The owner here is a stingy bitch. Came here twice with the homies and both times she didnt give us change back even if we asked. our drinks were $ 21 and we gave a 50. this bitch simply laughed and smiled. I asked her for the change back but she purposely acted busy when there was only 1 other person at the bar asking for peanuts.

They have 2 really big screens where they play major games plus around 6 smaller TVs for other games by the bar. Drinks are pretty good too($ 5 for good beers like Big Daddy and Fort Point and $ 8 for a Gucci Shooter, which was great!). The crowd was also friendly and I managed to make around 10 friends, just talking to strangers, that night. I would definitely come back. :)

Great place to watch champions league soccer or any sport. 8+ TVs, 2 of which are large projected screens. Close to many restaurants. They let you bring your own food in. $ 10 minimum. ATM around the corner. Pool table in the back.

I’ve been here a few times. A cool bar with one pool table, a lot of tv’s and is very small. Not really good for big groups, unless you’re lucky enough to get the back where the pool table is at.

Happy hour 24⁄7. Cheap drinks. Definitely a bar… bar atmosphere, bar snacks, etc. Do not come here hungry. I do not even think they have a kitchen. Everything is made at the bar and there is not a drink menu. So, you must know what you want when you come. It is a great place to stop in, grab a drink, watch the game, and leave. We stopped to watched the Seahawks blow out the 49ers(ha ha ha). Really enjoyed the low key environment.

A good bar for happy hour in the financial district. It’s always good value and is a bright and cheery kinda place. It’s a no nonsense kinda American bar with no fancy décor. Good for sports on TV– they also have a pool table and darts. To keep you going you can have a corn dog from the bar– not the freshest or healthiest option but it might save a bit of the hangover. Try this for a happy hour and get the window seat if possible!

Steff’s is a lifestyle. At one point in life, my time split was: 70% office | 30% steffs | 30% home. I love this place.

Great neighbourhood feel for the financial district — roomy not too loud. Not crazy about the big daddy IPA but $ 3 hotdog will make up for that

First thing you see when you walk towards Steff’s is a sign that says«Happy hour 24⁄7!» Heck yes! You can’t beat $ 3.50 beers or $ 7 Jameson shots in the FiDi or SOMA area! The bar is kind of small, so it will get crowded during big game days.(It always seems crowded when the Giants are playing.) They have a pool table room in the back, but no seats! Service is fast, even when there are a million people at the bar waiting to order. These bartenders really know what they’re doing! The women’s bathroom is definitely something special. There’s only one«stall,» but instead of a door, it’s a cloth covering. Intrigued? Go ch-ch-check it out!

Bar is cool, basically your average sports bar but there is one particular bartender here that I can’t stand; She is an older Asian lady. Last time I was here she asked my boy for extra tips and the second time I was here she did not even give me my change back. Just assumed that I wanted to tip her and took my change when I didn’t want to give her any tip for her shity service. I am sorry but you can just assume everyone wants to or had to top you, a tip is earned and this lady has not earned a tip either of the time I was here. I will never be coming back because of her and it’s a shame because it a decent bar.

For me it’s a good pre and post Giants game bar. For others it seems to be a good post work bar.

I stand corrected. This is a great place, and as The City and this part of town evolves, I hope Steff’s stays in the mix. If you want to watch sports in this neighborhood, this is a nice and accessible spot. It’s not pretentious, and this is an area where most bars/restaurants cater to a fairly well-incomed crowd. The patrons clearly have meaningful SF jobs, if they’re local, but there are also several visitors. It’s also right on the corridor down 2nd Street to get from BART to AT&T Park. So, get a beer, play some pool, eat some popcorn and use the bathroom. Then go to the game. The bartenders are great. And, the more I explore, the more I realize it. The bar is in the vicinity of a lot of businesses, so it’s a great spot to be if your buddies work/also work somewhere close and want to catch some games. Like I said — the FiDi/SoMa isn’t always chill. This place is comfortable, but full of good people. And, it’s super accessible to public transit.

