Look this was my favorite place to eat at the mall. But it has been getting worse in the last year. I don’t even know where to start half the time they burn the chicken. Then after about 4 pm there is no more fried rice and they wont make it. What the F Why have it in the menu if your not going to have it, Well the fried rice when you do get it there is clumped up white rise in it. I don’t know if who ever prepare it doesn’t care or the owner of the business just doesn’t care. Today once again we went took the family to the mall and we all ate there. Wow we ordered double chicken with shrimp. And now the amount of chicken in the double chicken was less than the portion of chicken in a regular non double portion was a year ago. I’m not going again. I had a conversation with my wife about just not going as honestly its not worth it. Look I have my own business and I am a stickler for quality control. This place is so substandard that at some point its going to affect the bottom line. So if the owner is out there and even cares about his business common shake up the place. Make it my favorite place again. I took the family at least 30 times a year. That’s 150 plates now were not going at all. How many people have to give you a bad review before you do something about it.

This was the first time I ate here and not sure if I will honestly ever come back. The menu is very simple: teriyaki chicken beef or shrimp with rice and vegetables or fried rice. They also have a few of the basic sushi rolls but did not have any ready made at the time nor were they willing to make it. I ordered a beef and chicken teriyaki plate thinking I was going to get actual bite size pieces of chicken and beef. Instead it felt as if I were eating at the Philly cheesesteak place next door. They do not seperately the beef from the chicken(they pile one on top of the other) which made me kind of annoyed because I have a little OCD and wanted to get a difference in taste and see if I actually preferred one over the other. Due to the meat being piled up it created a blend of both flavored. I would like to note they pile the rice on the bottom, then the vegetables over the rice and the meat is piled on top of the vegetables like a mountain even though the to go containers had seperately dividers inside them. After ordering and having to wait for my food there was a lady who obviously didn’t know the food is made in the order they take everyone’s money and proceeded to touchback everyone’s to go box asking if it was hers. Thank god she didn’t touch my to go box but the man in front of me was very upset as he had five plates and she touched her dirty hands onto all of the meal plates. I hope in the future they will chose to at least keep a little division between the orders instead of the boxes touching all in a row with customers able to grab whatever they want. If you look through the little window you will also see the shrimp is sitting in a tub in open air. I don’t know about you but I keep my shrimp cold until it’s ready to cook to avoid air contamination and bacteria(no cover on the shrimp either of plastic or suran wrap). I didn’t see one person order shrimp but buyer beware. I can’t see how the beef or chicken is stored but I assume it’s also out in the open and not properly closed to avoid air and dirt contamination. The cooks only use the front grill and cook the vegetables meat and shrimp all in the same 2foot X 3 foot grill area so if you are allergic to seafood don’t eat here.(My bf asked if they can cook the meat seperately because any contamination to shrimp and he would need to go to the hospital and they said no. All the meat is cooked in the front even though you can clearly see they have another kitchen in the back where the shrimp is sitting to layout all afternoon and get people even more sick). In the end I’m hoping I won’t have food poisoning tomorrow morning from this place. If the cleaning standards go up I might try again. As for the staff they could care less about helping you or being at work. When asking questions about cooking the good they got annoyed(but what can you do if you have food allergies other than ask basic food prep questions to avoid a trip to the ER). I hope one day they get a staff who at least pretends like they care about he customers and can answer simple questions without getting an attitude.

Very disappointed. First, the cashier look mean and told us that cannot take in any order because the chef clogged up, then just walked away inside. We have been waiting for 7 minutes to take order. Only two persons working in the kitchen and by the time we got our food, it’s 24minutes. Most chicken that we got were in tiny pieces, looks like they came from the left over. Few big pieces were just barely medium raw. Lots of rice though. We will Never go back here!

Went here yesterday and was very disappointed. I had the short rib meal which the meat was super tough, pink and drenched in sauce. I had to wait a few minutes for my order which wouldn’t have been no problem at all if my meal was good. Paid almost 12 dollars with a soda. I finally walked up the cook and told him the meal was horrible. Didn’t want to ask for a refund as wouldn’t eat there again. I know my way around a kitchen and let me tell you the owners need to re-train the cooks to do a better job and not serve pink meat.

Gave me barely any chicken and the chicken was burnt. If you’re hungry just go to McDonald’s nearby.

Im giving this place and LOCATION a ONE because of the following the califorina roll o ordered, guy-asian said id wait. Ten minutes… I waited almost 25. Also another girl cashier hispanic/Indian with contacts every time i meet her, Rolls her eyes when i make a last minute change to an order. No ONE is perfect and if they’re still selecting what to choose why would you actively leave the damn counter? By the time i got my order of food, she didnt EVEN offer me a pacj of soy sauce or hot sauce. How do you EAT sushi without at least one more pack of soY SAUCE? Overall i love the buisness and i would come back to it, if it werent Over priced at this location. –3 stars if it was possible. If i was an investor and its almost 2016 id pull out of this location rather than put up with the day time staff.

