Han Kee has a pricey menu transliterated also in Vietnamese. not sure if they are vietnamese eats or vietnamese translation of chinese eats. fyi, typical vietnamese entrees i.e. phở, bun, not on the menu. menu: chinese entrees, chinese roasties(deli), «dim sum”-mostly buns, baked items, not steamed ala siu mai, hargow… eats: taro bun(2÷1÷5) –bun mushy, not fluffy, strange tasting ]-filling not pure taro, either faux or a mix with flour, starches. 2.5 stars take outs: –waiters just hanging out, no greeting, grabbed a menu myself to check out offerings –cashier more proactive, «owner» nioved quick to collect my $$ to keep line moving. –pricey eats, lackluster quality makes a return improbable. only return would be for the soups which have good reviews. –tables packed close to each other…

I’ve come here a few times a year with my family, and we like it very much. The noodles are tasty and the service is pretty good. We also by food to go from here ahead of time. Sometimes it’s ready when you ask, sometimes, it’s not. The servers are attentive and they keep the customers happy. The store is kept pretty clean. They often yell in the kitchen so we can hear them in the dining area. the food here is pretty designed for family dining. The plates are big and shareable. My family and I will definitely be coming back. I would highly recommend getting the Han Kee House Special Noodles without broth.

Great selections of dishes and noodles. Consistency is a big problem here in term of quality of food and services. Also beware of ordering bbq dishes for dine in versus togo. They charge you close to full price for dine in(in a smaller portion versus you can get the same thing togo regular price but in a much larger portion). Therefore order it separate as an togo item and just eat it there. Save yourself the money and time it take for them to place it on plate with some light greens and charge you full price for half.

Mi Dac Biet Han Kee is the best on a rainy day! Place is kind of a hole in the wall, but you can’t go wrong with them! A little satay and hoisin sauce and your bowl is ready to be slurped down!

Very old school, very traditional. The food at this place is true from the community. New generations calling this place bland and not as tasty have been eatting too much MSG mono sodium glutamate and do not know how authentic food tastes like.

I used to come here as child frequently with my parents. But as I grew older, the noodle dishes were lacking in flavor. My family loves hu tieu nam vang, hu tieu mi trieu chau! It used to be one of our go to places around 10 years back. Now the food lacks in flavor, less meat and the side broth for the dry rice noodle was bland. But I do still come here for the heo quay(roasted pork)!! The prices are decent and its amazing with the little containers of their special dark sauce. If you order their roasted duck, it’s a total must to get their plum sauce and their dark sauce! Just mix those 2 together and you won’t regret it.

We ordered dinner once via Gesoo. Avoid these: –Fried tofu(doesn’t taste like food at all) –Curry(quality is below the average of Hong Kong curry — from a friend who lived in Hong Kong for 6 years) May want to try this: –Soy sauce chicken

Probably my favorite place in town for salty fish fried rice. There’s really no place that makes it the same way. They use jumbo shrimp in here and they’re not shy about it either! I love pairing this dish with wonton soup. These two dishes just goes so well together. And it’s a lot of food so definitely enough to share with friends. You must get that dish here. Can’t go wrong with it. I would also check out the bbq here too. They have it in the front and you can choose to have it cut and plated right there. This place is small but there’s never been a wait time when I come by. Although parking is such a pain! It’s a really small plaza. I’m not a fan of the services but I don’t really know if it’s just the way they talk in general. I minimize interaction as much as possible. Once I have my food then I’m all good!

Yes, this place is not the cleanest of establishments but the duck noodle soup makes up for it. There is roasted duck noodle soup(mi vit quay) and duck broth noodle soup(mi vit thiem). I have been going here with my family for as long as I could remember. The quality of their noodle soups have been the same. Broth is flavorful and duck is tasty. There are occasions where the duck is too dry but it does not bother me too much. Service here is probably better if you speak Vietnamese or Cantonese. Not necessarily special treatment, just they do not speak English very much or at all so communication might be difficult. You could point to the number you want on the menu of that helps. Yeah, not the cleanest place. Bathroom is also super small and crammed. I do not feel super comfortable going to the bathroom here but if I gotta go, I gotta go. Parking here is quite small. There is some parking in the back but it still is not the largest of parking. Noodle soups are my comfort foods. I live off noooooooodles!

i have been coming here for a loooooooong time. Service has never been good but I have always tolerated it because the food was good. The last couple years I every time I went in here for dinner(usually an hour before they close) everything I try to order other than rice plates or noodles they tell they are out. I ask for banh bot chien. They’re out. Egg rolls? They’re out. Seriously? How is any Asian restaurant out of eggrolls-EVERY SINGLETIME!!! They keep that shit premade in bulk in the freezer. Seems like after a certain time, the cook gets lazy and he’ll only make you what he wants to make you. Everything else is out of stock. Fine. Whatever. I’ll even tolerate this bullshit. The last time I came in to eat a few days ago was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I will never come back here again. I ordered a large sui cao. The lady brings me a small sui cao. I asked her if it was a large or a small. She said it was a small. I told her I ordered a large. The lady who originally took my order was a few tables away and screamed, «That’s a large!» LIAR! I have ordered this many times here and I know how big the large looks like. The lady who took my order realized the kitchen fucked up and instead of trying to fix it, she just straight out lied to me. The crappy service I can deal with. The old, dirty, run down environment, I can deal with. The dishonesty is where I draw the line. A lot Asian restaurants treat their customers like crap because they know we’ll put up with it. Well it’s about time we stop. This is America, and here we conduct ourselves with a little common courtesy. I am so sick of this. I will not be back here. You shouldn’t either. Do not patronize a business that will lie to you.

