Cute little shop I’ll give it that. Handcrafted and unique items. However… stopped in and browsed… totally ignored by 2 young ladies who were working there… I was not able to engage the lady in the shop in conversation… no «good morning» or «thanks for coming in»…so altho there were some interesting items to be sure, I’ll spend my money elsewhere. A little acknowledgement and friendliness goes a long way with me and it certainly varies from shop to shop.

I recently rediscovered this store and love stopping by on weekends. The merchandising has evolved over the year and lately I have been having a lot of fun with their jewelry and really enjoy the assortment of cards and giftables. I like how the owner, Katie, plays around with the space creating new displays and regularly introducing newness to the store. Just this past weekend she featured a trunk show that showcased local jeweler, Blume Studio. The customer service is also great. I had recently purchased a pair of earrings that broke. I emailed Katie to see if I could exchange them for a new pair and she immediately responded to let me know it would be no problem. When I stopped by the store to make the exchange, they were already expecting me! Looking forward to stopping in again soon :)

I’ve been occasionally shopping at Whistle for over a year and I’ve always found very cool gifts. Every time I walk to Hollow for coffee, I stop by to check out what’s new at Whistle. It has been closed a few times in the past but I remember I also got a notification from the owner that she was traveling. My both girls love every item I brought for them from Whistle.

I saw Whistle when I was walking down Irving, and was immediately taken by how quaint the shop was. The owner’s friendly dog greeted me with a wag and a smile. As I was looking around, the cute trinkets all resembled my taste in home décor. A certain painting caught my eye, but I decided not to get it because it was pretty expensive. On my next visit, I saw that nobody had bought the painting, and immediately jumped for it(of course, there was a sale, so I got a good price). And now, the painting is hanging on my wall, and I can’t wait to go to Whistle again.

Such a cute store! Highly curated and if you’re looking for a unique gift, card, or quirky jewelry for someone then this is the spot you should visit. This place seriously tested my self-control because I’m going through a no new notebook until you use up the ones you’ve already have phase. With the Curiosity Shoppe closed, I now know that I can stop here instead of some great gifts.

I have tried to visit this store a couple of times now and have not had any luck. When I drove all the way there, I saw a note in the window saying they were closed for some reason or another. If you are only open for 2 partial days a week, you cant expect to close for personal reasons and keep your customers. As you can see, the previous reviews were drafted by the owners… I have tried to stop by a couple times since my last review to no avail. Again… Closed during business hours. I tried to peek in today and they had a note on the window citing a «MASSIVE» flood which caused them to close for the month yet the store appeared to be in pristine condition. If the store is massively flooded, why does it appear to be in perfect order. I’ve tried to stop in and give them my business 4 times now and every time they have had their doors closed for my business. That is the last straw…

Whistle is a cozy little boutique tucked away on the quiet corner of Irving and 16th avenue in the inner sunset where you’ll find a well curated collection of tasteful gifts and home accessories from around the world. You’re almost certain to find a unique gift for friends and family among the studio thrown ceramics, hand woven scarves or the colored glassware all of which are reasonably priced. Unlike plenty of other pretentious stores in the city, the owner Katie is super laid back and makes you feel welcome even if you’re just browsing. Whistle is a must go to fun store in the neighborhood !

I popped by Whistle on their opening weekend and oh, what a gem! A unique and eye-catching assortment of worldly décor, jewelry, and other gift items had me drooling. Even though I only picked up a pair of bracelets, I’ll definitely be back for the Moroccan chair. I appreciate local shops with such a variety of items for great prices. If you’re looking for a gift for yourself, your love, or anyone else, I bet you can find it here. Support small business!

An adorable little shop with a bunch of pretty things — accessories for wearing or using in the home. There was an array of pottery, lovely carafes and vases, and some beautiful moroccan teapots and tea glasses that I plan to buy for myself next time I need a treat. There are some beautiful scarves, and other things that would make nice gifts for a deserving friend or house warming party. I also like that there were some affordable trinkets — a couple of which I picked up for myself — like basket woven bracelets and fun rings that look like tiger profiles. Browsing here was fun!
