This place is amazing! Very nice decoration and very clean, and the servers are so kind! They didn’t ask us to order a lot for us 2 people and they are funny The fish is great! Very soft and reasonably spicy and salty. we asked for one rice and they gave us extra in one bowl caz we have two people. The cold noodle is amazing too! Very good flavor! Totally gonna come again. BTW a cold noodle and a serving of fish is enough for two people!

—- It’s not super fancy or anything, but I do have a good time with my friends. Sichuan style there is always a delicious spread of cold dishes/appetizers. It’s very tasty Doused in a bunch of dried chili peppers, stir frying it with garlic and other aromatics, really brings out a whole bunch of flavors. I love cold mung bean noodles, I always get this dish when it’s available, it’s my favorite. There are so many Sichuan restaurant, but trust me this place you be glad that you give try.

This place is not bad. The boiled fish and beef and the cumin lamb are very comparable to the best szechuan restaurants in the SGV. I would not order the fried potatoes. The flavor isn’t bad but there must so many other better dishes to try. This is not the silken potatoes. There is a distinct taste of the numbing peppers which I like in the dishes. This is the signature spice for szechuan cuisine. The price here is slightly higher than spicy city or cui hoa lou.

Relatively new place that has been opened for about 5 months. Service here is good and attentive. Prices are on the higher side when compared to some of the older Szechuan restaurants in the SGV such as Spicy City and Yunnan Garden. Enjoyed 3 dishes with a friend here. The flavors were pretty spot on with their ma la seasoning(good amounts of Szechuan peppercorns incorporated into the Fish Filet & Beef in Hot Spicy Gravy(better known as water boiled fish & beef). The House Special Potatoes were cooked al dente, where you can still get a nice firmness to the potato and a bit of a crunch when biting into it. The cumin lamb dish is well seasoned, and the slices of lamb were very soft and tender, unlike some of the other Szechuan places. We ordered our dishes to be prepared at medium spiciness level. Yet, the dishes were all very mild, spiciness-wise. Definitely will be coming back with a larger group to try more dishes. One thing that was interesting, they only have 3 hot vegetarian/vegetable dishes on the menu, not counting the Ma Po Tofu and Hot Spicy Tofu dishes.

Short on staff, full of uncleaned tables and let guests stand for over 15 mins before they clean the table and seating, only two people working outside and they can’t handle the traffic at all, dishes are ok, but from what I experienced, almost no service at all(no menu, no water, no order, and takes forever to get the check)

TRULYEXCELLENT new Szechuan food in the SGV. Very small restaurant in a large strip mall. Plenty of parking. One of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve been to. The food was all truly excellent. I hope they get a beer and wine license, as a Chinese beer would go good with the spice. The only dish we had that we felt was good but not great was the Kung Pao chicken. First off it looks like they use all white meat chicken, Thank GOD! But while the Kung Pao tasted good, it was over tenderized or something that made it rubbery in texture. Otherwise, we had the cold noodles, which were spicy and excellent. The dumplings in chili oil, which were delicious and spicy. The Chong Qing chicken which was excellent and not greasy like some places, but unless you ate the chilies it just wasn’t spicy enough. Next time I will ask for my food spicier. I guess Chinese restaurants get scared white people can’t take the spice cause some can’t and complain. The string beans were not on the menu, but when we showed them a picture off Unilocal,we got them. I think it was a spicy black bean sauce. Really good. Really fresh and crispy. Also, had the shredded pork in garlic sauce. Best I’ve ever had in the SGV and maybe all of California. Truly delicious. And the Dan Dan noodles, which need to be spicier but are still one of the better tasting version I’ve had(I hate when it is a gloppy peanut butter sauce concoction — here it is more oil based the way I like. So besides wanting things spicier, which I will request next time, and the rubbery texture of the Kung Pao chicken, the place only has one major problem. The wait staff and host. When we went in, there was one waitress. The manager/owner/host(whatever) was busy on his phone in the kitchen. And another waiter was in the kitchen. We were left standing a few minutes. Also, service in general is just very weak. The two waiters barely speak English, so expect difficulty with any special ordering or questions if you don’t speak Mandarin. And they seem very green at waiting tables, looking anxious and over stressed. The place was nearly full(though it is small), with two large parties. Maybe if business keeps up or is like this all the time, a third waiter may be in order.

