The tako was very good and the other nigiri tasted soft and fresh.

Just had our dinner here before symphony. Fast and friendly service. Food tasted delicious! Very fresh! California roll melted in my mouth. The avocade was perfectly green. Good selection of beers. Also this is a good spot to watch a game-they have a huge TV on the wall.

It’s good quality sushi, and a nice space(especially after the remodel). Only thing keeping it at 4 stars and not 5 is the price, which is slightly above average for sushi that is only«good»(it’s not quite«excellent»)

This is my go to sushi place in the neighborhood. Sushi rolls are always well executed. Staff is very friendly and attentive. My favorite is the«to heaven» roll. A little sweet, a little spicy. Miso soup is tasty too as is the edamame. I get take out fairly often after work, but also enjoy dining in.

Came here the weekend before last. It was nearby, we wanted sushi and it was the only place we could accommodate a 8 person reservation last minute on a Saturday evening. It seemed nice upon arriving. We were sat right away. We ordered relatively quickly. But as we were ordering we saw there were going to be problems. We all ordered sake and beer and half of the table ordered water. Then we just asked for water for the whole table. She looked at the other half of the table and said they need to ask for their own water.(I totally get it, we are in a drought) As the other 4 people looked at her they all one by one asked her for water, please. It was just a very awkward and weird interaction. Then she left and was no where to be seen for 15 minutes. She never even returned with the water, that we all asked for, I might add. All of the drinks finally came out and then the food. The rolls looked good and mine weren’t amazing but I wouldn’t say they were awful either. The Nigiri on the other hand… I ordered uni and looking at it, I thought maybe I was being picky but it was discolored. One piece more than the other. I ate one and it really was not good. It was really, really obvious that it was old. I was offended that they even served it to me honestly, that is how bad it was. I should have trusted my gut and returned it right away. After we got our bill and it was paid I couldn’t take it anymore and I spoke up. She took the plate back and refunded our tab for one of the two nigiri pieces. LOL, really? I know I should have sent them both back. But you should not have served it in the first place! I will not be returning. If I want sushi, I will stick to the greats, there are too many amazing places out there to mess around with crap sushi and shoddy service.

Really great sushi. The sashimi is great hence the nigiri since fish is super fresh. Bento dinner boxes are good. Salad is ok, but the rest usually makes it better.

I have been here twice in a group of 4 people. First time the service was excruciatingly slow despite not even ordering the AYCE. My friend’s 2 items came more expensive than what he ordered and they told him that they forgot to revise the prices. My friend looked at them like they were missing a few brain cells until they charged him the listed prices. The second visit we all got AYCE and the service was very slow. Don’t expect anyone to refill your water or check on your tea pot unless you tell them, sometimes more than once. The food was ok. They messed up our orders, by giving me an order that another person at our party ordered. KOME in Daly City blows this place out of the water and it’s significantly cheaper, especially during lunch. They have nearly a dozen rules for AYCE. If I remember most people in the party must order AYCE option to get it.

Not a bad place at all! They place is nicely renovated and the pricing isn’t bad. I was scared their sashimi wasn’t going to be fresh but this place is great! I got a nigiri combo for 16 and an udon bowl(comes with tempura) for 11. Everything is nicely plated. Food was good. Service was great. Sit at the bar! Try the Ama ebi. They fry the head like most places but it’s just so fresh and tasty. They have almost the same thing for lunch as dinner but prices are higher. Definitely encourage everyone to come during the lunch hours instead.

Came in to get a couple of simple maki rolls. Asked the server to add avocado in the rolls and she said it was fine. When they brought the rolls out, it was completely not what we had ordered. Wrong order, bad service.

This place has DELICIOUS food! BUT incredibly small portions on the lunch bento box. When I received my salmon bento box that I was charged additional money for the lone piece of salmon was TINY, it was literally 3in long. When I called to voice my concern to the manager the initial host on the phone lied and said there was no manager on duty, when I probed further she put Scott on the ph who then told me the TINY piece of salmon has been being served over ten yrs and if I wanted more I could order more. He then said he didn’t know how to help me, if I wanted to come all the way back I could and he’d refund me my $. Bad business practice puts a horrible damper on this excellent tasting food.

