This is where I go when my fiancé and I are craving burgers. Ive never had anything besides the burgers but only because they are so good! It’s close to my house and the food is always satisfying. The burgers are fat and they don’t cheap out on the bacon. The fries are the frozen crinkle cut kind(which would normally bother me) but they’re actually pretty good. Only complaint is parking my can be a pain but if it’s not packed you can usually find a spot.

They made us lettuce wrapped burgers so how can I complain ? The husband brought home to go and the burgers were cooked perfectly! The lettuce wrap was fresh and completely covered the burger. The extra pickles were right on top which is where I love them– I did not have to whine about moving them! The onions were fresh and thick as were the tomatoes. We did not get any sides either time we were there because we avoid the carbs… Don’t judge! This joint makes to go orders on time and will customize based on your needs if you enjoy burgers. You must try a burger here!

It’s good if you ain’t watching your figure. This place is a staple of fine dining in the east San Jose area. Make sure to hit up La Tropicana afterwards for your fake id’s and huaraches.

Hand down the best burger place in San Jose. It’s quick. The wait about 5 to 8 minutes. And the food great. I am most definitely coming back.

Hungry for a burger? Then I’d highly recommend King’s. I ordered mine with everything, except cheese. It was loaded and so delicious. The fries were krinkle cut and although not freshly cut(I saw a box outside where they were frozen fries) they were still good. I’ll be back for a great burger and to try other options in the near future. Also, friendly staff!

Moved to the area about 6 months ago, seen this place several times while riding VTA. Finally decided to try it out. Brought my cousin along with me, surprisingly it was his first time here also and he has lived in this area longer than me. Anyways, I was pretty impressed that it’s not only burgers they serve. They have a twist of Mexican style sandwiches and good choices of Asian teriyaki entrée with white rice. Really good satisfying eatery. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars, is because they only take cash. Although they do have an ATM inside the location.

Great milk shakes all kinds of cool flavors… banana, mango, etc… Nice home cooked style burger. Excellent fries. Rather have a burger here than at a fast food chain ANY day!

In my country, pickles on a burger is like a star on a Christmas tree. The multitude of vegetables and condiments they provide on a burger is extraordinary. I got a bacon burger at the recommendation of the cashier and I immensely enjoyed it. The burgers are as fresh and tasty as In-N-Out’s; however, the fries could use more work to make it more enjoyable, but I still found it flavorful. One of the workers knew a few Russian words and it made me nostalgic of the mother land. Needless to say, I’ll be returning.

Saw the reviews on King burger so thought I’d give it a shot. Used to hang out in this area growing up this place normally had a good spot to grab some grub. Reading the previous reviews looks like this place might be on the way down. Prices went up $ 7.29 for a combo regular hamburger. Not the best burger by far… Have a good variety of sandwiches teriyaki chicken beef rice plates, another example of Asians by and a burger place and offering cultural food. As long as it’s good there’s never anything wrong with that. Only two star because the people working the grill did nothing but talk over the food and occasionally would yell out is that all you’re ordering. Kind of weird kinda rude. Burger was below average and small. The cashier on the other hand was very polite and greeted me with a smile. Burger in the picture definitely was not the burger I got. Patty was thin but the fries were good. A lot of ice in the soda two zips and it’s all gone. No free refills. Charge you for everything extra. They do not accept any other form of payment but cash. Cash only. Conveniently they put an ATM next to the cash register and charges $ 2.50 to get money out. Even says thank you from King burger. Talk about cheap and trying to squeeze every penny out of his customers. I’m assuming new owners are the reason for this. Probably won’t be back until new owners take over again.

Ok, things I don’t like include confined seating, food comes out quite greasy, not much selection for milkshakes other than frozen type of ice cream that comes out of a machine. Things that I do like are one, the fries and onion rings come out hot. Two, the portion size are actually decent. I actually like the fries more than the #7 sandwhich because of the oily greasy factor. I would recommend this place as a late night spot. There’s not much more I can add.

