I agree with the other reviewer that SOME things are a little more expensive. However, there are some things you can’t really get anywhere else. There is a large variety of different kitchen items. Pots, clay pots, steamers, dishes, strainers etc. Looking into kitchen stores makes me very happy! I very much love cooking and finding new and fun tools to use. I have never seen pots or tongs Tao big! Haha, but because of the price, we only bought wooden spoons of which we’ve been looking for awhile. I definitely recommend giving this place a look for kitchen items.

MV Trading Co has a lot of kitchen/cooking wares that you would not normally find anywhere else. I’m glad they had a wide variety of sizes for people who cook for large groups of friends! Though it’s not the cheapest, at least they HAVE it… I got my 22″ wok here because I like to stir-fry large amounts of noodles and crab for parties. Daiso is great for little, cheap knick-knacks for the dabbler cook, but if you’re a heavy-duty foodie, this place is pretty kick ass.

I randomly worked into this place with friends after dim sum. The place was pretty crammed with all sorts of stuff one might need for cooking. However, it was really more for restaurant supplies than home kitchen. I for one cannot think what home cook needs a wok 28″ in diameter. It was big enough for a baby to take a bath in! As a result, he price there was fairly cheap but so were the merchandise. Actually factoring in the quality, I wouldn’t pay $ 0.99 for one of those brown plastic cup used by restaurants for iced water. That being said, there were some items for households, like nice thermal cups, ceramic dishes and beautifully painted chopsticks. But given the price, I kept feeling Daiso offers better value for the same things.
