Service was bad, only a few people dining, so wasn’t crowded. had to wait about 20 minutes after my friend already got her meal. Then I was at last enjoying my very tasty salad, until I discovered a big black hair. uhg!!! They took it off the bill, but I wont be back… Get some hair nets and a nicer attitudes!!!

Last three times no deserts at all(except ice cream, they have just three). Service became less friendly. And after they expanded place become less cozy. So this was our last visit, unfortunately.

Wow, A++ Phở and Rice plates… absolutely yummy! We eat out at many Phở places in San Jose, this one tops it as one of the top 5. Perfect Phở and the #31 RockNRoll Filt Mignon rice plate is incredibly good. Clean and friendly service. The shrimp and pork fried wontons are worth visiting itself. Highly recommend Phở Wagon.

Great wonton soup and spring rolls. They use a lot of mint in their spring rolls, which I really like. The wonton soup with bok choy had around 10 – 12 wontons, so they are not skimp on that. 4 stars for being a bit pricey. Will be back!

My wife and I really enjoy their vermicelli bowls. The pork and shrimp are fantastic! We have ordered take out twice and the time estimation has been spot on(important factor when you have crazy kids at home waiting for dinner).

The phở here is super expensive for no reason! The broth isn’t that tasty, the size of their phở bowls aren’t that large, and the flavor overall is just mediocre…

I am really sad to have to drop my rating on this place… This place is great, food is awesome, and clean… but service is horrible. We ate there and my parents paid in cash, while me and my husband paid card. I put zero on the«Tip» line because we were going to leave tip on the table and before we could even pull out our wallets, this older lady comes over(NOT the owner) and says loudly and rudely«NOTIP?» and shows me my zero on the credit receipt. I could not believe it. I told her no because we were going to leave a cash tip on the table and she walks away… I hope the owners talks to her servers about this… Customer service needs to be addressed.

Love the phở but service is awful here and being closed on Monday doesn’t help when it’s every Monday that I’m craving it! 4÷8÷16 Service here has continued to decline! Gave it a try tonight for dinner and found hair inside Spring rolls! Disgusting! This place needs to be shut down, completely cleaned out, new staff trained and re-open to try again!

Normally I am skeptical of nice looking phở restaurants. Sounds crazy, but we all know those hole in the wall, located in the ghetto ones have AMAZING food. Phở Wagon was such a pleasant surprise for me! It’s clean, in a nice area, and serves delicious food! This place can get pretty busy at night, especially weekends, but the wait isn’t that bad, even though it may look it. People can usually get in and out fast. Always great service when we go. The waiters are prompt in taking your order and are friendly. I’ve been to a few Vietnamese restaurants where if you don’t know what you want within a minute of sitting down, they don’t come back to you for a hot minute. This place doesn’t do that. I usually order phở bo vien and I like to judge places based on how their bo vien tastes. Phở Wagon doesn’t disappoint! It’s perfectly cooked and the broth is delicious! I have tried some other dishes and they’ve all been pretty good. What I love about this place is amazing food and a nice clean environment. Definitely a good place to go!

Dinner tonight at Phở Wagon was not enjoyable. The service is awful. I don’t think they have enough staff. A lot of people were waiting in the entrance area and the staff was clearing all the empty tables. I do not know what their issue is, but they need to make significant improvements. The food is just okay. I had to ask three times for water and a pot of tea. It finally arrived after my third request. This is not acceptable! On the back of the menu they have their house specials. Originally I wanted to order the Filet Mignon Stir Fry. I was told that all stir fries take from 30 to 45 minutes. WHAT! This is a stir fry. From my experience stir fries are quick. There is no indication on the menu that all stir fries take 30 to 45 minutes. This is outrageous! The men’s restroom was a mess. No hand paper towels and toilet paper on the floor. Don’t bother going to the place. They do not care about their customers. The food is just okay. There are far better places in San Jose. Don’t waster your money!

Over priced and mediocre food. They made me pay a tip of over 15% since we had our four children with us and thus a party of six! They also use MSG which turns ½ the family red and flushed… bah… Not to repeat. Go to Little Saigon and experience real Vietnamese at a better price/value.

When you crave phở, you gotta have it. And this phở is REALLLYYY good. I’ve tried phở at least like 5 different places but Phở Wagon blew them all away. I just get the rare steak but my boyfriend and his friends get the chicken phở and they love theirs and I love mine. Only thing is don’t go right before closing! One time we called at 8:50 pm and asked if we could still come in and they said yes. So when we walked in they said ‘Were you the ones that called?’ and I said Yes. We ordered 1 rare steak and 1 chicken but they brought out 2 chicken. I decided it wasn’t worth complaining since they took us in so late. But then the cleanup crew(really just one kid) came and stood like 1 foot from our table looking at us out of the corner of his eye so we felt rushed and uncomfortable. Don’t tell customers to come in if you really don’t want them to…

I got a to go order from Phở Wagon and I bit into my spring roll and there were two LARGE hairs right in the middle of the roll. I was absolutely sickened. It’s absolutely unsanitary and foul to say the least. I am so disappointed!

