I remember when they were first open and tried their burrito. I ate it have way and the burrito falls apart. The workers here are friendly. The restaurant is located in the food court of the mall«Eastridge Mall».

One star for decent service, this time… I’ve come here twice. First visit was awful, waited about 10 min for«the situation» looking guy behind the counter to stop flirting with some girl at the end of the counter(not a customer) to come take mine and my husbands orders. The food was descent but took FOREVER! This most recent visit there was no line and the girl who helped us was nice unfortunately the food sucked. I had a carne asada quesadilla and my hubby had tacos. His tacos were okay but not great, fairly bland. He asked for salt and the girl said they don’t use salt??? My quesadilla came wrong(I asked for the sauce on the side and it was inside). I dealt with it but most of the carne asada was gristle which meant I was pulling out yucky hard pieces of meat every other bite, ugh! Never again!

the food is good BUT only if they do it right. WHICHTHEYDONT! very bad service and if they do the order wrong they give you attitude and try to say it was your fault. they charge for every little thing like onions! who charges for onions? the workers are very feisty and i am very unsatisfied about the prices for extra salsa, onions, and everything. i recommend the boss hire someone that is capable of actually listening to the customers orders and being organized.

Earlier they didn’t have any chicken on their menu and that sucked because I don’t eat beef and pork. But now they have chicken and I tried their chicken tacos and they were very delicious. Not only delicious, but they were for a good price too. I highly recommend their chicken tacos. I still have to try their tortas(Mexican sandwich) and flowery drinks. Yummy! :)

The Carne Asada Torta was good. Their was a lot of avocado, which I liked! The Steak Burrito was tasty and fulfilling. Pickled jalapeños were nice. Chips were hard and stale. Service was okay. Young lady who rang as up was just doing her job. They didn’t have any lemonade which they sold for $ 2.50, But it’s okay because McDonald’s has the big cup for $ 1 anyways :)

Review from my 10/21/2012 visit. I never finished the review and was going through my unfinished reviews I needed to post. The gal taking orders needs to speak up more in the noisy food court and the blasting music from their stereo system which was at an obnoxious level. She had a bad habit of looking at the menu behind her if we asked her a question to repeat what was exactly there… when in fact our question was for more information beyond what was posted. We wanted lengua. There was only enough for one burrito, however the employee didn’t check to see if there was enough prior to making us pay for our food. We then got a super quesadilla and ended up with a regular cheese quesadilla. Quite disappointed. Also Food was tasty, price was decent, service sucked.

Good lengua and cabeza tacos at a very price($ 1.25 now). Service is great though, but they could definitely have more spicy salsa. Anyhow, i like it anyways and it’s tastiest food you can get in this food court…

Just returned here as I was looking for some simple but at the same time wouldn’t be too much as dinner is in a couple of hours. I originally thought that I would go even for McDonald’s, but then a light bulb went off in my brain regarding whether that tiny Mexican stand was still around. Yes, it’s still there. Awesome tacos. And for $ 1 too. Certainly can’t beat that, other than Taco Bell, of course. I agree with Annie that the folks are friendly and will answer any questions that you may have regarding the food. Unfortunately, they ran out of all but two meats. I guess their supplies are made fresh daily. The earlier that you get here, the better. I’ll be sure to remember that next time on any Tuesday as I pass through the area.

Tacos for one dollar! I have never seen an offer like that anywhere. They are a bit greasy. On one occasion they ran out of all but two meats(minus one*) Burritos are delicious and hearty(try pastor) They have green and red salsas to ask for.

LACHACHATAQUERIA for lunch?! Sure! I rememeber trying this place when they first opened and their burritos were pretty bomb! Decided to come back and try it out again after doing some shopping! $ 5.75 for SUPERBURRITOS… $ 1.00 for TACOS! (THAT’S CHEAP, and should be enough to attract all the little boppers that chill in the food court.) The lady that took my order was super nice and really friendly! The pictures on their menu looks appetizing, it makes you wanna try everything! I like how this small Taqueria is kept clean! While waiting for my food, I saw one of those« Unilocal loves us» sticker on their window! Unfortunately I don’t think they’re aware of their two stars rating on here! Anyway, the burrito is OKAY… and their tacos were good… NOT the best dollar taco I’ve had but it was good enough.(THATDAMNPICTUREGOTME! lol) Overall, if you want a CHEAP quick bite then come here.

I have been here a few times, but this time I asked for a bean and cheese burrito for breakfast and it was 11, and the beans were not ready :(so I just went somewhere else. Other than that, this place is pretty cheap with good food. They have Mexican a drink fountain but only 2 flavors, Jorritos and I think regular sodas too. You can even sit at the bar on stools to eat, which is the only place in the mall with that. Come stop by and check it out!

Nestled in a sea of boppers, ghetto kids, and old stingy people, La Cha Cha Taqueria is a little rusty, but shines enough to make me give them a 3-star review. Their service here is quite amazing. I work at the mall, but don’t have a uniform to prove it. So usually at the other food court places, the employees won’t even consider giving me a discount. Not here! They ask in the most polite way and give you a small plate of their tortilla chips. They are also nice about giving out napkins and foil even if you didn’t purchase food from them. :x I have to admit, though. Their food is just adequate. But it does fill that emptiness in my tummy. I never knew what a torta really was until I asked the cashier. She explained to me what was in it and all that. I ordered it with lengua and it was so soft and chewy. I shoulda gotten something with more bite. So that was my fault.

