This place is not what it seems like. It does not have a Dj every night. These 5 star reviews were most likely paid people because as soon as you walk in, it’s ratchet.

Only been here a couple of times and this place is great. They play great music, the hookah always comes out clean tasting and honestly never gets harsh at times i can have 4 coals on it at once and feel fine. The customer service is great as well they regularly check on guests if they need anything n if all is well definitely worth a try.

Let’s face it San Jose, good quality hookah places are very hard to come by nowadays, until… ENTER CLOUDZ HOOKAH.
My lovely friend came about inviting me out to hookah a few days before New Years (2015 to 2016). In truth, i didn’t expect anything all that great since some other hookah places tarnished the idea of smoking comfortably at a reasonable price. As I walked in, I noticed quite a few things about this place that has now made this place, my go-​to hookah place. First and foremost, the service here is very very good. All the employees here are quick to refill coals when needed, and are pretty fast at bringing out a hookah all set up in less than 5 minutes. The place itself is pretty cozy with loads of couches to sit at, and plenty of televisions. The music they play here is pretty good also, although if you do come here as often as we do, you’ll notice some familiar tracks; they mix it up though! Some nights, they even have a DJ play live music. Another wonderful plus us that they let me bring in my own food and drink, which may seem silly, but it makes my experience all that more comfortable.
Overall: A fantastic hidden gem in San Jose that I hope you all get to experience at one time or another. If you stop by, I HIGHLY recommend the Bastard Lemon Mint flavor, and the Warriors Flavor! Oh, and if you see me smoking, don’t hesitate to say «Hi!»

Awesome Hookah Bar! Spacious, great music and great staff! Got to use the Fuma hookah for the first time and it was by far the cleanest hookah ever!

Delicious hookah, great chill atmosphere. Good music play, but not to loud to where it’s annoying. Highly recommend.

Clouds hookah in San Jose is the best hookah lounge in San Jose with attentive service from all of the staff. The fresh fruit Fumo hookahs are the way to go. The manager Z even made a personal run to get watermelon when they ran out just for us. Never disappointed. A must go location for hookah. Amazing!

Came here for the first time because my friends birthday dinner was in San Jose area and wanted to hookah after and the service was amazing!
The guy at the front was very nice. I went to talk to him separately to get a soda and had a conversation and told him how it’s my friends birthday and he said we get a free refill.
Shadi was super nice and friendly! The hookah hits unlike other places in San Jose like… Well I don’t wanna take names but basically you should try this place compared to other places in San Jose if you’re in the area ! I highly recommend it if you’re a hookah fiend and know what good hookah is! Bc this is it

8This would be my 5^th time or maybe more… I don’t remember, i lost count, but I can say that everytime I visit this place, it’s always awesome. The stuff members are super sweet. No matter what the problem is they will help you with a positive attitude.
The price is good too! Other places the prices are ± $ 25 and that’s just regular favor. Over here the mix are just under $ 21 and regular favors are $ 19. My bf loves this place. It’s one of his favorite hookah bars to smoke and relax!
Did I mention that there is a student discount for SJSU (San Jose State University) … sadly I’m not part of that group but still worth it: P

Cloudz Hookah Lounge has never failed to satisfy me every single time I walk through the doors. Living in this area for two years, I have tried almost every single hookah lounge in the area, and Cloudz has always been the one I compare them to. No one in the area can beat the impeccable experience you will have at Cloudz.
The owner «Z» and his awesome staff are very kind individuals that truly care about your experience and customer satisfaction. Whether it is a casual weekday or a busy Friday/​Saturday night, the hookahs and service is always as on point as it gets! My favorite mixes are «Z’s», «Bastard», «Bootylicious», and «Shadi’s» but honestly, my friends and I have never been disappointed with anything that we have tried at Cloudz.
The service is wonderful and extremely fast, charcoal is always available, free wifi where us college students are able to get some homework done, (or mostly be on social media), tea, soft drinks, and snacks, occasional DJ, great music, the staff constantly coming to check up on all of the customers, and the hookahs are OUT OF THIS WORLD; what more could you ask for in a perfect hookah lounge?!
Also, the SJSU Student discount is a great plus for all of us broke college students!
All in all, I would recommend Cloudz to anyone that would like to try the BEST THEY WILL EVER HAVE IN SAN JOSE. The hookahs are packed perfectly, there is an insane variety of awesome mixes and flavors, and they last for hours and hours.

