This place is solid! My chiropractor told me about a good Phở place in this plaza, so I had to give it a try and it did not disappoint. Here is a tip: Parking is crazy in this plaza, so if you can, park one block north of valley, then walk over to the plaza. No worries about parking then! What I love about this place is simple: Clean, good food, cheap and they even have tv’s so I can watch NBA. You too can enjoy a good game in a clean environment with good phở for under $ 10. Unbelievable right? Be sure to check it out. There is another restaurant at the end of the plaza with a wait and it does have 4.5 stars, you may want to check that one out as well.

I tried their phở and spring rolls. I came here with high expectations due to Unilocal reviews. First off it was empty when I went at dinner time. Order was wrong but was fixed. Their phở nor spring rolls are anything special. If anything I thought they are overpriced for the food. I will not return back here for the food.

In my opinion, this is the best phở in town. Recommended«Bun Cha» which President Obama has in his Vietnam trip.

Spring roll and egg rolls were really good! As for phở, the soup was tasty, noodle was on point, meat quality wasn’t as good as I expected. But I will definitely come here again.

Some pretty interesting choices here not always available at typical phở restaurants, like phở tron filet(dry phở with stir-fried beef) and bun thang(thin noodle soup with chicken, egg and ham). I’m typically not a phở ga fan, but the bun thang was good and hearty, like a vietnamese chicken noodle soup. Place is also relatively clean for a phở restaurant, so if that’s important to you… Sadly, parking is almost nonexistent, because since Boston Lobster landed in this shopping center, like 90% of the spots have been taken over by hoards of people hungry for what they used to get at Newport Seafood. There’s a spot right in front that’s sometimes saved with a chair that says«Phở Ngoon» on it. If you’re lucky enough to see it, that spot’s for you.

This restaurant is clean and the food is also delicious. I recommend«spicy lemongrass beef noodle soup» and«special phở».

I really don’t understand how this place was able to get 4 stars with 237 reviews? It’s one of the worst phở places I have been to! A totally big disappointment. The broth was very mediocre! The tendon was hard and thick. Beef slices were too thick as well. Most Vietnamese phở places by default come with small noodles, this place gave me the medium-large ones without bother asking what I want. And they were a little bit too soft too. Terrible! I couldn’t eat those noodles, I only like the typical small ones. I specifically said no tripe and yet there were some big pieces floating in my soup. Holy cow, I hate the looking of those weird things! My husband requested no white onions in his soup, and also reduce the noodles by half and fill the bowl up with soup instead. And yet there were white onions in his bowl with the same amount of noodles like mine. A very simple request and they couldn’t get it done right. Nothing they did come out right! I passionately dislike this place. It has ruined my beautiful morning today and I’m still feeling very frustrated as I wrap up this review. So rest assured, we will definitely not come back!

I was always wondering why this place gets packed whenever I wanna eat here. We came and it was empty.(Lucky us) Order basic b* phở noodles with my bae. It was good. The roasty looking hot sauce wasn’t roasted at all. For shame. Anyway it was alright, worse part was that they had this song«Tieng Gio Xon Xao» by Dam Vinh Hung on repeat(Thank you Shazaam!). Like literally played 12 times while we were here. The song was melancholy sung by a woman, who seems to have lost her love or something like that. Or maybe she’s singing about her phở being so hot it burned her tongue and that’s why she sings in such a low register. Great song especially when the song swoops in on the bridge and she sings all breathy-like. 7⁄10 will Spotify As for the restaurant, B–

Ok Phở. Soup was decent, they gave a lot of beef with the noodles but the soup was… ok. The fried egg roll was good and the beef spring roll was just ok as well. I’ve had better Phở… Service was okay as well. We walked in while the waiter was eating and he took a while to finish up his meal and come take our orders(lol).

yummmyyyyyyyyy! we came from outta town looking for phở. thankfully phở ngoon was right across the street! i had #9 and my buddies had #6 and bun. the noodles were excellent! the broth was very tasty, the noodles were thick(not vermicelli-like) which was a first for me and it was amazing. and i loved that they topped my phở with minced ginger. made it even better! i also appreciated the unsweetened iced tea. the place looks clean and well maintained as opposed to most phở restaurants. i highly recommend!

Came here for dinner on a Thursday night around 9:00pm. The décor is very modern and clean, which I liked. Servers were friendly and nice. We ordered the phở with brisket, pork chop with rice, and cha gio. The cha gio were very good and crispy. In the pork chop dish, one of the pieces of pork was actually undercooked, so we asked them to cook it longer and they ended up bringing out a brand new piece of pork cooked properly. The phở broth was one of the better ones I’ve had; it’s very flavorful and darker in color. The brisket was a bit on the tougher side, and they use thicker noodles here which I’m not that big a fan of. I prefer the thinner noodles in my phở. Overall I think it was a good meal and reasonably priced.