I truly, truly have never had a bad meal here or a bad experience with service. The people at Phở Wagon are on the ball and they’re phenomenal! The place is always packed whether at 12p or 1:30p, be prepared to wait or luck out on the last table in the restaurant. When you are seated you absolutely have to start off with the grilled pork spring roll. I could devour 10 – 15 plates of these babies but I have to show a little constraint here so I stick with just one because I know over the course of time I will get my bakers dozen in! They are so flavorful, the grilled pork is so rich in porky goodness and the veggies and thai basil add a perfect flavor balance in your mouth. I am a creature of habit as I am sure many of my fellow Unilocalers are and if you think you’re not let me ask which leg you put into your pants each day??? Ah ha, see creatures of habit! Well since I am an admitted creature of habit I can tell you my go to Phở is #6 large. I crush that bowl of lovely rice stick noodle, tendon, flank and tripe and I stare at my friends bowl wondering if maybe they will be unable to finish and I can crush theirs too! Ok, I digress, but seriously the broth doesn’t need anything added to it, its not over salted and its not oily. I love loading on the condiments(mung bean sprout, jalapeño, lime and thai basil) and I add Sriracha and chili paste to spicy it up a bit and make my nose run(order extra napkins to wipe your snot). There is a good quantity of meat and goodies, could there be more, sure but its plenty for what it is. The noodles are done well too and very filling. The food is fast, and flavorful, the service is very helpful and on point and this is the reason I come back time and time again. If you want a great bowl of Phở and some nice Vietnamese cuisine give Phở Wagon in Willow Glen a shot.

Just checked the last Santa Clara County Inspection Report for Phở Wagon. It was significantly lower than what I expected. They scored a 71 which is a pass, but barely. They need to improve in the areas of concern based on the last routine inspection. Latest Santa clara Inspection Report can be found on SCCDineOut App or in the following link:

I’m somewhat newer to the«Phở» Phenomenon, but this place is a go to. I’ve had phở from other restaurants, but choose Phở Wagon because their Phở is tasty and their restaurant is clean and roomy. I was sick yesterday and craved Phở, but was surprised to see the restaurant closed… was it because of Columbus Day? Not sure? Would recommend this place to Phở lovers and those new to the craze. Update: They are closed on Mondays.

I come here at least twice a month. I have been addicted to phở since about 1990 when a group at work dragged me out to try it. I wanted to introduce my teenage daughter to it and we went somewhere else. She wasn’t impressed. So I took her here and she’s now a phở-monster. I always get the same thing. Small chicken phở. The broth has a lot of depth. There’s a good noodle to chicken to broth ratio. When I go with my friend, we also get the fresh spring rolls which we enjoy. And with my daughter, we get an additional order of chicken fried rice, except on Thursdays when they don’t do anything fried like that(I think it’s that cook’s day off) Some day, I may branch out but for now, I love the consistent quality of the food, the good service, and the pleasant atmosphere. I should note that I’ve only been here for lunch.

Simple and delicious Vietnamese food in the land of no Vietnamese people. Living in the area, it’s hard for me to find decent Asian food. You have 2 decent Vietnamese places near Valley Medical Hospital, you have a decent Filipino-Fusion restaurant down the street near Hamilton and San Tomas, and you have Chinese/Korean at Tsing Tao on Campbell Ave and San Tomas Aquino. Those are the only decent ones in the vicinity. They have a few other Chinese restaurants in the area, but don’t even bother. Stick with the ones I mentioned and Phở Wagon. If you have trouble finding this place, look for the Nothing Bundt Cakes shop. It’s in the shopping center, but in the back. There is a ton of parking. The place is very clean, including the bathroom. The menu consists of the typical phở, broken rice, and«bun» noodles dishes. A plus is that they also serve banh mi, which lots of phở restaurants don’t normally serve. The spring rolls are decent as was their peanut sauce. They also do to-go order, but sometimes their noodles stick together too much and it’s hard for the broth to separate them. I even tried to soak them in hot water first, but still didn’t work. Didn’t bother me though, because even if it’s not a long noodle, I’ll eat it.

I love Phở Wagon for three reasons; the chicken in their Phở Ga is white breast meat and comes with grilled onions, their restaurant is the nicest phở restaurants I have been to, and they offer you honey with their tea. This phở restaurant amazes me because of how modern their furniture, décor, and serving style is. Unlike other phở restaurants, Phở Wagon has modern tables and décor. The entire place is modern. It also isn’t as crowded as most phở restaurants and it never feels rushed here. Their broth is tasty and the first sip always reminds me why its my favorite place to get meat in phở. I am very picky with food so getting meat in phở for me took some time and when I did make the jump, I was sad that the chicken always seemed like the scraps but here, its white breast meat and that could not make me happier than eating it everyday. They also provide steak on the side and it is always very fresh meat. It is never oxygenated They have lots of seating so I would recommend it for small and large groups. Their parking lot is a large too. The only thing I would warn you about is their scheduled as they are closed Tue and during lunch. They offer honey with their tea and because I drink tea at other phở places, I know Phở Wagon is unique in doing so as Phở Hoa, Phở Kim Long, Lee Noodle, and Beef Noodle #1 don’t. The service is great and we haven’t had any bad experiences yet.

I was a little hesitant to come here for phở since I live near East side where all the good Vietnamese restaurants are but I was craving phở and it’s close to work. My colleagues like this place and I saw the good Unilocal reviews so I decided to give it a try. The ambiance of this Phở Restaurant is not like the ones you will find on the East Side. It’s cleaner, the owner walks around and greets you and asks how your food is. You won’t find that in more typical Vietnamese phở restaurants. Another thing is that the clientele here is majority non Vietnamese, but you know what, the food was actually pretty decent. It’s definitely not the best phở I’ve had, but it hit the spot on a cold rainy day and I liked the atmosphere and service. I ordered the Tai Phở(rare flank steak). The slices of meat come on the side uncooked and I can dip it into my broth and cook it perfectly rare the way I like it. I also ordered an extra side of Bo Vien(meatballs) and it was good. I wouldn’t mind coming again during my lunch break.
