pretty good, but this was not prepared properly in some way. Skip it, not because its McDonalds, but because it is a crappy McDonalds.

How can this hole have 3 ½ stars? I bought the 20 Mc Nuggets for $ 5 deal and even though I was hungry could only force myself to eat five or six. I gave the rest to the homeless man at the front door as I had lost my appetite.

Where do I even begin? #1 breakfast, my go-to hangover cure. Sometimes I take an extra shot the night before, just to make sure I will be in perfection condition to savor your greasiness, slurp up the fake OJ and crunch into the golden fried hash browns. What about them chicken nuggets? Golden, with 5 available sauces to dip in. Yummy to the max I order the 10-pack every time(splitting the 20 for $ 4.99 with the new promotion oh-yeah). And sometimes, sometimes, all I need are some fries. The best of the best. A chicken sandwich is also nice. While no Wendy’s, the fact my dolla bill can get me fed is enough, is enough. Much Love, MckeeD.

It’s like a cave inside, no natural light. The food is the same as any other McD store, so not worth discussing. On the other hand I love the pictures of old San Francisco(1800’s, around the time of self-proclaimed Emperor Norton) that decorate this cavern-like McD’s. The photographs are very educational. Most people don’t know that in the past there was snow in SF during the winter. Also not as many problems with homeless sleeping on the sidewalks or building entrances like we have today, because they simply froze to death. Scientists have determined that the cause of this change is the«urban heat island» effect(heat retained by the concrete structures in the city), which has affected the climate of cities around the world. ** Update: they’ve swapped the old SF pics with generic modern paintings of patterns. :( Hours: M-F 7am-7pm, closed on weekends.

Happy meal banned in SF! Looking out for the poor kids who’s folks can’t afford Specialties and Jeffry’s and Baby Gap, SF has banned the Happy meal, unless McDonald’s makes certain changes. They can apparently add some fruit and other crap your sad little ghetto rat won’t eat and get it unbanned. Don’t you wish you were affluent and well educated enough to afford the new and improved Happy Meal for your sprog, or better yet, not eat at places like Micky D’s at all? Bet you do. Monumental abuse of government power by the elite, or just good motherly intentions paving our way to Orwellian hell? You decide. Like my false dichotomy there? Thanks, I’m running for Newsome’s old job and I need the practice. And for the record, I never got Happy Meals but this level of totalitarianism scares me. A good, reasonable idea for the individual does not necessarily make a good law for everyone.

This place is okay… It’s not my favorite McDonald’s. Been here a couple of times and my orders has been wrong… It’s always the same Hispanic guy who messes up my orders… :(

Took family there after Chinese new years parade. Food was hot, fast and made right. No skimp. Very clean! Only prob was upstairs dining was closed so no family booths. Noticed it had health dept. grade of 100! Considering it’s locale, that is very impressive.

Take McD’s for what it is! Cheap, fast, comfort food! I went the other day, and I got a magical combination of soft serve and french fries. It may sound revolting, but try it before you knock it! The sweet creamy soft serve really mixes well with the contrasting crisy, salty, warm french fries! MMM! I’ll post a picture!

So I can’t beat McD! And a bit of indulgence never hurts in life when life can be so unpredictable. I really like the fact that there are no more McD(s) on my way to work or home. I need to make extra effort to get some grease. And this one is a 35 degree uphill. Good, exercise. This is not like other McDonalds. It’s a narrow restaurant and high ceiling. All brown colour theme. Once you reach the destination you see the straw hand fans decoration on the deep brown wood. Very interesting. South American music playing, perfectly decorating an otherwise paint smelled place(looks like the pipes were recently painted.) Me like sans the slightly unpleasant smell. So I have not been back to McD for a while and did not realize they now start serving Angus beef burgers. I ordered the overflowing enormous Swiss Cheese mushroom burger meal. I never like bread buns anywhere. They seldom taste fresh. But the burger here is not bad, just too much food. Well, folks, I am happily filled with the adult version of Happy Meal.

