The first time I had these eggrolls were at a birthday party, and immediately I knew they were far superior than King eggrolls! And not Kings. That’s how much difference in taste, quality, freshness, and grease there is between the 2. I had to ask where they got these scrumptious eggrolls from. Long Phung was the answer! I’ve recommended this place to 2 other friends who got trays of deliciousnous also. ooh yum! Definitely worth driving to Tully for these crunchy crispy snacks!

Do you need some Vietnamese party trays for your party? THISISTHEPLACETOGO! I cannot emphasize how good their food is. Their fried shrimp is my personal favorite, but their eggrolls are soooo good as well. I love places like this! Be sure to call in beforehand so that they have your order ready when you come in. And this place is CASHONLY, so make sure you bring it when you pay for your food. I would go back here to cater my parties anytime!

Some Unilocalers might raise their eyebrows for me saying that the egg rolls here were just A-OK. Well I tell you this. ITISJUST A-OK, so quit the judgmental nose flares and let’s get on with what life has to offer… more choices and the search for the ultimate egg roll. Oh man, I have been wanting to come here to buy the egg rolls because of the reviews I had read. However, honestly, it is more than just the reviews that prompted me to come. I was on the hunt of the ever elusive shrimp egg roll that I had in one of my friend’s parties. The host said that the shrimp egg roll can be bought frozen in a Vietnamese shop that he can’t pronounce the name in Tully Rd(My 1st clue) which is also a sandwich place(2nd clue), near a gasoline station(3rd clue). Those egg rolls are the bomb. Seriously blew up my taste buds… if I have no regard for decency and good character, I would have snatched all of it and taken it home that day. That is why I did what most sane foodies did; started my research in Unilocal and tried this place with the hopes that I found the one… but sadly it wasnt.(single tear…) Anyhoo the place is just a to go place. No table and chairs to lounge and eat the grub of choice. They have dry goods and the frozen egg rolls were $.65 cents a piece(super cheap). They only had 2 fried ones and was told that if we could wait for about 10 minutes they can make more egg rolls but if we ordered more than 10. We bought 20 cold ones. Total expenses: $ 13 buckaroos. Not too shabby. I asked the big dude by the counter if they have shrimp egg rolls, he said no but they do add shrimp in their egg rolls… Oh, and they do have party trays. Lotus salad seems a good choice next time… oh well. Taste wise it is good, sweet and seasoned well. I think they combine fish with the meat as I was trying to decipher why its different from the other egg rolls I had. I looked for any signs of the shrimp but I think it’s on ninja mode… never found it. Would I be back?!? Sure, since I would love to try their Lotus salad.

I’ve never experienced such horrible service in my life! We ordered 20 eggrolls beforehand. When we arrived they said our order was ready, but they were about to give part of our order to another customer and told them it was ready for pick up. They ended up putting our order back into our tray. After paying and everything was bagged the other customer arrived and they wanted us to wait so they can take our order and give it to the other customer. we were in a rush to get somewhere that time so they left our order as is and told the other customer that we took their order. What kind of business is this!!! so «disorganized» and full of «lies»!!!

LONGPHUNGSANDWICHES I didn’t try their sandwiches, but came here because I heard their egg rolls and fish cakes were wonderful and would be great items to choose for catering at parties. The rumors where true and the egg rolls were wonderful! I liked the fish cakes as well, although it was certainly fishier than other places. I also tried the spring rolls. They were pretty good, although I prefer the peanut sauce more than the soy sauce-based dip they provided. The sticky shrimp wraps were delicious. Long Phung looks to be a great place to cater from!

This is supposedly a good place to pick up xoi(sweet rice). Alas, when I stopped by at 2:40pm today(Fri), there wasn’t any left. Apparently, you have to call ahead if you want to reserve some. The price is $ 14 for a small aluminum tray. Live and learn.

