Good customer service considering it’s located in a food-court on a university campus… I’ve eaten here a couple times and I’ve ordered the same thing during both my trips: Sourdough Bread Bowl with New England Clam Chowder($ 7.75). The clam chowder is nothing special, as it’s somewhat runny and tastes like it probably came from a can; however, during both my visits, my clam chowder was packed full of chunky ingredients, which is a plus. The sourdough bread bowl, while good, never really tastes«fresh,» but it’s never bad either. What I do like is that the bread bowl is wrapped in Le Boulanger paper, which protects it until you’re ready to eat it. Also, the clam chowder comes in a soup container, so you can take it home if you like. While the customer service is usually good, there is usually a young blonde girl who works at the to-go station, and she always looks like she hates life. I hope this winter vacation away from school gives her the rest she truly needs. Due to the other food options on the San Jose State University campus, I’ll most likely be back to this Le Boulanger in the future.

Messed up my order multiple times, very careless workers. This place only has location going for it. Price and quantity of food is a joke.

The bread is great here, and the customer service was fine. My only complaint is that they charged me $ 8+ for a grilled cheese with avocado… which is a crime

All these students work very hard! John is positive and has great people skills. Megan is a great worker and kills it every day. Then Jazzy the supervisor does a great job at keeping the store moving. They have a great squad!

I occasionally stop by for some bagels or breakfast(the type that is so greasy your bread is soaked with olive oil) but you can’t be choosy at 8 in the morning. This is the only place open this early on the SJSU campus for breakfast as well as coffee. My second visit this week was less than satisfactory, the cashiers are hit or miss depending on who you get– and I always get the ones with the grumpy attitude. No hellos or smiles :(John C took my order earlier this week, he looked irritated and no name tag(good thing I kept the receipt). I noticed that there is no Unilocal site set up yet so here I am. Some of us may just be students, but we deserve some basic respect and service as well where we are paying customers. *Don’t get me wrong, the baristas and the sandwich maker are all super friendly.(They are the ones that make the 15+ min waits worth while) To the cashier: as I always say, «A smile goes a long way.» You never know who you’ll be serving that day, and he/she may even be your future employer.
