I’ve never been here before but almost every single night I can hear horrible Chinese karaōke from my apartment. From reading the very old reviews here, this place should close down. If I can hear it that means everyone in my building and in surrounding buildings can hear and it is always the same man singing the same songs everytime. Please just let us sleep in peace!!! It is 130 am on a SUNDAY night… please sound proof your building if you’re going to have karaōke!

I used to come here years ago and it was just your regular divey chinese bar: food, drinks, drunk people singing karaōke, fun dice games and a loud, fun environment. This was 2006, 2007. Fast forward to 2013. I came back thinking it was the same, but instead, it’s now a hostess bar, meaning you pay girls to hang out with you. The karaōke stage is still there but it doesn’t seem as popular. The long wooden tables have been replaced by booths with very high walls(for privacy). If you understand what a hostess bar is and if that’s what you’re looking for… then it seems like you’d have a good time. If you are just coming to have a drink and relax(like I was), then go somewhere else.

Came here and knew it was a hostess bar. I would say i had a good time with these lovely girls. Since im an american born chinese(abc), my favorite hostess was star because she was the only one that actually spoke fluent english! Most of them spoke mandarin. So if you know mandarin, it’ll be a more enjoyable time for you. Kind of wished I had taken mandarin classes when I was younger. They close at 2am. It’s dark in there. They turn on the lights at 1:30am ish so they can get everyone to pay. Gave 4 stars because I think this place was a bit expensive. Paid 300 out of my own pocket, but bill came out to over $ 1000 for 4 people.

If I could give this place zero stars I would! My boyfriend and I are new to the area and have passed by this B’s(which I thought was just a dive bar) a number of times. Last night we were feeling adventurous, and decided to check out it and some of the other local dives. This was the first place we went and when we arrived at about 9, the place was darkly lit and blasting what sounded like bad Asian pop music. We were a bit surprised by the metal detector that greeted us, but we figured hell, no patrons were there and the bartender already saw us so come in, so one quick drink won’t hurt! I ordered my fav, vodka soda, and since it was clear the extender barely understood English, my boyfriend just said he’d have the same. After what seemed like forever(was he fermenting the potatoes himself?) the guy gave us our drinks, which wound up being made with Sprite, NOT soda. I didn’t bother telling the poor guy because communication had already been so hard, so we decided to drink quickly and move on. Since we were planning on being there a short amount of time, I handed the guy my card to pay, and he comes back and says«26 dollars», and hands me the receipt to sign. I was dumfounded… I’ve never paid that much for 2 drinks, even at swanky LA bars!!! We decided to cut the losses, because as a former bartender, I know you can’t haggle prices, so we chose to drink up and get out before being further taken advantage of. We downed our ridiculously expensive drinks in 15 min or less and booked it. Oddly, in that short period of time, the lights were turned up and the music shifted to American pop… very weird. Also, there were people smoking inside across the bar, which is illegal in CA. Whatever, we were satisfied at least being able to watch a soundless Fast and Furious on the 1970s tv behind the bar during our short stay. So we left and ventured on into the night, agreeing we’d never step foot through that metal detector again. Here’s the kicker though… at the next place we stopped, we tell the bartender our story, and she tells us B’s is a «hostess bar»! I’ve never even heard of this, but apparently it’s something of a G-rated brothel, where you pay to spend time with girls. Uggggh! 1) that’s disgusting and the damn bartender could have warned us, since we obviously weren’t there for girls 2) that doesn’t justify insanely priced drinks(I’ve paid less at strip clubs! Moral of this review: don’t go to B’s even if you are looking for some female attention, it’s a rip! Second moral: always rely on Unilocal to guide your ventures!!!

Probably the worst bar you’ll ever come to. Worse selection of beer I’ve ever seen. They only have Bud Light and Heineken… But the worse part is, we were charged $ 600 for 10 cans of beer? Apparently this is a «hostess bar» where girls come to your table. However they forgot to tell us that this was a hostess bar and that there would be a charge for every girl that comes to our table. I don’t know whether we got scammed or what but this is the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard or seen. I’m going to report this to the city and have them closed down. Did anybody else get charged for girls coming to their table?

WTF this turned into a hostess bar and weren’t informed about being charged for girls to drink our drinks. I used to come here over a year ago to sing, drink and place dice games. Didn’t know it changed into such a sleezy, rip off dump. We got a surprise bill and boy there were a lot of digits…

Since I was in the area, my husband and I stopped by to see a few friends. We walked in and were greeted by an elder man and a woman, they might be the owner, which was very welcoming. This is a nice karaōke bar, The place was very dark, I can’t even see anything to describe the interior except it’s very loud, people were singing in Chinese. It could be a fun place when you come with a large group of friends, people were playing B/S dice game and Five — ten drinking game. Not a place for date, you won’t be able to engage in any conversation. Just come and show off your singing talent.

Went here once or twice last year and didn’t think too much of it. Recently went only to discover they had changed owners. QUITEPOSSIBLYTHEMOSTHORRIBLEEXPERIENCE I’VEEVERHAD. Not only did they not know how to make a simple gin and tonic, they literally made up prices on the spot. $ 30 for a gin and tonic is absolutely ridiculous. A «bucket» of 6 beers will run you about $ 40 — luckily we asked and immediately left. I would avoid this place at all costs.

Total HongKong old bar style. Old décor with bad smell. I am giving it two stars because the price is cheap.

I went there tonight. If you don’t speak Cantonese there, you are f — -d. Expect bad service, passive aggressive behavior, whatever, etc. Also, I requested four songs to sing for karaōke and was skipped on all four occassions. Lots of dumb waitresses; go elsewhere.

Reminded me of all the Hong Kong bars I used to go in Kowloon. You really have to like this style of bar to enjoy it. It’s karaōke dive bar partying at its best. It’s big and not crowded. Good place to come with a big group of people(we had 12).

I have to echo K.D.‘s sentiments. B’s Land is not bad if it’s all you have to work with. Some of their drinks outside their advertised specials maybe pricey by SGV standards. Offset the drinks by loading up on the complimentary beer nuts. As a word of caution, there are a good number of cops camping that stretch of San Gabriel near closing time.

I always have a great time at B’s Land. My friend and I know the people that work there so I might be bias. However, the place is not really special other than it is a few of the Asian sport bar out there in the SGV area. The place is not really crazy decorated and the outside is nothing special either. Parking is in rear. However, if you want to have a great time getting some drinks with friend, sing karaōke, and with appetizers then this is a good place to visit since it is never packed with too many people.