Wouldn’t give me extra napkins or a glass of water with my purchase. The food was okay, but go somewhere else for service.

Should have known better than to trust a dollar taco. The tacos were very average. They were on dry corn tortillas and the little meat they give is more greasy than flavorful. I also ordered a cheese quesadilla which turned out to be tiny and came with a few chips that went stale underneath the tinfoil wrapping. My boyfriend got the hawaiian torta which would have tasted ok if the bread wasn’t so soggy. I guess for mall food this may be acceptable quality, I mean it is cheap, but compared to a real taqueria this place wouldn’t stand a chance. I rounded up for the nice blonde girl who helped us.

My friends and I stopped by here for a small bite to eat since we still had extra time before our movie was to start at the AMC theater in Eastridge. We ordered 3 horchata drinks and 2 orders of the carne asada tacos. My friend wanted to try the lengua(beef tongue) tacos just to try since our other friend who wasn’t there said it was the best kind of taco to eat. However, the girl at the front said they had run out(it was getting near closing time), so we just got the horchata drinks. My friend politely complained that the horchata was watered down to the girl at the front counter. She looked surprise, got herself a horchata drink of her own, and agreed that it was. To make up for it, she said they would give us three free tacos, so we thought that was pretty good and really nice of her. One of my friends ended up tipping her $ 6 for her being so nice. We heard her talking to the cook behind her in Spanish and assumed that she was just telling him about the situation. When she called us over for our free tacos, she said that these free tacos were lengua… supposedly, the cook found some leftover lengua from the day and made some for us. I had never eaten lengua tacos before, and was dared to eat it by my friends. When I looked at it, it looked a lot like shredded beef meat instead, but what the heck do I know about lengua? It tasted OK and I even told my boyfriend that it actually tasted a bit of just like regular beef. My boyfriend, who does not do well with eating food that is not considered«typical» in America was a bit hesitant. Suddenly, my other friend leaned over to him and whispered something to him. He ended up eating that taco like a champ. =] Later that night when we were at home, my boyfriend told me that our friend overheard the girl and the cook talk. Apparently, my friend who can understand Spanish heard them saying, «Oh, just give them this and pretend it’s the lengua. They’re asians. they won’t know the difference». I was so shocked when I heard this! When I asked why my friend didn’t tell our other friend who had tipped her $ 6, my boyfriend said because he didn’t want to hurt the guy’s feelings or cause an uproar. Man, no wonder I thought it looked a lot and tasted like shredded beef! To this day, we haven’t told our friend the truth, but what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him, right? It sucks that we found out they were lying, because their tacos are really good. However, because of their dishonesty, I would have to say that I personally won’t come back because of it, but would not deter others from trying it themselves. After all, you can’t beat $ 1 tacos.

So yummy. The people are friendly and they don’t mind when you ask questions about the food. The location this Taqueria is at took the place of another Taqueria… and I’m glad! Hahahaha. This place has: $ 1 tacos– $ 2 quesadillas– $ 5 tortas– $ 5 burritos– The tacos are pretty good but my only complaint is that they tend to be on the oily side and are really greasy. However… I highly recommend the Tortas! I like the Pastor Torta and the ham Torta! Both are great choices. Either way, this sandwhich is so savory. It consists of the meat of your choice, lettuce, jalepenos, tomatoes, avocado, this special sauce they make, sour cream and some damn good beans that I can’t get enough of!(and I usually don’t eat beans!) So delic!!! Pretty good for mall food I’d say! Try it! Oh by the way… they also have the tangy juices like: Tamarindo Jimaica Horchata The girl that works the cash register is really nice too and she even offered me a sample of their Cactus salad. I’ve never had Cactus before but it was pretty damn good. I love Mexican food :)

The burrito wasn’t bad, but I’ve had better. I ordered a super burrito which supposedly has sour cream and cheese, but I don’t recall having either in my burrito. What it did contain, however, was diced tomato. I hate tomato. Took me by surprise because all other burritos I’ve had didn’t contain«salsa» or «pico de gallo». Perhaps I’ll come back and ask that they hold the ‘maters. Otherwise, it was an ok burrito. Good price though and a nice alternative to the other mall options.

I came here during lunch with my sons while waiting for my youngest dentist appt. I ordered them Mcdonalds and I wish I got myself something too. I seen this place from the corner of my eye and I ordered myself a asada super burrito with no sour cream. When I got my burrito I bit into it and it tasted good, but the more I ate it, the more I realized that the burrito was cold and the cheese was not even melted! I did not even finish my burrito and my stomach was upset afterwards. So I do not think I will be going back to this place at all!!!

MMMMM. BOMB. seriously. you know its good when my boyfriend can stuff down NINE tacos in one sitting. we love them. seriously, they’re small, but they’re soooo good and plus, they’re only a dollar. can it get better than that? the employees are super nice, i tried to order chicken tacos, and he told me, hey the chicken is a bit dry, do you still want it? and i think that is service! normally, people just sell me hard cold chicken whether i liked it or not, but the fact that i came five minutes before closing and they still told me about their quality of their chicken made me love them more. you reallys should try it out. seriously good.

A new addition to the food court @ Eastridge Mall and I have to say I wanna now try the #1 location. Everything was fresh from what I saw coming out. It’s also a good thing I noticed that about 8 employees from different shops were waiting to order or waiting for their meal. $ 1 tacos ‚$ 2 Quesedillas & $ 5 burritos. I will be back…
