One of the better, respectable, and clean Vietnamese coffee shops. I enjoy the atmosphere here. There’s always a good crowd and the vibe is very friendly, traditional, and of course relaxing but energetic. Service is superb. Sizing and room is great! All in all, this place stands out as one of San Jose’s better Vietnamese coffee shops — well put together.

My first Vietnamese coffeeshop experience. Just walked over while I was getting my car headlights worked on. So, I have finally seen for myself– guys huddled in dark corners taking creeper photos of scantily dressed waitresses. They aren’t bad looking, but it’s obvious that they’ve been thru at least a couple of trips to the plastic surgeon. Service isn’t as friendly as I expected– I guess it’s only natural for these girls to get sick of their gig. Coffee, I must say, is damn good. It’s strong, sweet and thick, as I remember it to be in Saigon. It might be too saccharine if you are not used to condensed milk, so I recommend you tell the now-Cup-D waitresses to take it easy in the milk for more bitter and less sweet. The house tea is a bonus– very light and refreshing. Expect to smell like cigarettes after.

First time here. I think I just fell in love with the place and two of the most beautiful asian women I have yet to see

Great coffee, great service. This is a coffee shop I used to frequent 10+ years ago. Owners might have changed from back then but still a great place to visit. The owner now is really nice and friendly along with the service staff. I like their sandwiches, coconut smoothies and of course iced coffee!!!

Ambiance: Nice area, great all around. The seats are nice and comfortable. With decent music. Fake non smoking establishment. Waitresses: Absolutely stunning. 9⁄10. All of the girls were top notch. However, not that much interaction so maybe this is a SOP. Crowd: middle aged folks. Not a bad crowd. Drinks: A lot more variety. It’s funny asking the waitress to name them as it is quite long. Overall: this establishment is great. If its possible to chat up the waitresses as easily as some of the other places, this place would win hands down.

As a person who knows exactly how Vietnamese coffee shops work, I have no big complaints about this place. The location is seedy as well as pretty much all the other shops of this nature. Ca phe sua da was really good and their strawberry smoothie was decent. What made this place stand out was the smiles from the waitresses. I’m used to girls who don’t smile or consistently hide behind the counter, but didn’t get that at Xinh Xinh. The girls were happy to talk to me with a smile, which is especially hard to get from coffee shop girls as a female customer. Their attire wasn’t too risqué: bra tops and super mini skirts. No nipple slips or bottomless action here. Good. If they wipe a table, you’ll catch some cheekiness. I appreciate that subtlety. The TVs were huge and awesome. They had all the right channels going as well as the right music playing. I wish there were more girls working, but since the few girls they have on a shift are actually nice and attentive I can’t strike this place off as lame. I fully intend on coming back soon. PS. As an Asian, I had a very decent experience with bringing non-Asian friends here for the first time. This is a good place for that. I know other places are clique-y, but not here.

Coffee is good. Girls are mediocre but friendly. Good music and plenty of TVs. They also serve sandwiches which is great. I say the drawbacks are: — Indoor smoking — Only one or two girls working — Horrific parking — Shady crowd

So, this was my first Vietnamese coffee shop. I had heard about the craze, but being from the peninsula where the craze has not quite hit yet, I had never been. Thus, while on Tully, I decided that my boyfriend and I just had to stop at one. I’ll admit it. I was super excited to drink overly sweet Vietnamese coffee while enjoying the company of sexilicious Asian girls. However, I was disappointed. There were only two servers and they didn’t do much but sit at their own table and hide behind the counter and didn’t look so happy. Also, the cigarette smoke is suffocating for non-smokers in such a small enclosed room. The drinks were pretty decent though!(an extra star for that) On to the next one! :)

One of my favorite café places to chill with buddies. I came here twice and had blast each time. My waitress’ name was Tesha(hope I spelled it correctly haha), a really friendly and cute girl, sat down to speak and played some cards, exchanged some infos. I figured out her ethnicity and the fact that we go to the same college. wahoo! I’m not quite sure how their Café Sua Da is but the grass jelly drink was awesome if you’re not a coffee drinker. –1 star for having smokers and no ventilation. I will definitely return!

