My wife called 408−418−2200 to schedule an appointment. The person on the phone kept making comments about her accent and ended the conversation, saying that someone else (e.g. the referring doctor) should call back.
The whole point of having a real human (as opposed to chat bot) answer calls is because some humans can gracefully handle such situations.

Dr. Chow is an amazing doctor. He is professional and has a great patience. His excellent skills and kind concern showed right from the beginning when I first met him 2 years ago. I really appreciate his expert care of my eyes and I strongly recommend him to all of my friends and family.

My boyfriend and I were referred to Dr. Chow by our optometrist as he was having great difficulty with his sight on his right eye. To complicate matters, he did not have insurance. We made an initial appointment to the Disalvo office in San Jose with Dr. Chow.
We were very anxious given the condition of his right eye and the fact that he had no insurance. We talked with Dr. Chow and explained his condition and situation. After extensive testing/​examination, Dr. Chow very patiently listened and took the time and explained to us his diagnosis, his treatment and payment options which put us at ease and gave us a sense that we could trust him. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and we really appreciated that he listened and thoroughly responded to all of our questions and concerns.
We have since received two treatments with him (at his other office in Campbell) with good progress and we are very encouraged for a full recovery. Based on our experience, we highly recommend Dr. Chow and would not hesitate to recommend his services to family and friends.