I’ve been smoking Shisha for more than the half-​life of most customers who frequent lounges these days.
My constant travels have conveniently enabled me to relish the various styles, tastes (and prices) of Nargiley over four continents around the world inclusive of; [North America] — US, Mexico & Canada, [Asia] — UAE, Turkey (Istanbul), Afghanistan, Pakistan, Russia (Siberia), [Africa] — Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal, [Europe] — Russia (Moscow), England, Holland, Belgium, France, Germany, Turkey (Istanbul).
Cloudz is in a little corner in downtown San Jose which is one of few Hookah Bars that truly deserves five stars without exception.
Hookah simply put, consists of a combination of washed out natural tobacco (to reduce the tannin which can overpower taste), molasses of various flavors (which is what gives you the special tastes of watermelon, lemon-​mint, guava, etc.) and various standard SPMA oils.
Point-​being, when hot charcoals are applied, the juices mixed in with the tobacco releases the vapors which brings you the overall flavorful experience.
Here’s a little science behind your hookah: whenever the charcoal dies down, so too does the active agents in the tobacco that makes hookah work. It also crystallizes. So when the ‘narra’ fire boys come around too late with the charcoals, it not only has to restart the chemical fusion process via thermodynamic heat fusion application, but a good part of your tobacco is already unusable due to the crystallization factor. This effects the taste and time/​lasting durability therein. I.e., prolonged replacement your charcoal replacement intervals, ensures it burns out quicker with a guaranteed repugnant taste, but who am I to judge — maybe your into repugnant.
One of the things I appreciate most from Cloudz, is the fact that it is one of a handful of places around the world, that have understood that constant & prompt charcoal service is key to good hookah. Frequent charcoal service makes tasty & lasting hookah which in turn makes a happy customer and this is never a factor at Cloudz. Most places, when asked for more charcoal, respond with agitation as if they are doing you a favor.
Matter of fact, whenever I’ve had ANY issue with my hookah, the owner «Z» has never hesitated to replace my bowl.
This, in addition to some really unique savory (copy-​written) mixes Cloudz holds, are two of the major factors that keeps bringing me back to this place with gusto.
Other factors include the environment (CLEAN BATHROOMS), comfy couches that allow me to sit in my preferred lotus-​style comfort position while working on my laptop, which brings me to the internet — I’ve never had an issue. I work online all the time. I stopped going to another location where I couldn’t access my remote VPN server due to connectivity issues; this is a kill zone for my patronage for anywhere I go.
Nevertheless, I enjoy Cloudz enough to drive on a near-​daily basis from San Ramon for my full gratification. So if you appreciate hookah for more than simply having a high-​ratio of mindless teeny-​bopper count, then this will also be the place for you too.

If you are looking for a chill spot and you like to hookah, this is the place for you.
I have been here 3 times now and this place has never failed me. I heard about this place via Unilocal and I was curious to try it out. I usually like to hookah during the weeknights because it never is too crowded.
One night, I decided to hit up my friends and I told them that this place was new and that they have this cool Fumo hookah that I wanted to try out. My friends agreed and we went to Cloudz that night.
I am really bad with name but this guy helped us out when we got there. He was really knowledgeable about the hookah and he helped up pick out a flavor. He also explained what a Fumo is and how it differs from different hookah sets. He told us that Cloudz is one of the few places that does and sells Fumos. We got the Gabby’s mix (they won’t tell you what they put in it but it ended up being pretty good) and my friends got the 69’er.
I got to say, smoking out of a Fumo is so much better than smoking out of a regular set. I think the price was reasonable too. It’s only $ 29 for the Fumo set and to refill the flavor is $ 9. We ended up refilling after a while and we got different flavors but I don’t remember what our second round of flavors was.
The staff here is really friendly. They always check up on you or tell you about the hookah set.
I would definitely recommend this place! This has become my favorite hookah spot
BTW: They have happy hour from 4 – 7 everyday! $ 25 for Fumo and $ 5 refill!!!

Very relaxing atmospher. My girlfriend and I had a very nice time smoking the fumo glass hookah.
We were there on a Saturday night around 10 p.m.
Plenty of parking on the street.

Mellow and chill during the week. Fun and exciting during the weekend!

I been going to this lounge since the 3^rd day it opened. One of the best places I came across to on Unilocal. (How I found out about this place) This place was easy to find and parking isn’t bad at all. This lounge is pretty modern, clean and spacious. My top flavors is Mint Chocolate Chip & Shadi’s Mix and currently Bastard Lemon Mint. I rarely change up my flavors. Customer service is great, they come by frequently to change coals and ask how we’re doing. It’s $ 15 for happy hour and $ 5 refill. After happy hour, it goes back to normal San Jose Hookah lounge pricing. They have pretty good music. They have Fumo hookahs and regular hookahs. I have been back way too many times to this lounge that, I know for a fact they play the same playlists. lol. (They changed it up now)
After coming here for about as many times as I have check in, this place is by far my new favorite spot, they always pack it perfectly, I never have to call them over to fix the hookah, and the bowl lasts forever.
Other hookah lounges, need to get lessons from this place. No joke. I tried every single lounge in San Jose, was a regular to some of the lounges. After coming to cloudz I refuse to go back to any of the other lounges.
& I also bought a personal hookah hose from them, brand is The Heavy Hitter, and hits great: D If I can come to the lounge every single day, I so would! Currently I come to cloudz just about every single day. As a girl, it can be sketch going to «nightlife» locations alone but I been here alone a handful of times. Bring my laptop and do some work. Have Arabic tea or a coke and smoke.
This is my go-​to spot for hookah with great ambience, music, crowd, hookah, and customer service. Def. On point!