The chicken was the only good thing here. The steam rice was a mixture of old hard rice and slimy sticky rice. They give you a lot of steamed rice but basically no point because the rice is unappetizing. Only com here if you are really hungry otherwise go somewhere else.

First to start off with the food wasn’t that great. The chowmein was drenched in soy sauce, the short ribs were too tough to eat, and the chicken didn’t even taste like chicken. Horrible customer service, didn’t even want to take my card and wanted cash instead. Overall I was disappointed with both the food and service.

A 4 star review, you say? Compared to the other food court places, this one gives you a much higher bang for your buck ratio and higher quality food. Hence, 4 stars. But seriously, for $ 7 – 8, you choose your meat, and they include a huge portion of rice and veggies with it automatically. I remember that one meat was like shabu shabu meat… all tender and stuff. Bigger and cheaper compared to the Chinese place and the Mongolian noodle place.

Decided to give this place another shot after a couple years… Nothing’s changed, very un– satisfying. Nothing like Sakura at oakridge or valley fair. You’d thing it’s so simple you can’t mess it up, but whattaya know…

Unfortunately, Eastridge’s food court is absolutely terrible so it doesn’t leave you with too much of a selection– Been here a few times– it’s either going to be a hit or miss. I’m not a fan of this place because the food is sloppy, the veggies are sliced thin to make it cook faster– but that just means it’s almost always OVERCOOKED in my eyes, and the service is something that I can live without. On the bright side, the teriyaki sauce is pretty good and the portions are decent– even if a majority of it is the vegetables.

The beef and shrimp teriyaki was — as expected — mediocre. Actually the beef kind of tasted uninteresting, if I could find the right word for it. Thankfully you can’t mess the veggies or shrooms up too much, and the shrimp tasted ok. You can tell these aren’t the freshest ingredients. If I could find the right analogy it’s the kind of food your college roommate would whip up with whatever’s left in the fridge sleep-deprived after an all nighter or two. It’ll do the trick especially if you’re just hungry. They pile it on at $ 8, enough for two people really. Washed the mediocrity down with stale diet coke. The fellas were really nice though(I like when people call me «boss».) C+

Tasteless. Thought it would taste somewhat like Oakridgemall Japanese food but this had no flavor. Would not buy this again.

This place is disgusting. How do u mess up on rice and chicken?!! Well let me tell u. The rice is really soggy and the chicken doesn’t have any flavor even with teriyaki sauce. I even found a bone in the chicken. Don’t they have people to check for that!!! Sarku over Sansei any day.

Teriyaki chicken is good. That is literally all you need to know. It gets a 3 star. Longer review? OK. As far as mall food goes, this place sucks. Don’t bother with the rice, because it sucks, and don’t bother with the vegetables, because they also suck. Just get a plate of chicken teriyaki and get out. You will definitely regret getting any sort of non-protein item.

Eeew, the noodles were greasy and soggy. There was not much beef in it. The picture on the menu showed beef with broccoli and some onions, but I got a load of cabbage, several pieces of broccoli and carrots, and thin slices of mushroom. My friend and I ate about less than a quarter of food in our boxes(mostly picking at it with our fork to get at the protein, i.e., beef for me and shrimp for her) and tossed the rest in the trash.

In my opinion, the best place to eat in the food court at eastridge. The food is fresh & prepared in front of you and it taste amazing with there special sauce. The cons is that you don’t really have much of a selection but chicken and beef but who cares, it’s delicious. They are sometimes stingy with the chicken and give a whole lot of rice and veggies, that’s why i make sure I tell them extra chicken for additional dollar. *** Come before they close and you might get lucky because they want to get rid of all the chicken and dump 2 – 3 servings, yes i know this because i’m a fatty.

Mall food isn’t always bad. My firsts impression of Sansei about three years ago was good. A substitute for Sarku at the Valley Fair mall I told myself if I’m in the area. Not anymore! I don’t like super sweet Teriyaki Sauce. This one is. What happened? The additional chicken meat is more expensive too at $ 1.59. At Sarku in Valley Fair it is only 99 cents! I mean if it’s as good as the one in VF I prob would ignore it. But it pales in comparison. Even with an additional chicken meat it still not enough portion in my order and I don’t eat much. With Sarku I bring home half of my food. Not with this one. Very disappointing. Their cooking area is somewhat messy looking and they ran out of fried rice. Who runs out of fried rice? Geez! No bueno and so no more! Go Sarku!
