Food is going downhill. Chicken wings are scrawny and the strips were all bread and little chicken. Not ordering from here again.

Chicken Soup and Bone Broth were spectacular! Thank You! It hit the spot! Much needed! My son enjoyed his chicken sandwich a lot too!

I wanted to like you, flop chicken, but ya burned me, And I can’t let it go! I liked your Kale salad, pretty damn good… But 11 bucks?! Then I got a fried chicken sandwich at over 10 bucks (which I would pay if you were killin it…) But it was all Cole slaw, WAY overdressed, and THETINIESTPIECEOFCHICKEN I HAVEEVERSEEN! Wtf?! Lost my biz… Good luck, cluckers

Prop C is a solid go to spot for me when I want a quick meal with no hassle. I can go healthy with a kale salad and tofu or really get down with some fried chicken and all the fixings — the menu is super versatile and has a lot to offer. The easiest and best priced option around.

Went there Jan. 2016 for a quick snack. Ordered wings and asked how many pieces and even drew a pic of a whole wing. This is a problem in every restaurant that serves them. Is it 5 half wings or 5 whole wings? Nobody can ever seem to answer this amazingly basic question. Of course I expected 5 wings but got 2.5. But to their credit they stepped up and brought me more. The were delish. Well worth the wait. If you have a bit of extra cash for the good stuff, this place is a solid option for chicken.

The rotisserie chicken kale saiad was a great look for a pre-NYE meal! It was tasty and filling, and came out pretty quickly. Good value and healthy, enviro-conscious ingredients made for overall satisfying pregame nosh.

I really don’t know how to feel about this place, I walked in and I was really caught off guard at the fact that they served beer, I asked the guy in the front what he would recommend since it was my first time there and he said the fried chicken sandwich, great sign me up, I got one of those and a Miller high life«the champagne of beers»(hate that beer but for $ 3 I couldn’t pass up on it). I got my chicken sandwich(which was a little over $ 10) and it was so tiny which really upset me, other than that the chicken itself was fried properly and I give this place plus points for having honey. I left this place still hungry and confused as to what this place is, it’s not a gastropub but yet they have beer options also not a fast-food restaurant, it’s not fancy dining by any means, wtf is it? I will probably not come back due to the fact that I just don’t see value here.

This place was delicious! Chicken is such a common thing to eat when you make it stand out from the rest of the places you’ve had it at you know it’s got to be good. Love the fresh and healthy background of all their foods as well. Chicken is organic, free range, AND hang chilled. Everything was so good we ate more than we should have. Couldn’t help it!

The fried chicken was good, but not great. On the plus side the outside was crispy and the inside was juicy. On the minus side it didn’t have that much flavor on its own. The fries were good. I was surprised that I liked the sage. Biscuit was okay. Nothing to write home about. The slaw was a waste of space. No flavor. Not spicy as advertised. The price was expensive. Entrée plus fries plus tip and no drink 20 bucks. Yikes. That’s what I call techie lunch prices.

This place is paleo heaven, whether you wanna stay strict(flipped chicken with kale salad, herb dressing and no cheese) or cheat a little(hello gluten free fried chicken!). And don’t miss the bone broth! So tasty, warming and gut-healing. Mm.

Just returned home from my 3rd visit to PC in 2 days — okay I love kale and thus I’m a sucker for the flipped chicken kale salad; you really can’t go wrong it. Healthier choice & damn good. This evening oddly I waited 20 minutes for my order before watching 4 people who ordered well after me receive their orders. When my order came I immediately asked why my order was passed over & pretty immediately the manager apologized & gave me my money back. Class act. I was already a fan, now I have hella love for PC.

I understand why there’s some mixed reviews for this place. It’s good, but there are some things that just hold it back from being great Fried chicken: white meat gives you two pieces. really juicy but the breading was a bit much. It was like eating fried breading with some chicken underneath. Flipped chicken(rotisserie): white meat gives you one piece and a great sauce for the chicken. Biscuits are good but mine was undercooked and a little mushy/liquidy inside. Fries. FRIES. GETTHEFRIES. YES. I don’t even love fries that much but they do something magical. Just the fries. Maybe a little ketchup. They give you this fancy aioli thing which is good but you don’t need it. GETTHEFRIES.(I got it because I read another review that said the fries were amazing) Brussel sprouts: skip it. boring and oily. Bone broth: they ran out so if you want it, call ahead just in case. Seems like it might be interesting to try. Eat in: order at the counter and they give you a number for you to go and sit at a table. Credit cards: uses a Revel POS system so takes all major cards I think(used an Amex). Location: on Market St between Octavia and Gough — as in, tough spot. Don’t try to drive and figure this one out. In fact it’s even a tough Über spot. It can feel eerily quiet because of it’s location too but seems to be ok and the people are friendly.

