Went to have brunch here and there is a sign on the door saying that the owners have closed the business effective yesterday(5÷10÷14) in order to «take a great opportunity that came our way.» Bummer!

Another great find! My cousin had tried this place and he raved about it. My husband and I got 2 paninis. We got the three cheese and the smoked salmon paninis. Absolutely delicious and super cheap($ 4 and $ 6)! The place is super clean and the paninis were hot and came out fast. We will definitely be back!

Just came here this morning. The bf was craving Egg Benedict’s and decided to go here. The place is cute and definitely going for that French brunch café vibe. However, they lack variety of options for a breakfast/brunch place. They don’t sell french toast and won’t even do scramble eggs. Having a 6 year old this leaves very little options for kids. We ordered the salmon egg Benedict’s and granola w/fruit, which were ok. The green juice was def good. Overall, they had good and quick service.

What a great find! Thanks again fellow Unilocalers! I had just finished getting my hair done, and wanted to get a satisfying breakfast before going to the SF Vintners Market. I saw, while on the 43, that Home Base was packed. So with the help of the mighty Unilocal app, I decided to try Petit Prince Café. The gentleman handling the transactions was very nice and attentive with the service. And as far as the food was concerned. yum! I had the vegetarian tartine that came with a side of potatoes and salad. The food was fresh and the portions were just right.

I ate here prior to visiting the WDFM in the Presidio. There was only one other customer in the restaurant and I found the place extremely downplayed. No music, no decorations, just tables with no setups. I ordered at the counter(eggs benedict with salami) and sat down. There was only the owner in the place. He took my order, cooked my order, and brought me my order. However, the food spoke for itself — perfect eggs, wonderful hollandaise, fantastic potatoes and side salad. The food — as well as the coffee — was perfect. Loved the experience and will return next time I visit my fave museum.

i love this little café. i had their holandaise dishes and their awesome Artic Salade … but to me the hi lite is their sweets… omg … today i had a soft cookie with caramelise apples and vanilla ice cream. i also had their eclairs with a delightful coffee cream… and i have to say the 2 guys behind the counter are so so so so nice. finally a true little café in the marina. thank you.

I have come here many times for lunch. The quality of the food is very good. The ingredients are fresh. This however means it is a little pricey for what you get. –Coffee, fresh and very good –The Pacific is yummy. Delicious bread. Fresh Salad –The Tuna sandwich which I forget the name of is good too. Note: The food is very french. I know that seems obvious, but I say it as a warning to those who want a turkey sandwich with lettuce or no mayo. This said the owners are very nice and willing to work with your requests.

I came into this little café around 2pm on a Monday after getting a mani/pedi at Sassi down the street, and it was TOTALLY empty. Something about dining all alone with only one person manning the counter felt a little strange to me, so I ordered my sandwich to go. I picked up the L’ami, a pastrami and avocado based sandwich(about 9 inches long and served on a French loaf) to go, and opened up my little lunch at home. It was well presented and tasted good enough, but the potato chips that came with the sandwich were incredibly hard and stale. Now, I consider myself something of a potato chip connoisseur(seriously, I have tried them all and they are my kryptonite), so this was very disappointing. The bread on the sandwich was also cut-your-mouth rough and tough to bite into, but I don’t know if this is how French sandwiches are supposed to be and I’m just being a big baby? Overall, not the most amazing sandwich I had. But it tasted great, the service was polite, and it cost me around $ 10 for the meal to go(no drinks) so I’m not too upset about it. I’d definitely come back again at least to try their other sandwiches or salads!

I’ve been to this café a few times now and I must say, it’s becoming one of my favorite places to go for brunch/lunch on the weekends. The place is super cute, the service is great(owner and chef are both extremely friendly), and the food is delicious! I’m also always impressed by the presentation of food. It’s nice to see a place that cares about the quality of their dishes and takes the time to add an extra touch. My favorites are the Dried Salami Benedict, the Le Royal Sandwich, and the Doctor’s Order(fresh juice). I have also tried the Pacific Sandwich, the Swimmer Sandwich, and the Vegetarian Tartine. All were great. As for cost, you get your money’s worth here. Prices are standard for SF but the portions of their sides are huge. Breakfast comes with potatoes and salad and sandwiches come with chips and salad.

During a few visits to San Francisco, I had the opportunity to check out this café and the food and drinks were amazing! My personal favorite is the Swimmer Sandwich. The décor was charming and tasteful. Could stay there all day. Overall a wonderful dining experience! Would recommend this place as a top choice for brunch with friends!

We had the Vegetarian Tartine and the Le Royal; they were delicious and so well presented! It took a while, as there was only one chef when we went in at noon, but it was certainly worth the wait. They were out of all juices but the Doctor’s Orders, so we have it a shot and were pleasantly surprised! I’m not a huge cucumber fan, but I loved the drink. Great food, nice décor. Highly recommended!

We visited Le Petit Prince Café today. We ordered the dry salami benedict and the Swimmer Sandwich, two juices, and two coffees. The price was $ 50. Yikes! The ingredients were of good quality, and we appreciate the attempt. However, the benedict toasts were cold – we weren’t sure if there were toasted but then sat around before being delivered or if they hadn’t been toasted. The salami flavor overpowered the whole dish. I was excited by the Swimmer but was left wanting when the biggest flavor was the herbed yogurt. The sandwich was quite spendy, and the amount of salmon that was on the sandwich did not warrant the price. Everyone was very friendly and I do hope that this place succeeds. Not sure I am likely to visit again…

Went in for brunch and it was amazing. Had the salmon and a juice and the presentation was great. I dont eat pork but there are a few items on the menu to accommodate for vegetarians/other dietary needs. Its a quiet place and was empty when we went but still nice. great staff.