I’ve been coming here for a few years now. It’s a great place to catch the game(s) and happy hour. The drinks aren’t fancy(don’t expect any artisanal sh*t here). Drinks are generally strong, though it depends on which bartender you get. I’m pretty sure it’s Asian owned, and as an Asian girl, I can tell you I regularly receive a weaker pour than the guys do sometimes(from female Asian bartenders)… They’ve raised their prices. It’s $ 7.25 for a Jamie Ginger now, and $ 4.25 I’ve heard for an IPA. Not sure what’s up with the pocket change. Free popcorn(woot woot), and microwave corn dogs hit the spot when you’re buzzed. Overall, solid sports bar that I’ve been frequenting for years, and for years to come, most likely.

It’s a sports bar. You’ll probably stumble in here at some point if you’re walking around Soma. Personally, I enjoy not-so-crowded pubs, although this is probably just symptomatic of post-Giants celebration, a vacuum of space that, held long enough, will be followed by a rush of activity and energy as we feel the need to fatigue ourselves once more, anxious at having our basic needs satisfied, with no clear container to put our smudge of excess energy — not so much that we can channel it into self-actualization, not so little we can save it for a rainy day. Caught in between these periods of everlasting ebb and flow, one sits and contemplates what it means… To be in a sports bar… In a booming city… That is slowly losing its geographic diversity… And yet, you can’t escape into it, can’t lose yourself in it, for the consciousness always finds a way to intellectualize, cut, and remove oneself from the situation… So that even between drinks, laughter, and noise, none of which are significant enough to remember in their own right, you have only the unsettling reminder that you will, at some point, either write these fleeting thoughts in a Unilocal review, or last not long enough to tell the–

Steff’s is not fancy. They don’t make specialty cocktails. Their beer on tap selection is limited to only standard popular brands. Heck you can’t even get food that can’t microwaved! But for all the things that Steff’s isn’t, one thing it is is a great Sports Bar. Plenty of TVs and Projectors line the walls. A pool table in the back and free popcorn round out the offerings. The service here is quick and friendly. You can get a hot dog/corn dog or snack on chips if you are hungry. The best thing here are drink prices. Starting at $ 6 dollar shots, you really can’t beat that in SOMA/Fi-Di. It can get crowded but the crowd does make it fun on game nights!

I came in a a Friday night and had a pretty great time! I don’t about all of the negative nancy’s, but the music was at an appropriate volume and the bartenders were both really nice, given it wasn’t really a crowded night. The people that were there were pretty fun, although there was a benefit event across the street that they may have been coming from. They have lots of TVs, a dart board, and a pool table that costs $ 1 in quarters. I would assume the darts are free, but then again, probably not. Well drinks were $ 5.50 and shots were $ 4.50, but I’m not sure if that was their happy hour deal or not. Overall, I had a great experience and enjoyed the atmosphere here. It’s certainly your traditional dive bar, but nothing to complain about.

Needed a bar after midterms. TOOO few bars are open at noon on saturdays. Actually surprising. This one was open. served my purposes. Prices seemed ok and they did have very very light food available. I didn’t eat but the prices seemed totally fair. The bartender was really friendly and chatty since we were basically her only customers and she handled our big group really well.

TV’s run the entire span behind the bar area with two gigantic screens on each end on the wall so no matter where you sit you should have a great view of whatever game you want to watch. The variety of beers on draft are solid and they have a decent happy hour deal that runs all day but the options were not for me. They also have a pool table in the back area near the restroom if you want something to do while watching the game. Overall Thoughts A no frills bar great for catching the game

Great staff! I think I rarely speak about how good a staff is because they so often disappoint me. I like Steff’s because Steff actually works there and is frequently behind the bar, not micro-managing, but HELPING and taking drink orders. I love when a business owner does this, it shows me that they started the business, yes to make money, but also because they like to interact with the people who pay their bills. Plenty of beers on tap, cheap mixed drinks, $ 5 Fernet, TVs galore, a pool table, and a popcorn machine. It’s very central so you can make your way around the local Fi Di happy hour spots easily. The crowd is mostly folks getting off work, oh, and there’s a juke box. So yea, all in all, Steff’s is a cool place.
