Mercury Trip

horrible travel agents. complete frauds and thieves. also have been harassing me by calling me on my cell phone at odd hours. will be placing a restraining order on them.
please stay away from these people. they do not have a legitimate business here in california and operate from india. totally illegal!!!

First to add, the agents of this agency are the most rudely behaved people.
We had booked our tickets well ahead of time and they messed the reservations and kept telling us that baggage allowance is the international limit.
But in the domestic connection we have to pay 200 $ more !
When I called them up. They were very very rude and didn’t make any effort to even fix the problem (though the domestic connection airlines had told that, the agent can fix this erro!)
Absolutely unprofessional they are and it’s better to book directly only than to go throug these people.

I recently purchased tickets from them. They gave me the tickets but did not mention some of the important visa related info. They knew about these visa rule policy changes, but chose not to inform people like me. I had to go to the airport and denied boarding pass because of lack of transit visa. When I called Mercury Trip agent, they mention that few other people have called them in similar situation.
If Mercury Trip had informed me of the recently changed transit visa rules, I could have first gotten my transit visa and then bought my tickets. At least I could have bought tickets by another route like may be via Singapore if they mentioned about the transit visa rules to London.
I think the reason why they did not inform me of the policy changes is so that I buy the tickets immediately and not wait until I get my transit visa.
The only reason why we go to a travel agent (AND NOT TO TRAVEL WEBSITES) is that there is a personal touch and the agent will inform us with all travel related updated news so that we don’t get stuck at airports!
Travel agents like the «Mercury Trip» who are running business without ethical and moral values are a shame to the society. They made me pay $ 480 as penalty for something that I was unaware of!