My family and I been going here for years. I always get the hu tieu; the portion is huge and delicious. The cleanliness is pretty bad but I try not to think about it. There is a lot of room in the restaurant(another room behind the cashier) and a lot of people seem to buy from the BBQ area. We come when the ol’ cravings show up once in a while.

My boyfriend got robbed at gunpoint and they did nothing to help. In fact, the owner snatched the phone out of his hands when he tried to call the police. Shame on you!!!

I give 2 stars for the amount and price. Three for the food. Let’s start with ice tea. I ordered in Cantonese language one ice milk tea. We get Thai tea. I let it go. Them, I ordered Sui Mai thinking I get a decent dim sum… nope. It was 4 frozen ones you can buy from Lions supermarket or 99 Ranch. To the food. Hubby wanted the 3 combo BBQ plate. We did get what we ordered… cha Sui, roast duck and roast pork. Wow, how cheap can they get? I swear there were 3 pieces of duck cut into 1⁄8 inch slivers to fill the plate. Cha Sui was just a small handful and roast duck was about the same. Their BBQ meats tastes very good, just wished they were not so cheap. I mean. it was 5:30 already. As if there will be a hundred more customers come wanting to order the remaining meats at that time of the evening? Also ordered egg and beef over rice and tomatoes beef crispy noodle. The rice dish was a decent size with generous amount of soft guppy eggs. However, the dish was just bland. Hubby had to use hoisin sauce to jazz it up. My chow mein was good as usual. The serving was perfect for me but to a person with large appetites, It would not have been enough. Here’s my gripe. The check comes and it was 44.00. Really? 44.00? I know the combo BBQ plates can be in the amount of $ 13ish but the other two dishes is 10.00 or so? The ice tea and Sui Mai was $ 6.00 so how can out bill come our be this high? The kicker was that the bill had no prices, just chinese characters other than ice tea in English. I tell ya, thinking that I speak Cantonese, I would get better service. No siree… not at Han Kee.

I came here for some roast duck and bread. They advertise that they accept card on the door and on the cash register. However, the woman working kept telling me to pay cash. My purchase was over $ 25 dollars so it’s not about any minimum purchase. I had to use my cash that I had reserved for something else. Are you that afraid to lose a few cents for credit card charging fees? Well, you just lost a customer. Update: Both the duck and bread tasted old. I recommend going a few blocks down to Thanh Huong for these items.

Do eat in this restaurant. I have bee here for several times. The last time I ordered a BBQ duck/chicken over rice to go. There was a man(I guess he is the boss) who was standing there and watching the other workers. When the worker preparing my food, he was keeping saying«less meat, less meat» «more rice more rice». He was saying that in front of me!!! Wth! The workers were so embarrassing but they couldn’t say anything. I didn’t see how less is that until I went back home and open the container with only six pieces of duck and 3 pieces of chicken with a lot of rice!!! And he charge me 10.32 $. Will never come back.

I used to come here as a kid all the time with my family and I remember it being so good. I came here on a limb because my bf was craving fried rice and I was craving egg noodle soup. Definitely regret coming back here because my childhood memories of the place were ruined. I was so disappointed in everything that I barely touched my food. We didn’t take any leftovers home as well. /:

Go to place to order a whole roasted pig. They make the skin so crunchy it makes you weak in the knees. The meat is tender and there’s so much flavor. The location of the store is really congested because of the surrounding stores and the parking lot is small. The people are friendly but there is a language barrier. FYI: pay cash for the pig, if not you’re charged a credit card fee and order at least a week in advanced.

Sad to say, Han Kee is definitely not how I remember it to be. Like I mentioned previously, I’ve been coming here for years, and was pretty satisfied with the soup here, but the last visit I had here was very disappointing. At this point, it’s basically losing to TK noodles. My family came in for dinner and all ordered our favorite dishes. They came out looking great as usual, but the taste was soooo bland and lacking. The broth that came out with my entrée had no taste whatsoever. It was like drinking hot water with green onions in it. My sisters noodle soup was also tasteless. The shrimp balls looked really old and dingy. And the ingredients used in the fried noodles also wasn’t fresh. I’m pretty sad that I had to experience this. They probably switched cooks in the back. Who knows, but I hate change. :/hopefully next time if we ever do come back, it’ll be back to normal!