Based on my experience this morning, its hard to understand the raving reviews. The food is OK, but not spectacular. The smoked salmon benedict had very little bernaise, and even that was watery. The eggs were cooked just right, so positive points there. The side salad was boring — basically lettuce with two small tomato slices on top. French press coffee was good, but why serve it in a paper cup with a lid? I’m not at Starbucks! The benedict and a coffee come to $ 17… which is way too much, considering I left still hungry. The place had no customers when I walked in at 9AM Saturday, and the interior is very sparse. I won’t be going back.

Thank you Unilocalers, for helping me find this place during our trip to San Fran! I was looking for breakfast places within walking distance of our hotel(Coventry Motor Inn) and lo and behold, this popped up just across the street. Literally across the street! And it got rave reviews, for good reason. The owners were super nice, very friendly and they seemed happy to serve us! They even came by after to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Their counter is somewhat low, so you can see the chef as he crafts your dishes; I rather enjoyed watching him work! The food was just outstanding. I had a prosciutto tartine, and it was so good. It had super thick pieces of prosciutto, like lunchmeat-style thickness. I’ve never had anything so delectable in my entire life. Prosciutto was meant to be cut this way. Even the salad that came along with it was carefully placed and plated to be beautiful. It was rather quiet on Friday morning, but I assume it’s because of how new this place is. Another great boutique café to visit if you’re on Lombard Street!

A friend from out of town was staying at the motel around the corner and they had recommended this cute little café. The décor itself is playful. If you’ve ever read The Little Prince, you’ll definitely feel like you’re in the story. From the wall décor to the painted tables, it was very welcoming! My friend had ordered their sandwich called The Pacific, while I had ordered their fresh juice called The Start-Up. It did not disappoint! You can tell it was fresh ingredients and not the syrup junk. My friend really enjoyed her sandwich as well. The salmon came out just right. Fish can be tricky sometimes since it can leave a weird after taste but not this sandwich. It came with a side salad with an awesome dressing. We were both eyeballing their desserts too… so we caved! We got the chocolate and lemon tart. YUM! I’ve had both tarts at different cafes in the city and they were always too sweet! These were perfect down to the nice buttery crust. The two chefs were also very friendly and inviting. They were attentive and always ended any answer with a warm smile. I would for sure recommend this to anyone! Thank you for the awesome food and service guys! Will be returning for sure to try the newer items on their menu.

We came here for brunch and they only have two benedicts, the dry salami and smoked salmon, so we got one of each and shared it. We both enjoyed it, eggs were cooked perfectly and it came with a side salad. We also got a french press coffee, the start up juice and this chef’s dessert which was amazing. It had caramelized apples, some bread, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream. It was like an apple pie in a cup! It’s pretty obvious it’s a new restaurant due to the lack of reviews and the walls are still pretty bare. I’d definitely come back to try some of their sandwiches. I’d also be interested to find out if there were getting their liquor license too. Nothing beats a nice mimosa with brunch! :)

I heard about this place through a friend when I visited San Francisco last week on a business trip. Having worked in the city for a year in 2010, I had the pleasure of visiting various sandwich shops in downtown. The design of the place is very neat and organized and has a semi-rustic kind of atmosphere. Nice place to be around during the fall and winter. I got the Pacific, which was the salmon and avocado sandwich. BOMB! Salmon was fresh and avocado tasted very ripe. One may say that the price may be expensive here for a sandwich, but the cheapest you’ll probably find is around $ 15 or $ 16 without tip if you’re eating in. This place offers the same thing and is even better for only $ 12! Definitely coming back here when I get the chance to visit SF again.

Was looking for some food and found Petit Prince the other day with a girlfriend. It was their Opening week so we decided to come by and check it out. Great atmosphere, seems rather sparse but they just opened. Also I kind of like how simple and easy going it looks, a lot of places have too much stuff. In any case: Pros: FOODISAWESOME!!! I got the Mister Ham and that is probably the best Cheese and Ham Sandwich I’ve ever eaten in my life. Comes with a delicious amount of ham and gourmet cheese but what really gets me is the extra layer of cheese that grilled on the OUTSIDE of the sandwich. Can you say yummmm!!! The mini e’claires are so soft and mouth water when you put them in your mouth that I cannot even full tell you how great it is. FRESHSQUEEZEDJUICES! How them, great flavors and fresh. Was able to try three of the drinks and my favorite was«The Start Up,» Mango Orange and Carrot drink. Everything is compostable here which is just a nice added plus. My favorite though is the FRESHPERSONALBREWCOFFEE. They use a French press to create your own individual coffee which was my favorite part of this place. Cons: This is a French place and these are French sized cups and I’m so used to Texas and American sized things… so maybe that’s why my friends are telling me to lose some weight. Hahaha! But I would like to have more of what they give just because of how great everything tastes. I’ll be sure to be coming back here more often for all their delicious stuff!

I live next door to this spot on Lombard, formerly home to Mr. Pickles and King Salame Sandwich Shop. Both of those places were solid, so I was pumped to meet the new owners of Petit Prince Café on the street one day. Their concept sounded like a nice change from the former businesses that had been in the space. Today, I went to check out the café on their grand opening. The space hadn’t been modified much, but the menu was more diverse. Not only do they have sandwiches, but they also have a few salads, juices, teas, French press coffees, and tasty French pastries. I tried the«Refresher» juice — cantaloupe, mango, mint — and a vanilla petits eclairs. Both were delicious. The owners are really nice guys, and one is actually French, so you’re getting authentic French goodness. I hope this place sticks around! P ies look pretty tasty, they come in strawberry & mango E clairs come in coffee, vanilla, and chocolate flavors T eacher Pleaser = fresh apple juice I nterior decoration is still a little sparse, but nice and clean T he sandwich selection is solid… 8 as of now
