Eating and drinking on Santana Row are my two favorite hobbies and Rosie’s has been on my list for a while! I hate how they charge cover on weekend nights. It’s way too obnoxious. Like calm down, we’re not in Hollywood and you’re not Blvd3, so I honestly don’t understand why they do that. When I first went there, the bouncer told me it’s the only place on Santana Row that has dancing. And I was like hold up, have you not been to Blowfish?! It’s Santana Row’s last stop, hands down. Anyways, the food was mediocre at best, but $ 3 Guinness makes Rosie’s my new favorite happy hour! Also, it’s not super grimey like some pubs.

Stopped for bite to eat midday so was not busy. I wasn’t all that hungry so just ordered chili while my husband got the fish and chips. After all, that’s usually a safe bet in an Irish pub. The fish and chips were actually pretty good, the cod was nice and flaky and the batter was not heavy or greasy. The chili was decent, but think they should have offered bread or crackers with it. I was fine without, but would be a nicer presentation. Server was friendly and service good.

I totally agree with the BAD service! No much of attention to the customer! My husband and I went here for brunch around 11:20am. Not many people sited, but we wait at the door long enough with no attention from the host, who is just right there! No greeting at all! BAD impression! Finally, I ordered«Pancake and Egg», one guy from kitchen served us food. There is NOEGGS on my plate! I talked to the person who is also the host that served us. I did get my egg at the end. But, the lady served us had no Apology at all and with«no care» attitude. Nope, Not coming again…

Rosie McCann’s is one of the few restaurants that I haven’t yet been to ever since Santana Row has opened. it’s an Irish pub which serves American & Irish bar type foods; including sandwiches, burgers, n Shepard’s Pie. we were meeting our friend for some beers n appetizers at Santana Row so we decided to go to Yard House for some happy hour fares. alas, where we got there, it was already past 6pm, n there was still a wait of 30 minutes.(does no one work anymore??) so we ditched that plan n went to Rosie McCann’s instead. it’s located next to Urban Outfitters n across the street from The Counter. the exterior is nice with outdoor tables lit with overhanging lights. the interior décor looks very nice n clean which fits the description of a restaurant that’s located on Santana Row. TVs hang in the front space for watching sports. there’s an open kitchen in back which is pretty modern for an Irish pub. the service was good, but it wasn’t a busy night so that was expected. I thought the food was just ok bar food, but we only had beers n appetizers. one beer we ordered tasted really watered down tho n we had to order another. if I ever visit this place again, maybe I’ll try the other things on the menu. Irish Nachos(free w/Yelp check-in): this is was interesting. never had nachos without nachos before. it was slices of potatoes with cheese on top. is this what nachos r like in Ireland? wouldn’t say it was impressive. probably what u expect a free dish would look n taste like. Rosie’s Wings: just ok wings. flavor was so-so. wasn’t really impressed. at least there was some ranch sauce.

My husband and I decided to go to Santana Row to walk around and have dinner since we rarely get date night with having 2 small kids. We decided to eat at Rosie McCann’s. We have eaten at many places in Santana Row over the years but had never tried it here. We had a great experience and the food was yummy! I had the Fish and Chips and my husband had Rosie’s Irish Burger! The service was fast and the food was very tasty which is just what we needed. It was a very fun environment, just like a pub/restaurant should be. The manager on duty, Julia, came by our table to check in on us and make sure we were having a good dinner. She was very professional and attentive. Very nice staff. We will be back for sure!

:. San Jose, California .: Five stars for the food. One star for the service. Maybe it’s the area, but let’s just say the employees here lack… what’s the word? Charisma? Character? Care? They just seem a little too comfortable at their job. You ever go somewhere and all the employees act like they own the place? I blame management more than anything, but you just don’t get a very genuine vibe from anyone, which I dislike at a restaurant. But about to the food. It’s delicious. Everything has very unique and quality taste to it. Expensive, but worth it. The wings were great, the Calamari was awesome, and although I didn’t try it, the pasta looked amazing! To summarize: If you’re willing to deal with the uppity service and spend a few bucks, then the food will come through in the end. Overall, a very drunkishly disorganized, not the cleanest type feel, with loud music and good food, the food undoubtedly being the only reason people still come here.

Great little restaurant and pub in Santana row. No need for reservations but walk right in. There is some seating in the bar and tables throughout. The tables in the back room are really cold in winter though. We sat there with our coats on the entire time. Typical Irish fare here. They have the standards like fish and chips, shepherds pie. Both were good. The bar is huge and they have Guinness, Black and Tans, a variety of whiskeys, or anything else you can think of. I had the hot toddy on this cold night but it was pretty watered down. By 9 pm they started clearing the tables on the dance floor and the dj set up. By 9:30 the music started and the disco ball lit up. A whole new crowd showed up and the dance floor filled up with young and old hipsters grooving away. And this was Sun night mind you! So go and enjoy. Good food. Great bar. Good dancing.

