Agave Tequila Room

Worse wait for a burrito I’ve ever had. Empty with 3 customers took 30 minutes for a burrito to come out. Terrible staff. Would not recommend! On top f that the waiter thought we were trying to dine and ditch.

So. First off we had to seat ourselves because there was no one there to seat us. There wasn’t any sign either to tell us what to do either. After a few minutes a lady came over to address us. She brought us water but walked away to quickly before my friend could tell her exactly what she wanted. The chips and salsa was good. A little spicy but still nice.
Food was really bland. I ordered the beef vegetables soup and it wasn’t satisfying at all. It had a lot of fat still on the meat and the vegetables cut chunky. I’ve never had to put salt on mexican food but i had to today.
The tortilla weren’t even homemade. Very disappointing. Tasted like the kind from safeway heated up.
P.s water glasses we’re dirty. Little particulars floating at bottom. Not a good look

8 pm Tuesday night no comedy here. Ceviche is cooked Ecuador style. Salsa is spicy hot. Chicken wings has a very crispy later. The dip that comes with wins is so spicy. Sangria is sweet. Lime margarita is light. Not too many customers here. Place is more of a family restaurant than a bar. You can hear babies crying. Also don’t leave anything in your car. I saw a hobo looking into everyone’s car.

Yummy authentic Mexican food. Even though they were close to closing (we didn’t know) and the only ones there, we were still served perfectly. My boyfriend ordered at delicious fajitas. It’s a lot of food. I ordered the chicken enchiladas. However, I got cheese enchilada and 2 pieces of fried chicken. We did have wave down for water. But, we had plenty of food to take home.

Authentic Mexican Restaurant the best cuisine in the entire San Jose Food is delicious love there seafood soup and their Margaritas and other Foods that i dont know how to name them but are delicious. To top it off they have Great Service Plus they having comedy night every Tuesday. Always something entertaining is happening in here

This place … oh man. I almost feel compelled to give this place 4 stars because I don’t know of another place like this around. But overall I can’t say that it was the A+ team on Tuesday night.
A friend of mine does stand up here regularly on Tuesdays, so I visited last week when I didn’t have class. The room is dark, dingy and everything is a little bit sticky. You’re not quite sure what exactly it is you might be stepping into and perhaps it is better than way.
There’s a $ 5 entrance fee. They still want you to buy drinks and food though, despite the entry fee.
I don’t know if comedians either pay to act on stage or … get some money. I doubt they do, so I am guessing they’re either free to sign up or they pay to be on stage. There is a great number of stand up acts on each night. Some of them are ok. Others …
This is a good open mic place though. Staff is friendly for the most part, but restaurant is pretty much dead.

Agave is a great restaurant with good comics great food and a nice vibe. Their monthly showcases are ALWAYS crackin. If you love comedy, food, drinks, and Mexican music this is the place to be. Every Tuesday is open mic night which is super convenient and the staff and comics are extremely friendly. :)

Great crowd on Tuesday nights. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the south bay. The staff is really nice and the drinks are cheap. Great place to hear new material from local comedians.

If you’re looking for an open mic in South Bay, the room is a fun room for doing standup as well as watching the comics. Live standup comedy here is on Tuesdays.

If you’re looking to laugh and have fun on a Tuesday night then this is the place to go. Excellent food and service. At the Agave Tequila Room you will find local Bay Area comedians do what they do best and that is making people laugh. This room hosts a wide range of comedians, from beginners to comedians who travel all over California and across the country. This place does not disappoint.

Whether your looking for some laughs or a comic looking for a place to share some laughs. Come on out you wont be dissapointed.

This is a great room for comedy with some of the best comics from across the country. Some have had t.v. and movie credits. The food is awesome and the waitresses are on point. You are missing out if you do not come to this room for Tuesday night comedy!!! BE THERE!!!

A friend invited me a few months back to check out the comedy open mic they’ve got here in Tuesday nights and I’m really glad I did! The comedians are hilarious, the mexican food is wonderful and it’s just a great place to have a drink and relax while having a couple laughs. Plus the staff is all so sweet! I’d definitely recommend checking it out yourself or with a few friends!

Discovered the open mics when I first attended one of their Wednesday Showcases and heard from one of the comedians that every Tuesday night at Agave Restaurant people sign up and perform their sets on stage. I’ve been going almost every tuesday for the past couple of months and it’s nice to have somewhere to go on a weekday and enjoy my night with laughter and a room full of amazing and talented people.
