Sad to say 1st visit was just so/so. After 2nd visit, never again. Manager Jake«nickels and dimes» everything. 1st visit it was clear that he doesn’t know what he’s doing with SIM cards(ate 3 of them before getting my ‘byod’ to work). Charged $ 15 for each of two SIM cards, then suggested that the phone would be working shortly. I refused to leave until he had the phones working. This is the closest retailer to my kid’s school, so decided to give them another shot. Wanted to upgrade on the 2nd visit, but not at $ 80 over the list price with beefed up, unnecessary additional charges(Jake walked into the store as I was finalizing the upgrade, and he had his employee Carina consult with him, then come out of the back room and try to add more charges over the $ 25 activation fee to the cost of the upgrade — didn’t have the cojones to face me himself, but sends the poor sales associate out). Found another retailer and told them what this one did. They sold me the upgrade phone with a case thrown in for free — no additional charges. Two weeks later I bought an additional phone(same model) from Ebay and simply popped in the SIM, no fees at all. Found out there’s another Cricket Wireless retailer @ Story & King.
