This is my all time favorite boba place! Although sometimes their service may be a little lacking their drinks are always really good. I always order the passion fruit tea with white pearls instead of the regular ones. If you are in the area and craving boba you should definitely come check this place out!

I remember seeing gong cha in Taiwan and Singapore so I was very excited to find one here, the don’t have as many toppings as share tea(the have real red bean) and their drinks are ok. I had the early grey milk tea. Give sharetea a try, would be curious what others think.

I’ve never been to this Gong Cha location before. It is located inside a mall situated like a stall more than a store. I ordered the milk green tea with pearls, my boyfriend ordered the lychee oolong tea with pearls, and his brother got the brown sugar milk tea with pearls. All of the drinks tasted good and the pearls were good as well. I was kind of hesitant to get the pearls here because the pearls at the Lundy Gong Cha tasted funny last time I ordered it. The service here is fast and friendly. Ask for a stamp card — 10 stamps gets you a free drink on your next visit!

Been here a few times before. My visit before this one, I ordered a green tea but got a black tea instead. Today, I ordered a Thai iced tea with pearl. They asked how much ice I wanted which caught me by surprise. Not boba places ask you that. Anyways, I answered with«50%». When I got my drink, it was cold but had no ice. The Thai tea itself was good, wasn’t too strong. It met my taste expectations.

White pearl is amazing. Price: Look to spend about $ 5 for a drink. I think Gong Cha is one of the few places I can justify boba for $ 5 just because they have delicious white pearl. Parking: large lot Food: I personally just go for white pearl with oolong 0% sweet, 50% ice. I don’t like my drinks sweet but I love the crunch from the white pearl. Their milk foam teas are also very yummy. Notes:Located in the mall. The fries from the falafel shop next door smells amazing.

Our go to pearl tea spot if were in the area. You can find this place located in the West Gate mall. There always seems to be a line, but the drinks come out fast. I’m not a huge fan of these pearl tea drinks but I like that they have the crystal boba here.

I got to try a little bit of several drinks because i came with a group of people. Most of the drinks ordered were from the top 10 ten drinks. I personally ordered the milk foam green tea. It had a weird after taste and the tea was not strong at all it tasted like water with form. Similarly my boyfriend ordered the mango green tea which was also watery, tasted like water with syrup, didn’t even really taste like mango. I also tried some of the winter melon tea with basil seeds, that drink tasted okay but there were big lemon seeds? or something of that sort in the drink which made it hard to enjoy. I also got to try the panda milk tea, i would have to say that was also below average on how milk teas should taste. Overall very disappointed in the drinks at gong cha there are so many better places for boba in the surrounding area.

Gong Cha is awesome. The two best parts about this one are: 1) It is inside Westgate Mall. Previously there weren’t very many food/beverage options around this place that were worth going to, but I was quite happy getting Gong Cha and sipping on boba while shopping at Target. It’s about time there was a decent boba spot in the area. 2) You can customize ice and sweetness level. One of the major complaints that I’ve had about other boba spots are that it comes with too much ice or that it is too sweet. At Gong Cha, be prepared to customize to your liking — I usually go with 50% ice, 50% sugar, and it is perfect for me. Thankful Gong Cha is here to satisfy the milk tea cravings #bobalyfe

First time here! I must say, it was pretty delicious. I always have trouble with the sugar levels of milk teas– always too much sugar, too much milk, and not enough tea! Really easy to read menu, clear directions for how to order and they even gave me a sample of the white pearls when I wondered out loud what the difference between that and regular black pearls were. I ended up getting the Milk Foam green tea(I hope I got that right) with no ice(too cold out), 30% sugar, and grass jelly. I could ACTUALLY taste the tea flavor and the grass jelly was ONPOINT! I would totally get this drink again(maybe even with 50% sugar too!). I got the bf a earl grey milk tea and he devoured it. My friends for the Cookies and Cream Milk Foam with panda jelly(black and white pearls) and thats a regular for them. I guess I’ll need to try that next time! I would recommend trying the white pearls– they’re actually really interesting textured and are based off kelp so less calories!

Not the best Gong Cha. This is the closet Gong Cha to where I live and their quality seems to be going down. I’ve loved Gong Cha ever since having it in China years ago, and this one just doesn’t compare. I always get one of the drinks from the milk foam series. The last time I got this, the tea was watered down. Also, they didn’t give much milk foam which was disappointing. Definitely would recommend another pearl milk tea place.

