Piper’s Shoe Parlor

So happy to have found this store while walking around that fun part of SF. Got the best shoes for a great price and Tyler was so sweet. Happy!

I come into Pipers every time I’m in the Bay Area. They have a great selection of shoes; the perfect place to find a funky statement shoe OR a beautifully made «goes with everything» staple shoe. Everyone who works there is always so friendly and helpful – if you’re in San Francisco, definitely stop at Pipers Shoe Parlor for some good finds!

This is the best shoe store on all of Haight street and probably San Francisco ! They have brands I never even knew I loved. Every single time I go without fail I walk out with a unique pair of shoes sold to me by one of the main friendly sales staff. Not only do I walk out with an awesome pair of shoes but the staff is really incredible, fun, cute and makes you really comfortable while you are there. They never try and force anything on you and when they tell you their opinion it’s always genuine. I love this store and I love their people and I will always go here to get my shoe fix because I can’t resist any of their unique brands! :)

This is the best shoe store on Haight! They have shoes you can’t find just anywhere. The best part, though, is the friendly staff. They were engaging, cool and super helpful. I highly recommend buying from these guys!

Great shoe selection. Poor customer satisfaction management. Called ahead saying I was from out of town and going to be a few days late on the rtn policy, was reassured it was not a problem and the fabulous Seth said he would leave a note letting his coworkers know I’d be in. I arrived was told I couldn’t get the same sale if I ordered something not in stock, but I could feel free to find something in store and still use the sale. Then after a lengthy search to find something in stock in my size I found a boot! Aaaaand was told that actually I couldn’t use my original sale and instead of honoring what she said in the first place and what I was told on the phone I had to purchase at my expense despite calling ahead and initial reassurance. When you make a mistake as a customer service rep it must be owned at your expense not at the customers. Bummer. Otherwise cool store! Just know you want to keep what you buy an you’ll be all set!

Piper’s is a fantastic shoe shop!
They recently changed ownership, and Kipling, the new owner, is very friendly and accommodating.
They have some really nice kicks on the shelves and the service is tops — I’d highly recommend checking them out.

Super excited the shop is under new ownership and will stay open!!! Opened back up May 2014. The new owner is super friendly and helpful. She is finding new exciting brands as well as committing to others designed and crafted locally, in the US or with profits going to good cause. They are adding a VEGAN selection and expanding the kids.

Unfortunately the Haight outlet has been shut down. They were neat place while it was though.

The guy at this shop is sooo friendly! I moved to Connecticut and couldn’t get this bag I saw there out of my head. I called the shop and described what I was looking for. The guy sent me half a dozen pictures of bags he thought I might like to get for my hubby to use as a diaper bag and he basically facilitated my shopping from across the country. Not to mention they have high quality, vogue products.
In short, I love this place, the people and the products. When I visit the west coast, I’ll always pay Piper’s a visit.

My Piper’s boots are my new favorite, and they even hooked me up with a Scotchgard to protect them from the rain.
I could have stayed and talked to the crew all afternoon! Cute shoes and amazing service. Heaven.

We stumbled upon this store while visiting the Haight for the first time. When we walked in it was 7:05 — they were closing the store (supposed to close at 7) but generously let us look around nonetheless. The shoe selection was pretty sweet — great brands, super cute stuff overall (for both men and women). Both salespeople were extremely sweet and helpful, moreso than I have experienced while shoe shopping in a while. After trying on a couple pairs, we didn’t end up buying anything. Regardless, the excellent customer service and super selection will have me coming back. I wish all (shoe) stores had such a pleasant atmosphere and fabulous customer service as Piper’s!

I really enjoy popping into this store when I’m in the Haight.
It’s so well curated and I love that that they have a deep appreciation for Pendleton. The staff are also very helpful and it’s evident that they care about the merchandise and their customers — just as much as the owners.
Though many of their items are quite pricey — they often host some great sales on shoes — and I just recently picked up a cozy pair of Emu slippers here for a very reasonable price.
Even if you’re not planning on buying something — stop in here. It’s full of good vibes and it makes for some inspiring window shopping.