Tried this place for the 1st time. The Egg rolls are great! My daughter loves it better than King Egg Roll. She already ate 3. It’s much cheaper too! We got 5 egg rolls for $ 3.75. We will definitely order this for parties. I wanted to try their pâté chaud, but the lady in front of me bought the last one. Why don’t they make more? Strange.

I wish I didn’t find out this is one of the Vietnamese restaurants that had to temporarily SHUTDOWN this year bc of failing SANITARYHEALTH check by the department. :( Their food is decent but I don’t wanna get sick though either… so I’ll just let reviewers decide. I use to come here for the eggrolls. The fried rice and banh uot thit nuong were not good as per the party I fed it to said. Will I come back? I’m still thinking… can’t say yes or no.

Ordered a party tray of Large Fried Rice for $ 60 and i was highly disappointed that there was barely any toppings. As for their Cha Ca it’s pretty darn good but not as good as the one my mother makes!

The BEST eggrolls in town. I repeat: THEBESTEGGROLLSINTOWN! Hole in the wall or not, their food is outstanding. I hate eggrolls. I almost never eat them because its just too common of an item in my culture, to the point where i get sick thinking about them. Eggrolls make their appearances at every possible asian party ive been to, and i guess it just got to the point where i dont even want to be near it.. Dont know what it is haha. Anyway, the ONLY time i would ever pick one(or a few more) up is if i know it came from Long Phung. Perfectly crisp and tasty meat fillers on the inside. Places like lees and other shops cannot compare: this place is known for their eggrolls! The last couple of gatherings ive been to, i had a chance to try out their deep fried breaded shrimp and oh boy. … I fell in love. A party tray of over 50 shrimp comes out to be around $ 30 or less, definitely not bad. I was also able to try out their deep fried chicken wings. Heavenly. The friend who brought that item told me it was also very cheap for the party tray. No doubt in my mind– this is where im headed if i want to get delicious yet affordable food!

Egg rolls are good but a bit on the greasy side… it was nice and crunchy though. I also tried their other steam rice sheet with ground pork rolls and their papaya salad. I have had better but they are not bad.

A friend of mine once told me, «I am going to take you to the best egg roll spot in San Jose.» I didn’t believe him, because I knew for a fact that Long Phung was the best egg roll spot in town. Lo and behold… HETAKESMETOLONGPHUNG! I have been going to Long Phung and buying their egg rolls for as long as I can remember. Thank you guys for being open for all these years and for continuing to be open. You bring me happiness in every single bite. Obviously fresh and hot is the best, but I will eat these even if they’ve gone cold after a few hours. I am salivating as I am writing this review and thinking about their egg rolls. God bless the USA for Long Phung and their egg rolls.

4 Stars for the Fish Paste 0 Star for service I came here on a random Sunday morning looking to buy some fish paste(cha ca). The store was empty. There was one guy playing with his phone. We asked to buy stuff. He rudely replied that they are out. Didn’t even bother to look up at us. One word of advise. Be nice to the customers! They’re the one bringing you the business. It doesn’t matter how good your food is. If you’re not nice… you won’t be in the business for long.

Their egg rolls are absolutely to die for! It’s the best egg roll I’ve ever had filled with lots of meat and packed with so much flavor! I also love their sandwiches! 2.75 for a Vietnamese sandwich is such a steal!

This review is for the best egg roll EVER! I’ve been coming here for years and if I remember correctly, the egg roll used to be $.50 a piece. It’s $.75 now. There is nothing like it. It’s cash only!

Great place to order your party trays! The food is fresh and oh so good! So when we have a party, we always order our chow mein from Long Phung. Order ahead in-store or over the phone and pick it up on the day of your party! The Chow Mein has shredded cabbage, carrots, red pork, and very very bright pink shrimps. I think they dye their shrimps, it looks very strange(lol) but it tastes normal. Seasoned just right and perfect to serve at a party.

I love you people for staying in business and being my egg roll spot for 10 years. A loyal customer, I will always be true to you and those crunchy fried sticks of goodness. Sandwiches are aiite, but it has your basic to-go Vietnamese foods if you don;t want to venture further down Tully.