My friend and I ordered the mixed dry pot, cold noodle dish, and the sweet fried rice sticks. The cold noodle dish is NOT the regular Dan Dan mian noodles, rather, the sweet and sour base seems like a more mellow version of the cold noodle dish sold by street vendors from Shenyang in Northeast China(their version of the Dan Dan Mian is tangy, sweet, and fiery.) The mixed dry pot has a variety of veggies and meats in the dish, like spam, fish, pork belly, intestines, and calamari, bamboo, bean sprouts, and lotus roots, to name the best parts. The sweet rice sticks(Mochi on the menu) are sweet rice cooked then cut into sticks, fried, then served with peanut powder, sugar, and a brown sugar syrup. We both liked it as it didn’t have any dried out edges, and was mostly soft and chewy but didn’t stick to your teeth. because my friend doesn’t eat beef or lamb, we asked them to exclude those, and I asked for MSG free on all the dishes. We felt kinda bad, asking for so many things«no this, no that, oh, and can we ask for mildly spicy? My ulcers are acting up…» Argh, if I was the server, I would totally be rolling my eyes and suggesting the various non-spicy dishes we can offer instead… But nope, we had a great waiter who was very sympathetic and understanding, and even brought a bowl of clean water for me to rinse off some of the peppers and oil in(I didn’t ask for it, ahem. He brought it just in case) The one star off is the fact that it was still too spicy… I can go super spicy, but my ulcers can’t take it, so I really did make use of the water bowl… Then the food becomes cold and watery after getting swished around in cold water… and it tastes pretty sad after that. My honest suggestions are: hot water for washing off the spices instead of cold, and when the customer asks for mild, please do mild. Just less red oil and less fresh pepper, and you’re pretty much good to go.

Did takeout, so rating based on the food. Thought everything was solid but when we ordered, they didn’t ask how spicy we wanted it — so everything ended up average spicy. Some dishes fared well, others were not to my liking. I’m interested to see how they taste like when it’s extra spicy. Liked: Szechuan Noodle — always a solid dish Garlic Cucumber — freshly cut cucumbers; this was consumed quickly Toothpick Lamb — really good, the combination of the spices and lamb made it very savory Neutral Territory: Dry Pot Frog — just not a fan of frogs, but they had lotus root, potatoes incorporated with the chiles, which I liked Mongolian Beef — too sweet and mild in flavor for me Szechuan Bean Jelly — the consistency of it was not for me

so this is a new spot that popped up and it’s good. I visit my grandfather almost yearly in Cheng Du and my aunt in Sichuan and this food transports me back there except without the 18 hours of flying and the expensive visa. the prices are pretty competitive and the quality is there. my fiancé was weary because we were the only ones here but it sure filled up quick. hidden gem alert!

If you’re looking for SiChuan style food, this is THE place to be. Growing up with both SiChuan bloodline and beginning cooking SiChuan food at 7, the authenticity and taste here is unmatched by others in the same area. 5⁄5STARS, a must try!

Nice clean place with good ambiance. Most important is that the bathroom is CLEAN. A nice potpourri next to the sink. Well, may be because the place is brand new. Hope they can keep it that way. The food was good and the price reasonable. I would say about 10 to 15% higher than Sam Woo next door, depending on what you order. However, they paid attention to the plating, and the portion was good. This place was like eating at Chuan’s less the performance and the high price. We ordered the twice cooked pork, fish with pine nuts, beef with scallions, Dan Dan noodles, cold noodles, and a cucumber cold dish. The stir fried dishes are well done, with lots of fire power from the wok ring. Like many Chengdu and Cantonese restaurant, its important to have a strong fire power to have the glaze and smoky aroma while cooking the dishes quickly. The Dan Dan noodles was a bit over-cooked, it was a good quality noodle but the over cooking made it a little mushy. And the portion was a little too much, making it hard to mix. This one bowl can easily be shared among three people. Overall, it was a nice neighborhood restaurant with good food, reasonable prices, and hopefully continue to have a clean atmosphere.
