We stayed at the hotel before our flight out and were a little apprehensive about the restaurant since no one was there. We sat at the bar, were given some menus and ordered a couple appetizers. Bruschetta and ahi. Let me just say that both were amazing! We ordered more bruschetta!!! Best Ahi we’ve had! Do not hesitate to eat here. The food is great!

Came for a co-worker’s retirement party. So we didn’t get to partake in the regular menu. We got a choice of three items — a(vegetarian) Bali Hai pasta dish, chicken cordon bleu and the pork scaloppini. I had the pork and found it really good. Also came with rice and some grilled veggies. I was a fan. The space seemed big enough and the servers were nice. Though the lady who took our drink orders had a trouble understanding us and brought iced tea instead of Hi-C. Haha. And they even had a projector screen and extension cords for us. There was plenty of parking also. Will need to come back for a regular meal soon.

Came here for a birthday party last night. Pretty dead for Saturday night. I am never a big fan of restaurants attached to hotels. There is just a bad vibe about them. With some dishes, pricing is way over the top. I got a salad which was ok. Nothing spectacular. Service is so-so. The food came out a little bit slow. We were all starving so it seemed like forever before they actually served the food. I don’t know if I would go here again on my own accord. It’s a nice restaurant for a large group, but the food was not really anything particularly impressive. Not happy, expected much more.

Changed hands since many of the Unilocal posts. Menu has changed. Salads were fine but entrees were pricey.

Fish was decent. However, food appeared to be just thrown on the plate. Wait staff was understaffed, but friendly. For being a Hawaiian themed place, they didn’t have Kona Brewery beers.

I ate dinner here on Sunday evening. The kahuna breeze salad was delicious. I was surprised though that my waiter did everything including not only the dining area but was the bartender too all by himself. He was very pleasant but I can’t imagine how he could do all this by himself if it got a little busy in the restaurant.

Roast Chicken dinner with potatoes and veggies… the entire dinner was very lemony, even the potatoes. Chicken was a bit dry.

This place is a bit of a sleeper. Attached to a hotel I didnt know it existed and I’d driven down this street many times. We came in and there was only one other table on a late Friday lunch. Got the calamari rings and tri tip sandwich. both were super solid. Co worker was really happy with the burger. Service was good but then we were the only ticket left but still Ive been ignored in empty places before. Definitely a diamond in the rough

Average food — extremely slow service — group of 24 served by one person who also tended bar — it took 80 minutes to get food which sat on sideboard for 5 – 10 minutes before service –they served 4 small baskets of bread to this large group which were not replenished — I went to the serving station to get my own ketchup after service — when I went to the bar to let the server know that there were several of us waiting to have our cards run, he came to the table and bawled me out in front of my group — THEWORSTSERVICEPOSSIBLE — avoid this place

This restaurant just happened to be attached to a hotel(Wyndham Garden Hotel) I was staying out for a couple days while in town for business. At first glance the hotel is not much to look at on the outside but was pleasantly surprised to see that the rooms were recently renovated turning out to be a very nice place for the price in this area. Anyway the restaurant had a nice feel to it, lots of bamboo décor, nice separated bar area with additional bar only counter and seating area. It was not busy at all either day I was here for breakfast or dinner. Usually that is a sure sign to stay away but not the case this time. I had two meals here, dinner one night and breakfast the next morning. For dinner I had their Island Grill salad with grilled chicken added. I am particular about my chicken, theirs was very moist not dry, over cooked like a lot if places. Nice selection of fresh vegetables on the salad, huge portion size(not that I needed it). Breakfast the next morning I went with the California omelet that was stuffed with spinach, bell peppers and topped with Swiss cheese and avocado. It came with hash towns that were very good, crunchy but not overdone or too oily. I had to order toast separately, and it was a bit pricey for breakfast but again the portion size was very large. Do not hesitate to give this place a try.

Really enjoyed our dinner here. Our waiter Ephram was a perfect combination of sass and service. He was timely and entertaining without interfering with our family dinner. I had the surf and turf and it was delicious. The salmon was quite tasty as well. Walking distance from our hotel was great, especially considering the not too shabby wine list.

The Situation: Team outing with our manager. What I Ordered: Cheeseburger Medium Rare with Sweet Potato Fries The Verdict: Meh. One end of the patty was Medium Rare, the other end Rare. The portion I did eat was pretty good. The Sweet Potato Fries did not disappoint. The Service: Fair. Our waiter seemed annoyed with me when I asked him to repeat the specials because I couldn’t hear him across the length of our table while the television was blaring behind him. He repeated the Specials as he walked by my chair and leaned in close to my ear, so that I heard him well. His passive aggressive attitude didn’t sit well with me. I also found it in bad taste that he threw his server/host under the bus by announcing to us that he, «Doesn’t know what he’s doing» because he left yesterday’s Specials in the menu. I was perturbed by his bad behavior. When a group of people who work together as a team come to an establishment to dine together, socialize and celebrate their accomplishments it doesn’t interpret well with such a group when the establishment’s own team doesn’t have each other’s back. Overall: I don’t really understand the appeal of this restaurant. The food here is mediocre at best. The menu online doesn’t reflect much of what they currently offer. I unfortunately, had no control of where we ate as a team. But I tried to make the best of it by ordering the one meal I was praying they wouldn’t mess up. Which, I can gladly say, they didn’t do half bad. I can’t review their venue in the evening because I’ve never been. After my experience here, doubt I’ll ever feel inclined to do so. #389

Very mixed. Karaōke on Weds and Thurs is top notch. Excellent singers and friendly vibe. Club which seems to have been renamed the Bamboo club has a nice atmosphere and is comfortable and spacious. The bartenders do not have a nice vibe. First of all it was difficult to get served even when up at the bar(place wasn’t busy), second of all they acted shady when I ordered a house wine. I immediately asked to pay, they pushed me to keep open a tab. No biggie, but I didn’t want to and asked for the bill. It took 3 servers playing on their cell phones standing around in full view 25 minutes to get me my bill. I should have double checked, but after waiting for 3 paid staff members to finish their game and text some people, I now I was ready to scram. I noticed later they double billed my 1 glass of house wine. Which make me feel like they should rename this club again, the Bamboozaled Club. Double check your bill!

So I am staying here in the hotel attached to this restaurant and decided to have lunch here. Usually I am not a huge fan of resturaunts attached to hotels, but this place so surprised me that I am sad that I didn’t eat here more than once. I ordered a glass of pinot grigio(fat cat) and had the lunch tri tip(medium rare) and roasted mashed potatoes with vegetables(zucchini, carrots and broccoli). The food was well prepared and flavorful. I enjoyed my meal and the waiter was really attentive. I would totally eat here again! I can’t say anything about the parking because I walked there from my room!

I’ve been to Island Grill a several times for lunch; every time I come here I get different services. I always order their tri-tips or grilled salmon. The portion of the salmon was pretty small for the price, I had to order double pieces to satisfy my stomach, not that I eat a ton for lunch; I liked the tri-tips better though because they gave perfect portion with grilled veggies and some potatoes, tri-tips was perfectly cooked and it was pretty tender. Service can be bad at times depends on which server I get; I was served by one server and I believe his name is Phil, he was very friendly and provided the service that I was expecting. Other servers were pretty slow and I had a hard time getting their attention. I do want to go back there for their Happy Hour and Prime Rib one day though; I’ll do another updated-review when I do.
