I love french fries and the Smashfries here are a must. I could just eat them all day longg.

Fries are ANOREXIC! I’m talking about ¼ the size of my pinky finger. They’re so thin, toothpicks are going to feel threatened about being out of a job. Not only that, they are chewy and way too salty. Maybe the amount of salt was intended for their fatter fry cousins at other establishments. I’ve never been so disappointed in a fry. .. I may need therapy. The chicken burger was okay, but if you’re expecting a thick, juicy slab of chicken breast, think again. This chicken was hammered out to about ¼″ thick and so long it hung off the end of the bun by about 2″. Maybe it was intended to match the anorexic chicken? Or is this place called Smashburger because they smash the living crap out of the meat? That would explain things. Either way, I don’t think this place is for me. I’ll stick to The Habit or The Counter.

Fast service, friendly staff and great food. The milkshakes are to die for & the modern interior is comforting.

So we’ve been here a couple of times, this location and the Coleman location. I liked how this is located inside the mall, very convenient. Our usuals: truffle mushroom swiss(burger or crispy chicken), bbq bacon cheddar(burger or crispy chicken), smash fries(can be extremely oily. wipe down with napkins!), haystack onions, fried pickles, and their milkshakes!!! Line is as slow as it gets at Smashburger. but after you order, the food comes out quick!

The food isn’t bad, but it’s not the best burgers I’ve ever eaten either. Smashburger reminded me of The Habit, but sadly didn’t bring the same flavor in the burgers. Everything did come out quick and fresh which was nice and the fried pickles weren’t bad, but for the price I felt like the burgers were on the smaller size and the overall meal was just alright.

Honestly I couldn’t wait to try this place but when I got my order I was disappointed my sweet potato fries didn’t look appetizing it didn’t look freshly cook and the burger wasn’t all that I’d rather go to InNOut or make my own burger it was so plain it had one small piece of lettuce omg… my homemade turkey taste even better than what I had order here. I ordered the Avocado club Grilled chicken and it looked small for a large size my family ordered 4 trays and spent $ 44 dollar and it was not worth it… like I said InNOut is alot better than this place seriously.

I was HANGRY with a massive headache and low blood sugar when my guy suggested we stop our horrible afternoon of errands for a well deserved break. This placed used to be Johnny Rockets and I know everyone else likes them but I thought they were greasy so I really wasn’t into getting a burger here. The menu surprised me, burgers, chicken, SALADS, kids menu(that didn’t look crappy) beer and Haagen Das milk shakes! Service: The cashier knew it was our first time so we got the rosemary fries free and a ton of coupons, she was so nice and helpful we didn’t expect to have a good experience at a burger joint but we were impressed. Food: BIG burger, egg bun, onion strings and fries– it was fresh and fantastic! The onion strings were crazy good I ate them off of his burger before he got to them: o(def have to order a side of them next time. Crispy Chicken sandwich– chicken was good, egg bun was great, fresh toppings, very happy. I’m more of a steak fry person so I didn’t expect to like these itty bitty fries but they were pretty good. I wasn’t a fan of the rosemary/olive oil fries. I left feeling a lot better and satisfied with lunch: o)

Loved the online ordering system. Hubs and I were in a rush, so we placed our order online, double parked for a moment, rushed in the sign for our food and was back on the road in less than 5 minutes. My only qualm with the online ordering system is that there is no good description of the food on the ordering system. I had to have multiple windows open on my phone to figure out what was what. Got the truffle mushroom burger. Didn’t come with lettuce or tomato. Otherwise, the truffle flavor was noticeable and the burger was an ok size. The smashburger fries are delicious though!!! Tossed with rosemary and garlic. Yum, my hubs ate the whole order himself. Sadness. Next time, I’m trying the chicken burger to see how it is.