Drinks were ok, the visual was decent. The gals looked great with their clothes on. Again, the negative is they allow smoking indoor and there wasn’t any ventilation. It felt like I was being suffocated.

A smaller coffee shop. The few times I’ve been there it’s been pretty dead. Saturday night around 10PM and they only had one waitress. I don’t know if that’s normal or not. I don’t see myself coming back often.

This place compared to other Vietnamese coffee shops sucks. It’s small, and not as lively as others. The tea water is too strong and to coffee isn’t as great. The waiters is friendlier because they actually talk to you unlike others, that’s why I give it two stars. I wouldn’t come back here again because I like a more lively place to chill with my friend. Hard to find parking!

i have only been here a handful of times but there wasnt a wow factor that made me come back, the only reason i go is because my friend is already there and i meet him out there. They do have a few megatouch machines and Tv’s playing the sports games or music video. The coffee here was ok, and the waitresses are also ok.

The coffee here is strong and the tea is decent as a chaser. Workers stayed to themselves but the dance cover versions of ballads and hip-hop videos will keep one entertained. The Tennis Channel was also on, as was CNN. While watching KTVU saw that StBux is raising its Venti prices by 5 – 30 cents depending on the drink(though the Talls are reduced 5 – 15 cents). No longer my cup of tea(badabing badaboom), though it is located right by a good VNese-riceplate eatery. Therefore, that deserves another star. This place does not look big, but can probably seat 90 people without feeling too bunched in. There are a few tables and chairs right outside. Take Tully Road West off 101 until sees a small shopping center on the right.

I have to agree that this coffee shop is much cleaner and less ghetto than the nearby coffee shops such as Cheo Leo, Quyen Café, Nguyen Expresso, etc. It’s pretty hard to find parking space here. The waitresses here are fine and beautiful, but they need to live up the to «service with a smile» attitude. Xinh Xinh is more for the younger crowds and nicotine addicts. Even though there are«No Smoking» signs in the shop, the customers are smoking like crazy and making smoke signals. I got sick from second hand smoking. A glass of black coffe costs me $ 4.50. It’s 50 cents more expensive than the other places. I am not a regular here and I am not coming back to this place. Quyen Café is my kind of Viet coffee shop. I am regular there on the weekends.

As you could assume, it really is slim pickins’ for the letter X, so we kinda assume the experience is going to be whatever Unilocal or Yahoo search results provide us. Parking at Xinh Xinh was chaos, everyone seemed to be arriving, parking and backing up at the same time… I wasn’t sure my car was gonna make it there and out alive. I decided to park in another shop’s «designated parking» spot and just risk the ticket. Inside XX was kinda cool. Other than the utter feeling that we didn’t belong(probably just in our heads), it looked like a cool spot to get together, play some cards, get a coffee/tea drink, ANDHAVE A SMOKE!!! Yes, smoking somehow is permitted. Maybe it’s built on an Indian reservation or something… on Tully and McGlaughlin… who knows. Anyway, we order sit down, they bring us complimentary jasmine-ish tea and our drinks… to-go. I take a sip of the tea and we cut w/our coffees. On the way back, sipping on this coffee, a great question was asked… Nat ordered«Vietnamese Coffee»… but if we’re there, wouldn’t we just call it coffee? Who knows… Anyway, the place looked fun and intimidating at the same time. But to break all of that up, there were some of the most beautiful, sexily dressed, waitresses serving and taking your order there. Yum and Yum. All in all, the coffee was good(my first time having it), and the kinda thing you probably crave every once in a while for no apparent reason… like now!!! B

Don’t let the darkened windows on the outside fool you — inside, Xinh Xinh is not too shabby at all. Four stars for exceptionally friendly waitresses dressed in almost nothing, good coffee, and a reunion with yet another one of my favorite coffee girls. Could be the time of day(late afternoon), but it seemed more relaxed a place than either Cheo Leo or Café Quyen.
