Visited Elva’s for the first time over the weekend and loved it! Elva herself took our order and she was nothing short of warm and sweet, along with the rest of her staff. We had planned to work at Elva’s for a short while so we ordered a Bulletproof(coconut oil & butter coffee) and my boyfriend got the Snickerdoodle Frappé(or frapp-ey as he likes to pronounce it). Unfortunately I didn’t like the Bulletproof as much as I thought I would — the coconut oil taste was stronger than the other flavors — but they have so many drinks I’m looking forward to trying something else. I had a sip of the Snickerdoodle Frappé and it was sinfully delicious! We also tried the cubano and it was… cubombo! Like that? But really, the bread was toasted to perfection and the sandwich was clean and flavorful, and Elva served it to us on separate plates without me even telling her we were sharing. She also ran and grabbed us napkins. Talk about fantastic customer service! My only thing is that the shop is a little noisy to concentrate or do tedious work, she’s a popular gal so you’ll hear a lot of friendly chatter and the machines going off. Grab a pair of solid headphones though and you should be set!

If the iconic bar Cheers had a coffee shop equivalent, this is it! Was a bit early for my art class next door so I popped in for an Americano. Right away I could tell that this place is a gem. The woman behind the counter(who I later discovered is Elva) greeted me happily and with a familiarity that was so sincere despite her not knowing me. As I sipped my delicious Americano(with a great crema!), I witnessed customer after customer come in, greeted by name. Elva’s Coffee Stop is the kind of place you leave feeling better about the world.

Fantastic family owned coffee shop! My first experience left a great impression, Elva was so warm & friendly as if we knew her for years. They have an extensive coffee list with many sweet & traditional espresso drinks. I opted for the Mexican mocha & hubs went for a pumpkin spice latte. I was pleasantly surprised that the mocha wasn’t overly sweet & the perfect amount of spice. Hubs pumpkin spice latte was also really good. If you’re in the neighborhood, give them a try!

I absolutely love this place!!! They make amazing food, great drinks and the BEST Red Bull Smoothies! I love the environment and the people, I’ve gone in only a few times and they know me by name now. It’s nice to go to a business who know you by name and appreciate you. I will be going here a lot more often! Thank you guys for being awesome!

After 41 years of searching I have finally found menudo that is as close to how my parents from Arizona cooked this specialty. In a word Elva’s is awesome. And by the way the coffee is out of this world.

Great coffee shop. We will come back. Honestly didn’t know this place was here. But now we are going to. change our route to work to stop by here in the morning. Am going to try the sandwiches or burritos next.

Never knew this coffee shop existed before going next door to get a few pairs of shoes repaired. I stopped in initially because I saw a picture of a Mexican Mocha in the window and had to try it. It didn’t disappoint, the mocha had a light chocolately, cinnamon flavor. They also had bulletproof coffee. I wasn’t planning to write a review but I had the bulletproof coffee yesterday before running errands and it was yummy! If you’re not familiar with bulletproof coffee, it is coffee with coconut oil(or MCT oil) and butter. Elva’s version has nuts blended into their bulletproof coffee, they will ask you before adding the nuts so if you have any nut allergies, you shouldn’t be concerned. This trio is blended together with the coffee and it creates a creamy coffee without dairy. Bulletproof coffee is popular in the paleo diet and it’s supposed to boost your metabolism plus give you tons of energy. I’m a huge fan and since I was out of cold brew, I had the perfect excuse to try their version. When they served it to me it was initially too hot so one of the girls gave me a second cup, poured some into it and swirled it around to help it cool off. I had 2 cups of coffee and was able to drink one right away… bonus! Thanks ladies for getting my Sunday off to a great start!

Elva’s is a great if you’re looking for someplace to grab a quick coffee or bite to eat. Positioned in the middle of curtner and Lincoln, it is in the middle of Willow Glen and is incredible convenient. The shop owner and staff are very courteous and know a lot of the customers that come in regularly. I had their cubano sandwich and it was really good. Nicely toasted and a simple, tasty sandwich. Their blueberry muffins are fantastic as well if you want to pair a snack with your coffee. I certainly recommend this place. Go take a look yourself!

I had no idea I hadn’t reviewed this great little spot! I love Elva’s. Truly LOVE this place. I stop in as often as I can(before 2pm peeps!) and get an Americano. Her coffee is good. Her baked goods are great. And the breakfast burritos are to DIE for(I often ask for a cup of the bacon filling since I can’t have tortillas anymore… she’s do it if you get their early enough!) But aside from the offerings for your palate and tummy, Elva’s also offers some wonderful hospitality for your heart and soul. Elva is there almost every day, making drinks, handling the food case, taking orders, and chatting with everyone coming in. She and her family run a great establishment that has all the warmth of Mama’s kitchen:) Stop at Elva’s. You won’t be disappointed.

