This particular Arby’s has changed my opinion of the franchise, and not for the better. Why should I visit an Arby’s in the Bay Area, when there are far better choices? If I ever intend to eat at another Arby’s, I’ll stick with the original roast beef sandwich. The Bay Area Arby’s locations all have one thing in common: the locations all look like the last remodel took place during the Reagan administration. Decades later, the locations look worn-out and dumpy. My assumption is that the franchise owner is also the property owner. Like most real estate in the Bay Area, the land underneath the building is far more valuable than the building. IF there’s ANY possibility that some developer might want to snap up that property for redevelopment, why would/should the current owner want to spend money in remodeling the locations? Back to the story. Early Saturday evening. Hubby and I enter the Cambrian Park area Arby’s. An older couple is ahead of us, vacillating on what to order. They seem frozen in place. They’re oblivious to the line forming behind them. Five minutes have passed. The cashier is trying to get an answer out of the silent couple, asking them numerous times if he can take the order. No response. I’m strongly tempted to ask if we can order while they continue in pause mode. The cashier finally gets the opportunity to take their order, but, I’m wondering if they mistakenly thought they were somewhere else. Subway. McDonald’s. KFC. Car dealership. The San Jose Airport. It’s taking a very long time to place that order, as if this couple is negotiating a more complex issue over roast beef sandwiches. I’ll mark this down as one of the slowest wait times I’ve encountered at a fast food restaurant. I felt guilty for my impatience. It was an awkward moment. I ordered the fish sandwich.(On my last visit at an Arby’s on Stevens Creek, this item was a pleasant surprise. I was not expecting it to be very good on that previous visit, and yet, it was one of the better ones I’ve tasted.) Hubby ordered the French Dip. We wait for the food. Finally, it arrives. My fish sandwich tastes OLD, warmed over, and smells, as if it had been sitting awhile. The French dip, curly fries, no problem. Then again, these are items that you expect to be correct, i.e. the signature items on an Arby’s menu. I bring the fish sandwich back to the counter, interrupting the line. I tell the so-called manager(bald, heavy set man with a goatee) that the fish sandwich is old. I’m hoping they give me a refund, or the option of ordering a regular roast beef sandwich as replacement. The response was a shock: «Oh, that was the sandwich I put aside; I’ll shouldn’t have given you that sandwich. I’ll make you a fresh sandwich.» What the??? WHY would/should this person consider it acceptable to pawn off old food to a customer? Why didn’t you make me a fresh sandwich in the first place? IF I hadn’t said anything, he would have had no compunction in serving old food to customers. More than likely, he has served food past its prime numerous times to customers before. This is a health issue. I’m disgusted, and now wary of eating at an Arby’s.

Normally wouldn’t write a review on a fast food chain, but felt compelled to acknowledge how great Jesse is. So so friendly and kind! I wish good things for his future!

Great deal for a great price. I was not greeted or thanked for the transaction. The female worker who was at cash register. Her name started with an E. Im literally sitting here listening to the two young workers up front talking about all the stealing they used to do. Ummm interesting. 3 stars for mediocre service.

My kids like Arby’s so we go here. What strikes me is that the food is always consistent and the staff was very nice. It’s a fast food place that doesn’t seem quite so unhealthy. And because you were always coupons in the mail you really do get your moneys worth.

I had the best experience ever in a fast food chain. I’ve never been to Arby’s and I decided to give it a try because I was sent coupons in the mail. I walked in and the place is old school. I don’t think it has changed since the first day they open their doors but it was well kept and clean. When I was about to place my order I told the cashier I’d never been to an Arby’s before he smile and helped me work through the menu. They have a tons of different items on their menu and I order the turkey swiss market fresh sandwich meal with jalapeño hush puppies. They brought my food to the table and along with my curly fries they also gave me a couple of other samples of a jalapeño popper, mozzarella stick and a couple of their sauces. The gentleman told me to be careful because they were hot. I couldn’t believe they gave me samples let alone warm me about my fried items being hot. My sandwich was delicious and I love the dijon mustard and red onions that came in it. The curly fries were hot, crunchy and awesome. After the meal I went back for one of the chocolate turnovers. It was soooo good! This place rocks and I will certainly be back.

I’m a big fan of Arbys. I enjoy some few sauces they have especially the horse radish. This old location was a pretty good experience for me. The customer service wasn’t too bad and I got my food really fast. I feel they are overpriced and the quantity is not much for which I hoped.

Not clean(or old?) dinning room. Mean looking cashier who is quite impatient when taking orders. OK food(just like any Arby’s). I love their regular fries.

Stopped in to get the turkey club. As I entered the resturant I hear an employee was telling a customer they are out of cooked bacon. Apparently the morning person didn’t do their job. Well things happen I understand but it really was the unprofessional behavior the made me leave. The guy at the counter kept yelling to the other guy(demeaning manner) implying he was incompetent or stupid. Hey you gonna get the drinks! You gonna get the fries? I understand co workers can have difficultly working together. Although it shouldn’t be blatantly obvious to customers. Just be clear the person with white shirt was the one being yelled at.