I only came here a handful of times, but its always been kinda mediocre. The location is nice though. It’s outside westgate mall and it has a pretty patio outside as well as Gong Cha(milk tea) and Starbucks next door if you’re not craving own of their milkshakes. I’ve gotten the … –Bay burger(beef). It has arugula, mushrooms and truffle mayo. I was hungry that day, and i felt like it barely filled me up! And i’m a small person. I’m not sure what it was. The mushrooms were great though and perfect if youre looking for a more healthy option. –Classic smash. In my opinion, this is your best option. Typical burger, all american meat cheese lettuce tomato kinda meal. –grilled chicken Buffalo Blue cheese is great… if you really really like blue cheese. I like a hint of it, but this was strong. The pairing of the bbq and cheese are very overwhelming. It is delicious the first few bites, but it gets pretty salty and too much for my taste. Smash fries: GETTHEM! they’re so good and remind me of yardhouse fries with the garlic and rosemary. Smash burger is okay for the price and quality. I think the different pairings on the menu are the reason why its a bit pricier, its like a cheaper version of red robins. Their milkshakes are delicious though. Place is pretty laidback, but when there are more customers, i always feel rushed

I love the bbq bacon and cheddar. This location is always busy for the most part because its in a mall. Staff is usually nice and the outdoor seating is pretty cool.

Yummy burgers and good service. This smash burger is located inside the westgate mall and is perfect to grab a quick lunch while shopping. After the mommy and me event last week we ended up at smash burger. I ordered the bay burger with chicken. I have had the bay with both beef and chicken and both were delicious. The chicken was nice and juicy. There was a strong truffle flavor. They could have been more generous with the arugula. Sweet potato fries were nice and crispy.

Food can be quite inconsistent. When it’s good, it’s fantastic, but when it’s bad, we get soggy fries. But we come here quite often because I prefer smashburgers to five guys and other burger joints nearby. I’d recommend bay smash chicken(with grilled chicken) and smash fries(best fries in this area!). Their shakes are also pretty delicious. Online order system is down a lot on mobile and they don’t take phone orders.

My 3rd go at smash burger and even a different location. This chain has to be arguably the worst burger joint ever. Sloppy burgers and service is horrendous. Food is not even praise worthy — not understanding the reviews.

Hubby came home tonight handing me a white paper bag with a burger from Smashburger. The patty is thicker and the veggies are fresh. The bread was able to hold everything well. Taste wise its better than McD. It was greasy to eat late this night as I was munching away. but I didn’t care… food is a blessing better eaten warm. I can’t review the place where they got this so I will keep this brief… a 2.5 until I get to set my foot in the source.

I’m really surprised at myself. I eat out quite often and I had not made it over to a Smashburger until quite recently. I like them more than any other fast food burger chain. Yep. I like them better than Five Guys, In and Out, The Habit, even most restaurant burgers. Slightly charred, slightly crunchy, slightly juicy, with lots of different sauces and toppings to choose from. Smashburger, you have won my heart this Valentine’s Day.

Decided to grab some lunch from here and boy was this place packed! Ordered the classic smash burger with fries to go for about $ 8. Nice soft egg bun, american cheese, fresh lettuce, tomatoes and onions on a hefty piece of nicely cooked and juicy beef patty, yum! The small burger was more than enough for me. The fries are the super thin ones, really crispy just how I like them. The«smash sauce» that’s in the burger is a combination of mustard with other stuff. I normally hate the taste of mustard and as soon as I opened up my burger I thought I wasn’t gonna be able to eat it, however the mustard flavor is very subtle so you can’t really taste it too much. Overall, I thought this place was good and I’d definitely come back.

My co-worker took me here for the first time yesterday(11/13/2014) and I was in for a pelasant surprise! The food is a tad expensive, however, the quality is where this place gets it’s points! Starting with the service, the cashier gal was a blonde caucasian gal that was actually really friendly, and seemed to really enjoy working there. She always had a smile on here face, and kept a very cheerful attitude. She helped me pick what I wanted rather quick which was really nice since I was on my lunch break. Once we all got seated, we didn’t have to wait too long for our food to be brought to our table. I got the BBQ Bacon Cheddar burger, big size with a side of sweet potato fries. The burger was pretty big with onions, BBQ sauce, and cheddar cheese. I took a nice big bite out of my burger and absolutely enjoyed it! The meat patty wasn’t cooked and cooked well, the onions and cheese all meshed perfectly with the BBQ sauce, and I had found myself smilling like a kid in a candy store. The fries were also really good. I got a side of ranch and found myself enjoying that as well. My co-worker got a milkshake there which I got to try and THAT was really flippin’ good! Overall; really good service, really good quality food, and fair prices. I’ll be back Smashburger!

