If you are Viet then you might enjoy this place. I am American so they ignored me completely. I came in and they asked what I wanted and I asked for a Heineken and a menu. An hour passed and nobody came back. This is hostess bar. The girls that serve come sit drink and chat with the customers. If you are Viet that is. I know how it works. I came in with a wallet full of $ 20’s expecting to tip the girls that sat with me. My first beer was empty and no one would even look my way so I walked up to the bar and helped myself to the next one. The papasan at the counter had a puzzled look on his face so I explained in Viet that I understood that nobody wants to sit with me but they could at least bring me s beer. An hour later that beer was empty as I was drinking slow in hopes anyone would come to my table. Finally I gave up and went for my next beer myself. Papasan saw what was happening and called for one of the girls to help me. She pulled the beer from my hand to open it herself and brought it to the table. Wow. How gracious. She then finally saw the menu sitting there and asked if I wanted to order. I ordered the special and sat again waiting for another hour. Still waiting now for my food. Yes I am sitting here hours later. I downloaded this app while waiting and am sitting here writing this review with an empty beer watching all other tables being served and waiting to see what happens. So the conclusion is if you are not Viet, stay away. Edit: they finally brought my food and I made an attempt to explain the bad experience I had here and they blew me off. Of course I expected that from the entire experience. $ 50 for a couple beers and a very small portion of beef salad. First thing Monday morning I will lodge a complaint with the city because they allow smoking inside.

Your typical Quan Nhau(Viet Bar) to get drunk and sing Vietnamese Karaōke. This place is NOT the kind with the younger crowd with«live entertainment» as you would find in other bars. A friend took me here to specifically try the food. The food itself was really good. The bo luc lac(shaking beef) was very tender and flavorful! We had 3 different plates of fresh prawn, so fresh that you actually see them come out with tongs and pick them out from the fish tank before they cook it. The first one was simply boiled with the heads removed, you can definitely taste the difference as they were fresh. The 2nd prawn dish they were cut in halves with the head attached and grilled with some spices and sauce and it was delicious! The last prawn dish which took forever since they«accidently» gave our order away to the wrong table, was fried prawn heads mixed with garlic and some other things was scrumptious. The 3 shrimp dishes were $ 80 all together, but when they gave away our order, they owner was only going to discount our bill $ 15 and the last dish was the one we were looking forward to the most. Ultimately we got our last dish and our total bill was $ 208. 2 stars for the delicious food. –1 star for screwing up our order. –2 stars for being traumatized watching middle aged Vietnamese ppl freak dance with each other. I’ll come back, but only to get my food to go!

The former«Quan Dzuii» which was the former«Tay Thi». I frequent venues at least more than once before I access my experience there. Recently under new management from it being Quan Dzuii not too long ago last year, the interior seems to remain the same(needs more lighting inside) — same w/the karoake system. The service I have to say, needs a lot of improvement. I/we/our table didn’t get the best of service — w/this I mean, we had to raise our hands or flag the waitresses down to order more beer, whereas usually we would have our glasses/beers refilled just as it gets below the middle mark. The waitresses they do & can drink w/you here, but they don’t often if there is another female customer at the table, therefore my male counterparts are stuck w/not so good service because of my presence — Next time I will sit at another table :-) Food is ok. This restaurant is literally baby steps to the next Viet bar & a block away from the newly opened Sau Bistro. Good point is that it does have recurrent local clients. No crazy & wild entertainment here, just your old school«older» crowd who loves to sing Karoake !!