Craved chicken so I got craved chicken! The food was okay. The place is small but few tables to sit and eat. I have nothing against it but not a big fast food person so most likely will not go back.

Very friendly and nice, clean place. Looks like Arby’s doesn’t do drive throughs anymore otherwise I’d check it out more often.

NOTE-my previous review of the other Arbys on Stevens Creek! This one is cheaper, cleaner… people are nicer and less expensive! Nuff said? Oh! and you can get a side cup of Ajus for free with your roast beef sandwich which is $ 7 at the other one I downgraded in comparison! Hope the owner sees this review! :)

This is a nice fast food joint to have lunch at. I usually frequent here after doing my banking errands at Chase. As a vegetarian, it’s always a little bit of a challenge visiting these type of places. But the employees here are quite accommodating. They fixed me up a hearty customized super vegetarian sandwich — wheat bread slices with all of the different cheeses they have, with lettuce greens, tomato slices and honey mustard ~ Of course, no trip is complete without the curly fries and vanilla shake! //All for less than 6 $, I don’t think I can complain! Three words on my experience here: accommodating, fresh, and friendly. I just wished they had their positive feedback bell so I can express my appreciation — DINGDING!

i love this joint! the employess are so down to earth and chill. the service is not the fastest on the block but you get your food fresh and you can tell it was prepared after you ordered. if you like arbys/hardys you will like this one bc the food is prepared fresh and the service is nice, simple as that.

I worked here for almost 5 years and I can say it is very clean and sanitary place. They don’t always have the brightest cashiers but the food production is basicaly family run. Almost everyone is related and prepare the food like it was for them. I never got tired of eating there while working there and I still love it.

As a former employee i’m about to drop some truth on you. This place is a sweatshop. The working conditions are horrible and extremely outdated. If you like to work 9 hours without a break, don’t speak a word of english, and want to be yelled at for the littlest things then by all means work here. Their meat cutter is disgusting and the meat that Arby’s wants to serve you in general is gross. Next time you go into any Arby’s ask them to show you their meat. They say its roast beef but i really don’t know what the hell it is. This store might operate differently then others, but its mexicans in the back white kids in the front. You wont hear a word of english coming from behind the counter. Don’t get me wrong though some of the workers here that aren’t citizens are really nice and i have grown to love over the years. These people don’t get lunches period, work grueling hours, and only get paid about 7 dollars an hour. Please don’t support the mistreatment of another human being. Eat here, but tell the Better Business Bureau afterwards.

This place is great. I love their signature Beef & Cheddar roast beef sandwiches, I especially love their Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwiches, I love their Fried Potato Cakes, and I love their Jamocha shakes(although the old Black Cow shakes were even better; they should bring those back). Its nice going to a fast food joint that isn’t like all the others. Arby’s is technically a sandwich shop, but no one’s going to confuse it with Subway, or Togo’s. Arby’s is like a genre unto itself, and that’s worthy of respect right there. This particular Arby’s is part of local history, by simple virtue of how long its been there. I can recall going there with my parents when we first moved to this state… back in 1972.* And when you go here, you feel, well, perhaps not as if you’d traveled back in time all the way to 1972. Maybe 1989. Anyhow, its nostalgic, its classic, and its pretty damn cool. A bit pricey for fast food, but definitely part of a get-what-you-pay-for dynamic. *In those days, Arby’s still used goat’s milk in all their shakes.

Arby’s isn’t one of the fast food places I might ordinarily frequent, however, I heard they had a new pecan chicken salad sandwich so I decided to give it a try. OMG, can you spell D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S??? It’s nothing fancy — chicken salad with fresh apple, red grapes, pecans, mayo and lettuce on toasted wheat bread — but it is SO good! I would normally go to a deli, not a fast food place, for a sandwich so this was a nice surprise. The employees at the Camden store are super friendly. Don’t go expecting the décor to look like the Cheesecake Factory, though. It’s pretty vintage, but clean. Hope you enjoy this new sandwich!

Arby’s is one of my favorite fast food chains, I like it much more than McDonald’s and Burger King. I like how this Arby’s location at least cares about diversity since they got white workers like how In N Out Burger does while that’s something you don’t see everyday at fast food places around here. But their roast beef sandwiches are awesome and that’s what I usually get is the large roast beef sandwich with curly fries, sometimes I will get the roast beef sandwich with cheddar cheese too. Arby’s Rocks!

Okay, so they aren’t going to win any culinary awards, but sometimes one gets tired eating hamburgers. Arby’s fills a void. Their 5 for $ 5 is a great deal. Come on, 3 Arby’s Melts, curly fries, and a small orange cream swirl shake for $ 5? And slathered on all the Arby sauce you want? That is some fine eatin’. Décor? Is it a prerequiste that all Arby’s are located in structures at least 40 years old? While this location is clean, it is dated. But hey, you didn’t come here for the ambience did you? No, you came for potato cakes. The service is fast. Parking lot is large and easy to access.