My go-to drinks: brown sugar oolong tea(hot or cold), earl grey milk tea with 3J(grass jelly, pudding and boba), matcha milk foam with oolong tea, or just milk foam ooloong tea :) The line can get really long on weekends or evenings(parking becomes problematic as well because its inside the Westgate mall). They have a punch/sticker card for a free drink(up to $ 3.50) every 10 drinks, so make sure to ask for one if they don’t offer. Also, if you don’t sip the milk foam separately from your drink, ask them to seal the cup instead to prevent spills. Price is comparable to most other boba/tea places around and the taste is average. The tea flavor isn’t particularly strong, but I think their milk foam is pretty good when mixed into the tea. Also, you can’t adjust sweetness level for brown sugar drinks, so they tend to be a tad too sweet for me.

WHY I WENTHERE: — the closest Gong Cha location to where I live CRITICISM: — it isn’t as consistent as other Gong Cha locations are in terms of freshness of the boba itself, or the taste/sweetness of the milk tea ordered — the only reason why I come here is for my brown sugar milk tea, regardless if it’s amazing or mediocre

Went with the mango smoothie with boa. Was good but I should have gotten it the sweetest it comes. I’m American– how am I supposed to get my diabetes with just average sweetness?

I’m a huge fan of the Gong Cha in Fremont, so when we heard there was one opening closer to us, and so near to the Rack that I shop at, I was super excited. Gong Cha chains generally shine in my book over the typical chain milk tea place because they offer real brewed teas. I also really like the sea salt milk foam version of milk teas, as opposed to the«milk» part being achieved via non-dairy creamer. My favorite is the milk foam oolong tea! However, this Gong Cha is not as good as the one in Fremont. Their teas are not as flavorful, a little more water-down. Nevertheless, convenience is a plus, so we still stop here when we’re shopping in the area! TLDR: Teas aren’t as good as Fremont, but will do if you’re already there.

Lines here tend to get long. but don’t worry, they move quickly! Service is prompt and nothing special– they take your order real quick and onto the next. which is a good thing to keep those long lines moving I guess I had the standard pearl milk tea here with 25% ice and 30%(lowest level) of sweetness. I usually don’t like pearl milk teas much just because they’re usually too sweet and overwhelming for me. but the 30% sweetness here was just perfect! The boba was also perfectly chewy. I’ve also tried the clear boba here… and it’s very interesting. I thought it’d be like the normal boba but clear,. but it’s actually crunchy! I also hear that it’s healthier too. so yay for healthier alternatives when getting boba?

Glad this place came to the San Jose area! I’d say it’s one of the more authentic milk tea places around, and I’ve never been disappointed. When you order, they’ll ask you for your preference of ice levels and sweetness, so if you’re anything like me and don’t like your drink too sugary, there’s no such thing as forgetting to ask for half sugar! I’ve been really liking the Milk Foam Wintermelon Tea with boba! I’d say that they don’t have as extensive of a menu as other places, but I really do like what they offer. Also, if you’re a first timer, note that this place is just a counter inside Westgate Mall right near the main entrance next to Smashburger and the sushi restaurant, not a stand alone shop. Don’t make the same mistake I did and just circle around the outside of the mall…

This is probably my new favorite boba place in NorCal. I tried the milk foam green tea with pearls and it was so good! I would recommend going with their 50% sugar level… the 100% is way too sweet. You can also choose your ice level, and it isn’t all or nothing! They go up in 25% increments. I usually go with 25% ice. The drink still stays cold but doesn’t water down as much. I haven’t been getting milk tea as much lately because I find that it’s a bit too heavy for my stomach. So the milk foam in the green tea I got here was like the perfect balance. I was able to get a little bit of that milk flavor without it being too heavy. The foam texture is nice! I thought it went really well with the rest of the drink. The pearls here are the best! The texture is just right in terms of chewiness. All in all, it’s a really solid boba place. The only reason for the –1 star is the price – it’s a bit more expensive than most boba places I’ve been to. But I guess for the quality, it is worth it.

Gongcha is so good. My favorite is Taro milk tea with their awesome White Pearls. I’m not an expert on milk teas but this White Pearls are my chew toy if I’m a dog :) it’s just that good. This location is busy in spurts. I’m lucky both times that it got busy after my arrival. Service is pretty good. Fast and always right on the money. Tons of chairs to sit and relax while you consume your very own favorite tea. If you haven’t been here this is close to the entrance between Starbucks and JCrew.

A great boba chain in NorCal. Gong Cha is pretty well known around here and for a good reason, their quality for their teas is pretty good. I like that you can control the ice level and also the sweetness levels of your drink. The flavor of the tea is so good and the boba was good too. During their opening weekend, I would have given this place five stars, but recently the quality has not lived up to those standards. Still, that will not stop me from choosing Gong Cha over other bland places like Quickly or TapEx. Overall, it’s a fantastic addition to Westgate. I am now just waiting to see how consistent they will be when producing their drinks.
