Finally tried this place out after hearing how good their burritos and tacos are. I have to say I am very disappointed… I ordered 4 carne asada tacos which was ok and a super carne asada burrito with no rice. Well guess what? My burrito came with rice anyways and it was nothing super about it. I have never had a burrito that was so dry and lacking flavor. They didn’t put any salsa or sour cream in my «Super burrito» not to mention my burrito had over 50% of rice in it. Overall I feel like this was a waste of my money and will not be returning here.

This place continues to be the bomb! Chicken quesadilla is as good as I remember from the 1990s. I’d put this up against the taquerias in SoCal! If you like fries in your burritos, then you won’t like this place. This is not for the person who thinks lucha libre in San Diego is a good spot.

Been going here for years… about 10 to be exact. lol The same owners all this time and there quick greasy flavorful quesadillas and tacos will cure anything from a cold to a hangover! :D Must try — even if it isnt your usual eats ;) Dont be frightened by the awkward location and the limited parking. I would go during the week if its your fist time. ;)

Have you ever had good tacos out of a liquor store? This is the low low SHARKCITY underground DMV chum spot. Down the street from dmv and outside looks ghetto but, look past the urinated walls, bums panhandling, and ghetto hood it’s in. Super tacos are addicting and don’t get me started on their lengua… DROOOOLS! Never bought anything other than quesidillas, super burritos, tacos, and super tacos all keep me returning when I’m in the area and need a snack for my Unilocal compartment.

This place has the best regular carne asana burrito around. I found it by mistake in 1999 and have been going there ever since. I live over an hour away from this place but whenever I’m in town and in the area it’s like a treat to go there. In the last 15 years they’ve gone through several different chefs but the food still stays the same. That is a recipe for success! And if you get the chicken quesadillas, prepared to be full because it is huge… Messy but huge! Good job!

I’m a Menudo connoisseur. The best in Santa Clara county as for price best bang for your buck. Weekends only they always sellout early.

You would never think to get yummy food at a hole in the wall liquor store, but that’s just what you get when ordering here! One of our family favorites for 18+ years now! It’s always been my hope that they would move locations and actually get a small dine-in restaurant but I don’t think that will happen any time soon. So as long as they are around this will be one of our main spots for great carne asada tacos! Yum!

Late night taco spot. It’s open until 2 am Thursday-sat. All of their meats are super juicy with lots of flavor. Their tacos are super legit as well as their burritos. But their secret is their quesadillas.

This place is the cancer of this community. It attracts the shadiest elements of the surrounding areas. A constant gathering place of loud, drunk, often criminal people that use surrounding lawns and trees to crap and pee and litter on. There are often very loud fights and other disturbances. I bet the SJ police has drawers of incidents associated with this place. Please don’t support this business. It makes the surrounding neighborhood a much more dangerous and and undesirable place to live. just last night several neighbors walked out of their homes because the yelling was so loud to see what looked like the owner in a brawl with some other people. Cops showed up, etc. just another night. Also, the one time I tried the burrito it was all sinewy. Not sure if I just happened on a bad batch of meat.

This is one of the best Taqueria I have been to. Open until 2AM. Prices are super cheap and the food is perfectly flavored. I had the veggie torta — bread was crispy, beans, avocado and the veggies perfectly seasoned and toasted. Yummy! Friend who lives in the neighborhood swears by their burrito and their tacos.

Get the super burrito! So, from the outside it looks like a run down liquor store. When you walk in its still nothing special, you can’t even tell they sell food. As you turn to the left you see a window with the cook, grillin’ up some grub! You order, go to the register and pay. Then wait a few minutes till your order is ready. The super burrito comes with your choice of meat, beans, cheese, avocado, and sour cream. I think rice to but I always delete it. One bite of this and you will be back again and again.

Best tacos ever! Jalapeño is roasted now: I liked it better fresh. Nice and spicy with the lemon :)

These guys are solid. Super friendly, always ready to help. They have a decent selection of beer considering their a very small store and they have THEBEST al pastor tacos i have ever had… which i would have never expected from a place like this. totally legit.

Legit. Get the burrito — better value. One burrito $ 4.98 has more meat than 4 tacos($ 8). Asada was awesome. Chicken is not grilled — might be braised white meat. Pack the heater.

Old school spot on Alma Ave., I used to frequent this place back in the day for beers and burritos when I would kick it with the homies from Westside. It’s been a long time since I kicked it in the neighborhood, it’s been years since I had a beer… so I figured I would stop in and see if the burritos are as good as I remember them. Chunky avacado in the Super Burrito, good size for the money. Hella cheesy, toasty tortilla and savory spanish rice. Squirt the lime juice all over, bite and repeat. It’s a good burrito, quick and affordable. Nothing crazy, but worth stopping in for if you are in the area. Pay at the register and give your ticket to the guy cooking, that’s the science of the situation.