Best burger hands down. Its not your ordinary burger joint! Bön Qui Qui was legit, and very professional. She welcomed me, and ask how my day was, and even asked me how can she help me. And I kindly told her, «Thank you… My day is alright, couldnt be better… Can I have a moment to decide what to order? You have quite an extensive menu.» And Bön Qui Qui, told me in a high pitch happy voice, «Sure thing… Just let me know what you’re going to order, but dont make it complicated!» I ordered the Bacon Combo for $ 6.99+tax, extra cheese, extra pickles, and extra tomatoes… Was the best burger I have ever had. I dont know if it beats In-N-Out… Although it was a bit greasy, but hey, its fast food… Ate only ½ of it, and save the remaining ½ for dinner… Now, will I be back, sure thing… The staff are friendly, the place is clean, the bathroom is stocked pretty well with enough tissue… Definitely a great place to grab a bite!

My own burger was delicious and meaty, with all the right ingredients balanced. My fries were delightfully hot and fresh and crunchy. Weirdly, my wife ordered the kid’s combo, and although it’s only a dollar less the burger comes naked with no veggies. The patty became nonexistent but the bun stayed the same. Her fries were also stale and not hot or crunchy. We had completely different experiences with the same order. I even tried her stuff to make sure that she wasn’t just being picky. There shouldn’t be that kind of inconsistency in one’s food. Now you’ve lost two customers simply because you couldn’t please both people; even if I wanted to eat here, I’d need my wife to be onboard. I don’t know why one bag of fries tasted stale, nor do I know why a dollar difference means«make the burger awful.»

Im new to the neighborhood and decided to try this place out. Terriyaki chicken sandwich is the bomb! Burgers are good too and made to your liking with all the fixings. Tried their onion rings, because I was scarred of the crinkle cut fries, and they were delicious: crispy, hardy, and not too greasy. Then I tried the crinkle cut fries anyways and they were impressive. Its a classic diner thats way better than fast food restaurants.

I love this place. They serve everything, lol. It can get a little pricey but I love the food. I like the chicken sandwich and cheesy fries :) So good! My husband was not impressed with their burgers though. He said it looks like they cut a single patty in half to make a double cheeseburger.

Just found a big black bug in our fries. While everybody was cleaning. Still find a bug. Took it to manager & he wanted us to pick something off the menu instead of giving $ back? Who does that? Why would we order off menu when we FOUND A BUG. Jerk only gave us $ 2 back for being unconvinced! Never will go there again!

The reviews I read on Unilocal did not match the place I just ate at, Kings burgers. The people were not too friendly, the fries were complete cardboard disgustingness. The the meat in the burger had a Rhine that almost chipped my tooth. You’d think they’d at least spread the Vegi’s out evenly on the burger, nope. The bite I took had double pickles stacked and double tomato… not a very well put together burger. They seem to do fine but I’d rather go to In n out at this point. It’s better than this place.

I spend an inordinate amount of time in the area when I’m in San Jose. I spent my early years in the area, and after being all over the country, I’m back in Northern California, and a bit in SJ. As an adult, I’ve been re-discovering more than I’d ever seen as a child. I’ve been going through the skate parks, but for restaurants, I’ve gone from tacos to pizza, and now, to burgers. Let’s just say that Carl’s Jr is good, and In-n-Out is acceptable, but they don’t have a heart. King’s Burger House reminds me of a great little walk-up burger place that started in the 1960s, had a mid-life crisis in the 1980s and remodeled, adding indoor tables, and has changed owners too many times.(There is a pizza place on Bustleton Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia that feels the same to me.) This place could have used a parking lot but I parked near Mi Pueblo and O’Reilly Auto Parts and that worked well. It was busy, and being so cozy(the real estate term for small), it seemed almost completely full. Thankfully, there were tables for two around each side. I tried to scan the menu and find some meaning to life. There still isn’t any meaning to life but choosing between burgers, fish, and teriyaki was perplexing. I chose the King’s Combo – a burger, fries, and(roughly) 20 ounce drink for $ 6.99. I asked for cheese, which was extra cash, and skipped mayonnaise. They gave me a number that they would say when my order was ready. It wasn’t very long until I heard the number. The order was ready round the side from the cash register. The tray included the food and drink, plus napkins and a straw, although I’d already grabbed a straw. The sandwich was completely wrapped, and covered with fries. Just because I’m Japanese, don’t get the idea that I confuse fries with flies, okay? Unwrapped, the burger looked good, cooked well, and fully stocked, although the tomato slices looked as though they were picked too early. I can only say that I should be here at least once a week, regardless of the tomatoes. The fries were really good, even though I don’t always care about crinkle cut fries. The oil was apparently clean, and not peanut oil. The last place I had a burger I liked, I paid about double what I paid here, and it was only slightly nicer looking inside the dining room.