Stop looking for another shoe store because seriously, not only do these guys have the dopest kicks, they are also the coolest motherfuckers I have ever met. This review is basically a huge shout-​out to Seth, the assistant manager who blew my mind with his customer service.
I bought a pair of kickass Seychelles boots from here about a month ago. So kickass, I had random people stopping me in the street and the store I work at constantly. Asking me where I got my shoes and telling me how fashionable I looked and I would end up raving about this store for about 15 minutes, watching the curious stranger’s eyes glisten as if they were a child hearing about Santa Claus for the first time.
Needless to say, when one of my boots’ soles started falling off a month later I was absolutely devastated. I was hesitant to approach Piper’s for help, but, being that this boot was $ 120 (and so fucking sexy), I decided I might as well give it a shot being that I live so close anyways.
I walk in and I see Seth, the assistant manager (WHO IS SO FUCKING COOL AND NICE AND HELPFUL). I sing him the sad song of my people and prepare to hear him say there’s nothing they can do.
BUT NO. Not only does he offer to contact local repair shops. He also offers that if they can’t fix my shoe, he would give me a discount on ANY pair of shoes in the store. And if that wasn’t good enough he fucking contacts Seychelles himself.
And guess what? I am about to get a brand new pair of Seychelles boots.
Seriously, this is customer service at its finest. I didn’t have to ask Seth anything. He is a magnificent Asst. Manager and went above and beyond my wildest dreams. Not only that, he is super fun to chat with. The atmosphere here is so laid back that I have no qualms going here alone because I know the staff will let me know if I look like a total dumbass in a pair of shoes or not.
And if their awesome staff doesn’t convince you, just go for their magnificent collection. The store is small but packs a powerful punch in gorgeous styles from shoes like creepers to gorgeous platforms. If you have no fashion sense in shoes (like me) go here and BOOM! You’ll have bitches tripping over each other trying to reach you and ask where you got your shoes.

Truth be told, I have always loved the name Piper. Kind of want Piper to be my name… or name my daughter Piper, or a pet, or whatever. But, I digress…
Okay, the Haight has a lot of shoe stores, this we know. BUT when Piper’s opened up, I went in (for obvious name-​related reasons) and was pleasantly surprised to find such a great store. It’s full of charm and personality, and run by a brother and sister, and as a longtime Upper Haight resident, we love keeping it small and in the family-​hooray for another true local business! The shoes are on trend and affordable and the staff is really helpful, especially Justin and his sister (I’m sorry your name is escaping me) who obviously have put their all into the business.
In addition to being great, they hosted my friend Jason’s book reading there a while back. I thought it was a generous gesture as they had deals on their shoes, accessories and bags and were giving away great cocktails as well. For a new, small business, running sales is usually not a priority. Nor is welcoming in a local author for a reading. it’s usually more about paying the rent instead of paying it forward. But not with these folks… they are genuine and true Haight Street proprietors. Please check them out!

Piper’s is a gem of a shoe store in the middle of Haight-​Ashbury. It’s got the most impeccable collection of quality leather shoes, and I found my new love-​of-​my-​life boots here. In fact, the girl working here was wearing them and I found myself eye f*cking the heck out of her boots, and had to have them.
What I love about this store is that they carry brands not found often in many shoe stores, like Miista. Every store nowadays seems to carry Jeffrey Campbells and the like, but it’s nice to stumble upon a store that curates unique styles and little-​known brands.
The moment you walk in, you get the sense that the owner really knows shoes/​bags/​jewelry – what sells and what would be an amazing addition to your closet. 5 stars in my book.

i walked in looking for a new bag for my girlfriends birthday… i had heard they had some QUALITY local bags here and i was looking for something a little different then Chrome or Timbuk2. (though they do have Chrome bags)
i was promptly greeted and talked with the sales associate, Adam. the guy definitely knows his stuff. not only does he know it, but he gets excited about it because he believes in the product (s) he sells, and you get the sense that he’s just a really nice guy.
he helped me select a Mission Workshop waxed Canvas Sanction bag.
Adam showed me the different styles: literally took them out and compared them while taking me through the various accoutrements, pockets, water resistant stuff, and this crazy cool and quick closure system for the flaps… that and there’s a lifetime guarantee. it wasn’t cheap by any means… but that thing will last. and last well.

i also ended up picking up a totally affordable pair of Zig Zag sneaks for like $ 20 bucks or so.

i eventually had to stop looking at their amazing boot selection… because i would have walked out with those too. remember when shoes were hand made by cobblers and stuff? they sell shoes like that. (but also affordable canvas shoes) when i do need some new boots, i’ll go back to Piper’s…for Selection, Quality, and absolutely AMAZING service.
additionally, i think i remember the guy telling me that the owner has an online women’s vintage clothing store. also, called piper’s? i can’t remember but will definitely have to check it out.
Go to Piper’s for a great personal shopping experience and buy me something when you go…

I love Piper’s Shoe Parlor! Admittedly, I know and adore the owners, but I would still love this place even if I had no connection to it. Well curated, great shoes with a good price range, and I love that they have more than just shoes. Bought a beautiful necklace made by a local jeweler tonight and an amazing sun hat. Do yourself a favor and stop by here next time you’re on Haight street. Lots of space and thoughtful pieces that you won’t see everywhere else on Haight street.

Really great looking store with a killer selection of shoes. The mens stuff is on point and my girl found some stuff she liked a lot!
