I recently moved to San Jose & was referred to this place by a friend, I took a picture of the hairstyle that I want & the stylist Kevin took 1 look & just went on cutting what he THINKS will look good on me, the end result??? HORRIBLE! not only it looks nothing like the picture that I brought, but the fact that he doesn’t even consult with me on anything is what pisses me off! not only the hair style aged me & it made me look like a dork! w/​lots of short bangs that’s slanted! when I complained, he acted as if I didn’t know what I was talking about! I specifically told him I sometimes wear my hair in a ponytail & would like to keep my current length, but he had cut it w/​so many layers & that the layers were so short, I can no longer do that. I have had incidents where I leave a salon w/​a hairstyle not exactly the way I wanted, but all of the time the style itself is fine & I would grow to like it in a few days… but this time, I cannot get over this hair… imagine having to wait weeks or months to grow out of this.

so i used to actually only get my hair cut and styled in hong kong. and when i was a student that was ok because i went back to hong kong more regularly. but now i cant do that. so i finally succumbed to letting my moms friend ah man cut my hair.
he does a decent job. i used to let him color my hair too. and i liked what he did but now im too lazy to sit there and wait til the color sets. i got a perm there too. and i got my hair set there for formals and stuff. i liked that too. ive been getting my hair cut by him for years now. sometimes he cuts my bangs too short. or messes up. but its just hair. itll grow back.