Let me start off by saying they are super nice every time I go there, very welcoming all around. I have zero complaints about the staff. Now my star rating is based on 2 years of random visits. I am reviewing the food, because that’s the bottom line from our perspective. It’s very convenient for us, so we keep giving it another try. The breakfast burritos… Well I keep getting them for the convenience factor only. I don’t mind potatoes, but they are as others said 80% potato. A tad on the pricy side for what you get, but I willingly return if I’m running late. Snicker doodle latte… Yuck. When I looked inside my cup, there was oil pooled on top of the milk. It made me sick. Gross. Green tea latte… Pretty damn good. I will most likely get this again… But I just barely tried it last week. Empanadas… Guava was very good! Mango really disappointed my son, he said it tasted really dry and had little filling, just crust. Possible hit or miss item? Oreos with pancakes cooked on… I liked them. Iced chai tea… I’m not sure what was going on in my cup for this concoction. I have been watching my sugar and caffeine intake, so an iced chai sounded good. There was so much sugar and ?? In that tiny cup I couldn’t drink it. I’m not sure if they put cinnamon or what in there… But it had everything I wasn’t expecting. I was sad… I had to stop at SB near my work for what I wanted. Breakfast panini sandwiches… Zero taste. Honestly I didn’t think this was possible since it’s just bread, meat, cheese and egg. But I barely got mine down because I was hungry and my son brought his for lunch and said he tossed it because it was«gross mommy». Lunch sandwiches… Nothing special. Lunch meat was flat and rectangular from a package. It was still good, but SUPER generic. I was hungry, they were in route… It served its purpose. They have an overpriced assortment of items that can be purchased at Safeway or any bulk store. Pastries all seem store bought with inflated prices. When I’m in a hurry, I happily pay. They do have a tip line on the credit card receipt that always makes me feel guilty so I add a few dollars. I presume I’m paying for their kindness on a stressed morning. Overall, yes… I will continue to randomly stop by. But I don’t go because any one particular item pulls me in. I always struggle with what to order, but it always gets me through the morning. I was recommended the red bull smoothie, so I guess I’ll try that out at some point.

Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. The place was clean and not crowded. The coffee was good and the burrito was big for the small price. The roll was a little old and tasted hard. Everything else was good. Please don’t review this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you’re connected in any way to the owner or employees.

Stopped by for a quick study. Decided to try their homemade protein bar. It was okay, nothing to spectacular. Good size bar though. Maybe I was expecting it to taste different. Reminded me of that no baked oatmeal cookies with less peanut butter, along with tastes of dried raisins, cranberries, peanuts, and apples. I would return to try their coffee cake and their lattes!

5÷2÷15: Just had one of the best smoothies of my entire life here!(And one of the most expensive and plain panini’s ever too…) 1. POG Red Bull Smoothie(~$ 5… forgot): Yes, a REDBULL smoothie!!! So in heaven! The POG I think is passion fruit /guava /and something else. So, basically a tropical mix. But gawd… blended up with Red Bull, ice, and whatever other amazing stuff they put in there… so cold and delicious. Love it! 10⁄10. 2. Turkey Panini(~$ 8.50?): Yeah, rounded would be ~$ 9, which would be quite a lot for such a simple sandwich. You get 2 pieces of thin sliced bread(but good bread) with some slices of processed turkey, and lots of cheese. The bread is very buttery and toasted perfectly. But still, it’s a crazy amount for a very standard-issue sandwich, no matter how perfectly made. I mean, it’s not like they’re using freshly baked turkey or anything – just the cheap stuff. I recommend one of their cheaper sandwiches unless you don’t care about value. Taste: 7/10, but normalized by cost: 4⁄10. As for the coffee, my gf loves coming here cause of the very local feel(the cashier, Elva?, seems to know the names of just about everyone that walked through the door, even the little kids)… she always gets a latte. But I’d have to say, there’s too much milk in the latte and it’s not that flavorful. So, bottom-line, the sandwiches are stupid overpriced, the coffee is just okay, but the Red Bull smoothies are where it’s at! I think taste-wise I’d give them a 3, but it certainly is a charming place and the people, both customers and workers are all very nice, so I think it’s still a good place to come. 4⁄5. #smoothie #coffee #panini #breakfastsandwich #breakfast #redbull

For the record this is my first Unilocal review. So this is a big deal! Lol Coffee lovers I highly recommend it! This little place is so full of love towards their customers. Elva herself brings the food to you and introduces herself. As I was watching her, I couldnt help but notice she has a relationship with nearly every customer that walked in. Now that is service! Lovely to see her passion. Lots of business owners don’t focus in having a relationship with their customers. Coming from a business background couldn’t help but give her business credit for the right reasons. The food is great. But the service is a blessing to others. Great way to start your Sunday before church.

I was getting my suitcase repaired next door and I saw Elva’s was right next door, so I decided to grab breakfast there. The staff was super nice and the regulars seem to know them, but 6 plus dollars for a breakfast burrito that was 80% potatoes, 15% egg and 5% bacon?! Maybe I’ll go back for lunch to see if the food is any better. I love to support local businesses, but I don’t think I can help this place. bb

Pancake covered Oreocookies?! Fresh off the oven daily! Okay because of that, this quaint little joint is crazy insane. It’s lovely it’s perfect and very very welcoming. My cousin got a Peppermint Mocha she says it’s way smoother than starbucks. Her son got that ludicrous Pancake Cookie — what are these people thinking? God help me! Their milk is only 2 percent so take note they do not have whole milk. My son got a sugar donut and he’s very happy, probably sugar happy but it’ll do for now. Gorgeous shop 5 stars. By the way, this place is hidden between a nail spa and a shoe repair so don’t miss it!