Mc Donalds double cheeseburgers on the dollar menu are like a life line sometimes. Get me ten of them a coke and a smile and I can brighten up any melancholy day at the office. Remember there is no I in team. But there is a mc donalds double cheeseburger on the dollar menu. If I told ya I wasn’t loving it, I’d be lying.

Oreo McFlurry … mmmmmm … perfectly playful child-like treat to counter the seriousness of this overly grown-up workday, bringing me back to center again. thattza nice! … and while it doesn’t apply today, I would like to extend mighty props to the genius that developed the dollar menu. seriously. Who’s a junk food junkie? I am a junk food junkie … and I’ll shout it from the rooftops with pride.

Once in a blue moon, I’ll give into my McVice for a fix of sausage/or egg McMuff… breakfast burrito… fries…or soft serve. This was one of those. Observation — I’ve been on a Mon-Thurs AM, and there’s rarely much of a line, but today was TGI *Friday*, and there was one. Is it because we: a) need a comfort fix to push us to the weekend b) nurse a hangover c) addicted to McVice d) all of the above Hmmmm… *** Today was the 1st time I noticed the wooden paddle fans high above the service counters. They caught my eye since I’d just been to the Leonardo da Vinci exhibit at the Metreon that displayed a slew of his inventions and other accomplishments… serendipity.

You did it this time. A Unilocaler… with Unilocaler’s block. Classic. You went to a place with Unilocaling on your mind. Every bite you took was a word for your review. You looked at the menu while you were eating and took mental notes. You examined the flip side of the plastic forks. You smirked as you noticed how long a customer had to wait before being served. You watched the fry cook as he went to the bathroom and wouldn’t rest until you saw him come out 20 minutes later.(He looked relaxed. but did he wash his hands?) Your friend was forced to thumb through his text messages while you walked about the dining area asking for samples of everyone’s meal. You ordered dessert. You never order dessert. Your friend finally had to go, but you stayed and jotted down incomplete thoughts onto a notepad. Eventually, you made it back to your Unilocal terminal and couldn’t form a single sentence. I don’t know — I think you should just Unilocal something easy this time. Ease back into it. It will be so obvious, though. Shit. How about.. . No, never mind. I was thinking… Fuck. You need to step back for awhile. «Mr. Smyth was playing his folk guitar outside… It was 3PM. The lunch crowd was finally dry and it was a little too early for the dinner rush. He played and smiled and the breeze came again and ensured him that there would be a tomorrow and perhaps another good day after that.» No, dude. Sorry. Wrap it up. «But there’s a guy that sits in front of this McDonald’s. He’ll eat what you don’t want and/or like.» Well, that’s a start. Keep going. .. What else?

I’m not a big fast food fan, but I do love Mickey D’s parfaits for only a buck! So, this morning I decide I better grab a bite to eat and decide to throw in one of their $ 1 sausage burritos too.(I mean, it’s a dollar! Sheesh!) It’s about 9:45 am, a bit early for me still since I have yet to get in to work. There are two other customers besides myself at the front register. One guy is waiting for his food and the other is ordering. I’m still perusing the menu. In the meanwhile, I can’t help but be mesmerized, or rather, amazed at the manager hollering about. It’s this Asian woman and you know she’s in charge by the way her voice is raised and because of her nifty uniform. She’s banging the frozen hash browns on a tray because they are stuck together, and that’s what initially causes me to divert my attention away from the menu and to stare at her and all the racket she’s making. ‘Wow, she sure is yelling really loud to her staff when there’s really no need to… one would think she was running a high end kitchen during the peak lunch hour rush…“ Meanwhile, her humorous and high-pitched voice only confuses her staff and makes them edgy. Does one need to yell so early still? Sure, they’ve been open since 5:30 am, but c’mon now! I’m still waking up myself, but trust me… I’m awake now after hearing all the banging going on there.