Well SMASHMESILLY! Starting to feel like Smashburger’s superb quality is consistent everywhere which keeps me coming back for sure! Although I love the foods, I’m not too crazy about the service at this Saratoga location. The last couple times I decided to visit around lunch time, the line was to the door, yikes! There were plenty of customers already seated and a few more waiting around for their orders. Decidedly, I ordered the Bay Burger with Smashstyle Sweet Potato fries! I’ve literally tried 90% of their burgers due to a prior YEE tasting event and I gotta say, nothing beats the sweet succulent arugula-filled, truffle mayo, Swiss cheesin’, mushroom pumpin’, ciabatta sandwich godliness! The foods were excellent per usual, and even with the busy lunch rush, quality did not deter at all. Bravo! Our cashier, Jessica, was super sweet and worked diligently. She was literally(wo)manning the front– taking orders, making drinks, and helping out occasionally with calling out and sorting orders. I understand lunch time is busy so I didn’t mind the wait(probably 20 — 30 minutes in total of waiting in line till I got my order). But the general manager, Lucy, was absolutely scary! I’ve never seen a more anxious, neurotic authoritative figure working in a restaurant. Poor Lucy! It was like the end of the world for her. She was in charge of mainly calling out the orders and heeding to whatever requests the customers flagged her down for. The problem was that while she was trying to micromanage everything and chaotically coordinating her employees, she was very apparent in being stressed out and every time she spoke, it was like a wolf’s exasperated huff in attempt to blow down the Smashburger house. Like I said, it was unappealing and scary. Maybe Lucy needs a break or to calm down? Kudos that she works very hard, but man, my brother and I were frightened for sure. It was a definite contrast seeing this GM versus the other local and regional managers. Maybe it was a bad day in service but I always advocate that a happy, healthy employee makes a business thrive moreso(which is evident in the many reviews noting service).

So it’s been 7 months since our last attempt to try Smashburger and we got a sweet coupon in the mail(free burger w/order of a side and beverage) so off we went. Saturday around 1:30, no line, smelled good, resturant full of happy noisy customers. This might actually be a great experience! After the family in front me placed their order and walked away, I patiently waiting to place my order. Unfortunately the cashier walked away from the register to haggle with the manager over orders coming out the window. HELLO!!! Once she came back and was ready to take my order, her«script» to me was so fake, unfeeling and overly rehearsed. Very robotic. Bummer We ordered: Bacon burger: truly average. Patty lacked flavor and was pretty thin. Bun was nice though. Held up well cuz I hate a soggy bun more than anything. Club Burger: wheat bun, creamy avocado but again, pretty average over all and a bland thin patty. Fried pickles: crispy, not greasy but SUPER salty. Was not a fan at all. Smash fries: super thin cut fries that seemed to be cooked well and I loved the hint of rosemary but these were incredibly greasy. The hubs used at least 5 napkins trying to sop up the oil. Will we be back? Not for burgers but I’d like to try a shake if I’m wondering the mall. Not a memorable burger at all.

What’s up with all these 5 star reviews lately, Sebastian? Well, I just have nice friends that take me to awesome spots, or I just have figured out what’s good. In my case, when it comes to burgers, I’m not going anywhere near any other burger place than Smashburger. You can expect tasty burgers, large salads, crispy fries and delicious(!) milk shakes, all reasonably priced(burgers — around $ 7, salad $ 7, shakes $ 5). The meat they use is super fresh and it’s being«smashed» onto the grill, enriched with seasoning, and cooked to perfection. I’m telling you, it’s a difference you can taste. Their burger creations are spot on — my favorite is the Truffle Mushroom Burger and the BBQ, Bacon & Cheddar burger. You can also create your own burger which is an awesome option. The best thing about this location — it’s spacious, bright, and always super clean. The staff is very friendly and seems to pay a lot of focus on store cleanliness. I love coming here, great spot!