Surprisingly delicious fried chicken on a fresh green salad… I happened to walk by at noon and thought it would be a quick option(it was). They have options for free range fried, rotisserie or non-chicken(tofu), and as sandwich, salad or meal. I’ll vouch for the fried chicken on a salad(which I thought was weird but it worked). Citrusy. Just the right size for lunch, though small if I was really hungry. A little pricey, $ 12 ish on menu ~ $ 14 w tax and tip

3.5 stars, mainly for the food. I came here on a Friday night when it was completely empty, which I thought was strange. The staff here is super friendly, suggesting menu items and checking to make sure our food was satisfactory even though this is not intended to be a sit-down restaurant. Now for the food. I’m in love with their buffalo wings. The buffalo sauce is perfectly spicy, and they hardly had any fat. I would come back to Proposition Chicken JUST for those. 5 stars! Everything else I tried was kind of a flop, though… even the blue cheese mousse that came with the buffalo wings was watery and tasteless. My friend got the flipped sandwich, which was also unimpressive. But maybe that was because my mouth was burning from the buffalo wings. We also decided to try some of the bone broth, which had its own sign to advertise all its health benefits. How could we say no? The bone broth went down like a cup of hot oil but I suppose I felt a little less under the weather by the next day. It was interesting. Anyways, I had only seen the Proposition Chicken food trucks around the city but never this brick and mortar store. Good to know there’s a place where my rare chicken cravings can be satisfied!

I was so excited to try this place, but the result was just… eh. Definitely not worth the price for a fried chicken entrée! — The fried chicken: was pretty non-descript in terms of flavor, and one of the pieces was still a little pink inside! #SCARY — The biscuit: was delicious. I would order just that, maybe. — The coleslaw: was decent. No complaints. Overall: a small, just okay plate for a lot more money than it’s worth. Willing to try other stuff, but will probably not go fried again. Sad!

This is the only plate I tried so far but I must say it’s really satisfying! The chicken is so tender and juicy. I like how they ask you whether you want white meat or brown. Everything they make has a different taste to it, which is a good thing. The biscuit tastes like it’s been soaked with some type of honey or syrup so it taste SOOOO good. Two thumbs up! Oh yea, the staff is really nice too! My plate was $ 13, kinda pricey but definitely a good plate.

Having a hard time deciding what to eat for lunch? If you’re nearby, pop in for a really quick and easy meal! Sometimes, when I’m stressed out from work and I don’t want to use my brain to decide on what to eat, I just come here and the only decision I need to make is if I want my chicken fried or flipped, on a sandwich or a salad. I really like places with simple menus like this, which means they’ve pretty much perfected the one thing they make, CHICKEN!!! I love that they use free-range, air-chilled chicken that has zero preservatives, no antibiotics and raised without added hormones. You can really taste the difference because the meat is juicy, smooth, and tender. I opted for the flipped chicken(slow roasted rotisserie style with lemon, garlic, Italian parsley marinade) on a sandwich that comes with spicy slaw, mayo and sage potato chips for $ 10.75. A little bit on the pricey side but worth it because the food is fresh and the chicken is juicy, flavorful, and delicious! They also have fried chicken, kale salad, biscuits, wings, chicken strips, brussels sprouts, chicken soup, and potato wedges! Vegetarian? No problem! They have a crispy bbq tofu option. I’ll be back!

I’m kind of in love with this place. Minus one star for the pricing, but everything else is pretty perfect. I live in Laguna & Waller, literally 2 blocks from this place. My roommate and I will mosey on over here after a long day at work. There have been times when we look at each other and both simultaneously say«Prop-chick?!»(our slang for Proposition Chicken). Yes, we’re «that type» who invents ridiculous acronyms. Okay, but– $ 18 for a chicken sandwich, fries and a sprite? Yikes! I mean. I bought it, and loved it, but really?

Interior is super hip and spacious. Got the fried chicken entrée and substituted fries for the coleslaw for $ 1 more. The workers were friendly and patient. The fried chicken was delicious however I don’t think it is worth the price. Biscuit was soft and tasty. A cool hip spot to check out but the pricing is a major downfall.

A while back, we went to Proposition Chicken on a Saturday night, as we were too hungry and impatient to wait 60+ minutes for dinner at Orenchi Beyond. It looked like a doozy as we entered the near-empty restaurant with fire engine-red bar stools and chairs and a gigantic cock outlined in neon red light. The staff was very friendly and laid out the already-straightforward menu to us. First, you choose your meat: fried chicken, flipped(rotisserie-style) chicken, or fake(tofu). Then you choose you style: sandwich, salad, or entrée with a biscuit and homemade slaw. In addition, you have the option of wings, fries, soup, and brussels sprouts on the side. I opted for the flipped chicken sandwich, and after a few bites, I realized the mistake I had made in trying to be «healthier». The chicken meat was very dry and unmemorable, and the bread roll was borderline stale. However, the side of sage potato chips was good. The hand-cut fries with malted mayo was also disappointing; the fries were very soggy, limp, and too oily. The malted mayo, however, was delicious. Despite the witty name and fitting ambiance to Proposition Chicken, I’m not eager to return anytime soon for the rotisserie chicken. But the fried chicken is another story, as everything’s so much tastier fried.
