I don’t usually resort to bad Unilocal reviews buuuuut I went in the other night to buy two six-packs(Guinness Blonde for my friend and Ballast Point Grapefruit IPA for myself) and the guy behind the counter charged me $ 27. I didn’t notice until I was in the car and checked the receipt(my mistake), but since it wasn’t itemized — and I’d clearly been scammed — I figured a fight wasn’t worth it. Whether they try to justify $ 13.50 for a six pack, or are sketchy and tagged on a superfluous $ 10, I’m either way not stoked on this place.

Wow this Asian guy behind the register is extremely rude, and slow! Never ever coming back here! They should fire him or if he is the owner then shame on him!

I don’t really know if you can call this place a store from what Iv’e seen the only times Iv’e ever visited mikes liquors. The guy behind the counter Mike, is extremely unpleasant and extremely rude. even asking him if he was the real Mike pissed him off. Second time and last time ever being in there Mike was patting down a 8 year old boy in a karate uniform. HEDOESN’T EVENHAVEPOCKETSTOHIDEANYTHING. They were laughing patting him down while he was crying and ashamed. BOOOOO!

I would not even give this store one star! How depressing that I live in the same neighborhood– good thing I am moving. The proprietor tried that 1 dollar fee crap to use my debit card, I said I will walk to another store– I saved 2 dollars.

I had a $ 4 Powerball winner, and the cashier told me it was worth $ 3. Went home and rechecked again… $ 4. Suckers got me for the only time. And I’ll tell everyone i know.

Good selection of cheap liquor at expensive prices. If you have a taste for cheap liquor at crazy inflated prices, this is the place for you.

Mike is a good dude, He knows his neighborhood regulars by name, he works hard, and will have a conversation with you, if he does not have a line out the door E.g. A few weeks ago, i went in there with my wife. He knew us both by name, but had never seen us together before. He was very pleasant, as always, and agreed with me that i had a better girl than i deserve. Mike has an employee that works the day shift, but chooses to do the rough hours himself. I will go to Mikes and spend the extra dollar, rather than go to the big conglomerate. James

Bad business ethics. You played me, and I don’t appreciate it. First the guy,(I doubt his name is really Mike) tells me that he charges $ 1 to use my ATM card. Fair enough. Then he tells me he has the 3 pack of the item I am looking for, and that he can then use my debit card as a «Visa» and then I won’t have the fee. Fair enough. Couple days later I see my checking acct detail and see that the mofo charged me the ATM fee anyway. Why must you go through all the lies and trouble just to con me out of such a small amount? You must be hurtin’ for customers. Usually neighborhood Mom and Pop stores gain regulars by being convienient and providing good service. Not by trying to rip off the very same people who would return again and again. Like I say, bad business ethics. Avoid this place.