Parking/Location: This is located in the same plaza as Popeye’s and Boston Lobster, which means that the parking can get crazy during peak times. Luckily I came on a late Sunday evening and we were able to find parking right away. Service: Service was excellent. The waiter was extremely friendly. He was very attentive and polite. The food came out quick, which was also great since I was starving! I also asked for green onion in hot oil or fat, and he gave it to us without a problem. Some places charge extra for it. Food: I ordered the special combination, which was number 6. They have two sizes: S — $ 6.90 and L — $ 7.90. I got the small, which was the perfect amount for me. The soup had great flavor! The special came with rare steak, brisket, flank, tendon, and tripe. I thought they were a little skimpy on noodles and some pieces of the meat were on the chewy side. Other than that, it was great! Overall: I’ll definitely be back here again! Great service, good food, and decent prices! :)

For the longest time, I’ve been eating phở at Golden Deli, thinking that it was the best in SGV. Oh how I was wrong. While I like the seafood noodle in Golden Deli, hands down, this place has the best beef phở in SGV that I have tried so far(and I have tried a good amount ;)). This is what you must get: Phở Dac Biet(with thick noodle) Goi Cuon(spring roll) What sets this place apart from other phở I’ve tried is the broth. Their broth is very tasty with a lot of beef flavor without being heavy. Every time I go to this place, I almost drink all of the soup even if I get the large size. It’s that good! Another plus is that even after drinking that much soup(during dinner), I don’t feel disgusting at night. On the other hand, if I get Golden Deli phở for dinner and drink almost all their soup, I feel very thirsty at night almost like there was a bunch of MSG that I consumed. Besides Phở Ngoon’s great broth is their fresh ingredients and the thick noodle. I have to say, this thick phở noodle is much better than the thin phở noodle, which seems to be a default at Golden Deli. The spring rolls are very fresh as well, so I like getting that to compliment the beef phở. But the definite star is the phở! Note: Small is a good size for most people. But if you’re like me who loves both noodles and soup, get the large!!! It’s a lot of food :) Second Note: If you’re ordering phở, ask them for vinegar onion(Hanh Dam) to eat with your phở. Adding hoisin sauce and sriracha to the pickled onion is so delicious and compliments the phở very well! Third Note: Add chili paste(not the sriracha) to the sauce for the spring rolls for dipping. It makes it that much tastier if you want a kick!

Open on TUESDAYS! We wondered into this phở spot yesterday around 6:45 pm. Our usual phở spots are closed on Tuesdays and I was really in the mood for some phở, so my fiancé searched Unilocal and we ended up here. For a busy parking lot this place doesn’t get as busy as one would expect. They have about 10 – 15 tables and when we arrived less than half were occupied. We were greeted and seated immediately. The menu is small but clear with photos, so ordering shouldn’t be a problem for anyone. I ordered my usual the #6 Phở Bac(Rare Filet Mignon) and my fiancé tried the #5 Phở Tai Lan(Filet Steak Garlic Noodle Soup). We both ordered large for $ 9.50, which is slightly more expensive than what the few pictures on Unilocal displayed of the menu; but to be fair I did over hear our waiter say that the menu is not the same. My broth to my Phở Bac was flavorful, not the best, but up there. Our soups came with large noodles, which I don’t really care for, but didn’t mind here cause the noodle was more flat than big. My fiancé loved his soup, he thinks garlic makes anything better. I was also pleased to see that they had all the usual condiments one would need to enjoy one’s phở, I hate it when places don’t provide you with the red chili paste. I also enjoyed a thai tea and my fiancé had an ice tea; small portions, but cute glasses, so I’m stuck in the middle on this one. The only issue here worth mentioning is with parking. Phở Ngoon is located on the North West corner of San Gabriel and Valley in the mini plaza. The parking to this plaza is tiny and is always packed with cars. We had to park down the street, but after a large bowl of phở we didn’t mind the walk.

Simple and straight forward. This place has tasty phở that starts with a tasty broth and it is served with thick rice noodles. The beef served in the phở is cooked just right and it’s the right level of quality for the price. The beef wrapped in rice paper was decent, but I’d pass on it. It’s not too impressive. The same would go for the shrimp spring rolls. Neither were bad, but I’d rather save the money and have a large phở bowl. Extra rice noodles are $ 1.00, a great bargain if you ask me.