I can’t attest to the experience of eating in here, but I’d definitely recommend against getting delivery. We ordered through Eat24 around 7:50pm on a Wednesday night(not exactly prime time), and the food didn’t get to us until 9:30. When it came, it was cold and pretty mediocre. Eat24 had given an estimate of 45 – 60 minutes, and in my experience their estimates tend to be conservative with the food often coming before that. I was pretty disappointed that it took twice as long as estimated. I tried to call after about 70 minutes to check on the order, and their automated phone system is a nightmare — it took almost 10 minutes to even get through to a person(after trying literally every option of number to press, most of which either did nothing or led to the same«leave your name and phone number and we’ll get back to you within 24 hours»…24 hours??). When we finally got through, they said that it was on the way and should be here soon, since the delivery guy had left a while ago. For reference, we live less than a mile away from the restaurant. When it finally came, it turned out to not be worth the wait. Or maybe it had just suffered because of the wait. The gyoza was so cold it felt like it had been refrigerated, the tempura was cold and soggy, and the sushi wasn’t really good enough to make up for all of that. Maybe the food is delicious when you go there in person — and from the other reviews, it sounds like it is – so if you’re going to try this place, go in rather than getting delivery.

The service was a little dim at this place, but the food sure made up for that. We ordered a bit of everything, from hand rolls, cut rolls, sashimi, edamame and miso soup. Everything tasted fresh and things that needed to be crisp were just as ordered! Highly recommend this place for a quick sushi stop. The décor inside also looks recently renovated. Everything inside is very clean!

Delicious hand rolls, I had the spicy tuna as an appetizer which was very large and delicious. My cousin and I came for dinner, I ordered the chicken Katsu which was good. I’m not a fan of dark meat and the cutlet did have several pieces. I ate half my meal which was satisfying despite the dark meat.

Stopped by for lunch about a month ago, we got in just before they stopped serving lunch. We were craving sushi and just happened to see an open parking spot right in front so it was meant to be. The spicy tuna roll was delish… that is always my go-to standard to order at sushi and this one was right on top of my best-list. Service was good and sushi came out quickly(probably because they wanted to get us out of there so they could close and prepare for dinner service). It does look like it was recently remodeled so everything was very pretty an clean(even the bathroom).

We had to walk out which is a shame since it looks like a pretty good sushi place. I went to grab phillz and my husband grabbed a seat and quickly ordered since we had to be at a party in pac heights. Ordered two waters, miso, and a few rolls. 20 minutes later we still had nothing in front of us. Had to flag down a waitress and ask for 2 waters and miso. Another 10 minutes go by and had to flag someone again. They finally came but with no spoons. A completely different waiter had to bring us spoons 5 minutes later. Wtf. What really started to bug me was people getting food around us that sat down way after us. We waited 45 minutes and our food never came. We ended up just having to walk out. Which I have never done. Waitresses seemed really confused and couldn’t keep up. Horrible horrible service.

Delicious sashimi. I came here on a whim as I was passing through the neighborhood(with what I admit to be not the greatest of expectations,) but nevertheless stopped in to see what they had to offer. What I was delivered was a sushi«boat»(and by boat, I mean a large plateful of 30 pieces of sashimi) — with each piece more delectable than the previous. There was a specific piece of sashimi on this boat that was unidentifiable(the waitresses couldn’t identify it either), but it was absolute melt-in-your-mouth heaven. Complimentary salad, miso soup, edamame, and hamachi kama(yellowtail collarbone) complemented the meal very nicely. These were unexpected surprises that were not indicated on the menu. I’m not an SF local, so I can’t say that I’ll be scoping out this place on a regular basis, however; I would recommend this place to friends and acquaintances who frequent the area, and I would definitely return the next time I visit the city.

Came here while walking along van ness. Shared the sushi boat with the SO and was not disappointed. Sushi boat had around 30 pieces and a cooked yellowtail collar for a bonus! Fishes were salmon, tuna, albacore, yellowtail, octopus, and fatty tuna. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. All in all a pleasant experience.

I was wondering when they were going to open, but when they opened a few days ago I was suprised. The new remodleing looks really nice. The lights are dimmed with black light at the bar, and parts of the store has wood to make it look modern. They kept the big TV which I loved to go when there was a big sport event. Only the bar interior got new and the other tables and seats were the same but overall the new restaurant vibe is really nice. The menu was also the same but when I asked they told me that they were going to change it soon. I’m lookin forward to coming again when they get a new menu.