Not your regular Phở, Juicy I like the twist this place has with their Phở and rice dishes. I think it adds a different type of flavor and taste, not your traditional kind. Some people might like the traditional flavor so this is probably not something you would like. For me, I love trying new different flavors of all kinds of foods so I actually really loved the slightly different phở flavor. The soup did not taste like it was full of msg. The meat had a lot of flavor which I really love about it. The rice dish I got was #9 and I was very impressed how tasty and juicy it was. It was not your typical rice plate. There’s a lot of pictures of this plate on Unilocal and I thought it was very good and the meat was delish. There are other meals on the white board which I would love to try next time I come back. Service was good. Ambiance was simple, calm, and clean. They also serve coconut juices as a real coconut which is impressive, not all the places have that. The other drinks they have are syrup based though just to warn all the people watching their sugar intake.

All the reviews are right about this place. I have to admit I’ve been hesitant to come to this place because of the phở place that was here before but this place is worth a visit. They are known for their garlic beef phở. At first you think, it’s just phở with garlic(well that’s what I thought) but then it comes. The soup is infused with garlic flavor. The meat is cut thick; it is not like the usual thin beef slices you would expect from a bowl of phở. The garlic adds so much flavor to the soup. I am not one to add many sauces to phở soup because I think the flavor of the soup is the make or break aspect of a good bowl of phở. The soup is rich is flavor so it won points for me. The noodles are not the usual thin phở noodles either; instead, you have fresh thick noodles that you would expect from chiu chow noodles places. It is a unique bowl of phở that is worth a visit. I know I will be back. A couple of things to also look for: The jackfruit dessert. It is yogurt topped with jelly and slices of jackfruit. Don’t expect it to look like the pictures on Unilocal because they add in toppings based on availability. So you might not get the basil seeds like the ones in the Unilocal pictures. It is an ok combination. I personally would rather have jackfruit by itself. Service is a bit inattentive. It took us quite a bit of time to flag down a server for some extra bowls and sauce dishes. The place is also very small with a handful of tables so expect to wait. Finally and most importantly, look for parking outside of the lot. The lot is not built to handle the number of cars to service this place, the bakery, the coffee shop, Popeyes, the other Vietnamese shop, and Boston Lobster. Try to find street parking. There is usually parking down valley or up one of the smaller streets. I will be back to try the other bun dishes… or to have another bowl of this garlic beef phở.

OHEMGEE! I have found my new favorite phở spot! Started searching Unilocal this month since golden deli has been closed. Saw all the great reviews and knew I had to check it out. Its a pretty small restaurant, maybe around ten tables. It has a pretty small menu but what they have is amazing! I decided on the Phở Bac(rare filet mignon) 8.50 for a large bowl. The price seemed a little high to me considering we were in san gabriel but I decided to give it a shot anyways. The bowl came out hot and perfect! Very flavorful but not overpowering. The noodles are the wider flat noodles, which I LOVE! The broth was tasty and the meat was tender. Im getting hungry just thinking about it! I kept eating the noodles and my bowl never seemed to get empty, they were like magic noodles! haha just kidding. But really the portions are huge, I took the rest home and still had enough for another nice bowl of phở. So although the prices are high, it seems like you are really getting double the amount of food you would at any other phở place. Plus the ingredients are fresh and crisp, and the meat quality is high. Will definitely be back soon! Im so sad I no longer live in SGV, but its worth the drive, even if I am in west la now.

I found this place on Unilocal while looking for other vietnamese restaurants to try since I’m alway at Golden Deli(love you guys). Since this place was 4.5 stars I decided to give it a try! Parking — I came on a Tuesday at 2PM& only 1 other table was occupied so not busy! Parking was easy too. Tt’s a decent sized lot. Ambiance — It’s a pretty casual place. Nice décor and more modern looking compared to other Vietnamese restaurants. Service — The guy was on his phone the whole time but he was attentive to our table. He was willing to help & was really nice when I made alterations to my order. Food — I got 2 orders of the Shrimp spring rolls. I asked for no pork & less noodles, more veggies. Yay, and it was perfect. It comes with a side of the peanut sauce and it was so good! I used all the sauce up but I love peanut butter so maybe that’s why. The rolls tasted very fresh! My dad got the regular Phở with beef & he was it was delicious! Shrimp Spring rolls = 2 rolls for $ 3.50. Not bad!

I think this is my new favorite spot now because its open bit later than all phở places and convenient. Every time I come, not much people here but the food is always great. Menu has very little, but the noodles and meat does not disappoint(garlic steak phở). I also came 2 other times to order the same spring rolls #1 shrimp and dry pork with noodles and vegetables in fish sauce and also #3 beef rolls which is a rice noodle wrapping lettuce and beef to dip with a peanut butter oyster sauce.