Don’t expect much from the servers. My boyfriend came here at 3:30pm on a Saturday afternoon. It was pretty empty but they had live music so we thought it would be entertaining. Unfortunately, our server discriminated against us. A small group of men walked in after us and she took their order, brought their food and drinks before even taking our order. I looked around and there were at least two servers not doing anything, literally just standing there texting. Finally after the about 35 minutes the server took our order. We tried to be nice about it and assume that she simply forgot about us, but she was very rude. If you are coming here with a group of guys, you will be definitely welcomed here. The waitresses love flirting and serving men. However, if you are on a date or taking the family out, AVOID!

Excellent food but poor service. Our waitress had a very poor attitude and acted as if we were bothering her.

Review for Tues night only: I must say, the reason I came to Rosie’s is for my favorite local band, NWAM: No Water After Midnight! On Tues nights usually 930−12am, they play live music(a mixture of R&B, hip-hop, jazz, soul twist type of music) with no cover charge. It’s a steal, as I would pay to see them! They definitely keep me coming back & I can NEVER get enough of them. They’re all super sweet too! So be sure to tip them if you love it!(&I’m sure you will!) The venue is quite small, but intimate with a small dance floor to gig it. It has a vintage feel from the gorgeous designs; nice & sophisticated vibe, with an age range of mainly 30s+. I don’t mind, since everyone is polite and it’s not a sloppy night scene. Security keeps it in check; they’re all super nice and chill too. I bring friends of all ages, even my parents! They all loved it! Getting drinks can be hard when it’s busy, but drinks & wine here are good! Maybe because I come here most Tuesdays and they’ve got the heavy hand on my drinks. Gets me going back for more, so I can’t complain. If I’m hanging out on a Tues night, you bet I suggest taking them here to check it out, and they usually come back for more! Thanks Rosie’s &NWAM for never disappointing me! :)

Lame and low class. The bouncers are rude and cocky… and for what? This isn’t the Bellagio, my friends. The staff is obviously overcompensating for something as evidenced by their over inflated sense of importance. Not cool enough in high school? Ran out of protein powder? Came to terms that this the best that it gets for you? I don’t know, but there’s help for that. If you do make it inside… the floors are sticky, the bathrooms are disgusting, and the service is sub par, at best. If you’re looking for an overrated frat party then go for it. If you an adult with at least an ounce of class, this isn’t the place for you. I’d rather not spend my money contributing to your hourly wage and thus won’t be a patron of this«establishment.»

Three star because the food was quite good. The service on the other hand was sh! t. The hostess was a very dimly lit bulb who had to be told three times that we were a party of four. Seated and ordered taken fairly promptly. Food took forever. The waitress informed us our order«got lost». Waited forever more while our hungry baby cried. Waitress brought me wine in a dirty glass(lip marks on the glass) which was quickly fixed when I brought it to her attention. I would give them a second chance because the food was good but the service was just so bad.

I hate to give bad reviews, but behavior of staff was shameful! I understand its not an easy job but SHAME on you for acting that way!!! A guy was in my way and i requested him me to excuse me. He told me he had his buddies with him and i should talk to them the next time i need to be excused. I was offended and told to the guys at the door about the incident at the door on my way out. They called the guy but instead of being apologetic, they told me to leave the bar since i was apparently drunk. Much racism maybe? Needless to say I will never come back here again and will most certainly not take or recommend this place to my customers, friends or family.

Came here on a Friday night with the girls to have a couple drinks(okay, maybe about more 5 drinks). To be honest, I have no idea how much drinks cost here, considering it’s buried in Santana Row. The dance floor was big enough to accomodate all crazy dancers, big group of home-girls dancing, and couples that like to make-out on the dance floor haha. It was nice for once to be at a bar/club without old guys or desperate creeps pouncing. Everyone that was there(I can only speak for that night) was there to have FUN. No awkward creeping and desperation just good vibes as if we were all bestfriends LOL Hands down to the bartenders though, they really took care of my friends and I. No skimping on the alcohol and all smiles. Our drinks came by really fast for the amount of people there, so big props to them. They do have an outdoor patio where people are able to get some air and unfortunately able to smoke. So if it works for you, then so be it! I will most likely come back to this place again, sober this time of course, dine, and grab a couple beers. Thanks Rosie’s for a wonderful night for my girls and I! :)

Did this place get an overall? Either way, it looks much nicer than I remember. They have food here, but you’re really coming here to drink. They do have happy hour prices which are halfway decent so make sure to take advantage of that. Didn’t stay here for very long, only a few minutes while we waited for our table at Counter’s across the street, but the time I spent here was pleasant enough. The server was also great and pretty quick and nice too boot. Overall, a nice little place to catch a drink on a hot day.

Accidentally stumbled across Rosie McCann’s on Sunday evening when«another» establishment on Santana Row was a complete failure. The bouncer out front just asked for identification and it was the green light to anchor ship. Dinner time! The noise level was ridiculously loud and so we opted to dine outdoors. It is indeed a nightlife spot. Music playing with hot women dancing on the floor luring you with an invitation to pop a bottle of champagne into their glasses. Dinner started off with nachos and crab cakes. For the main dishes our party shared Filet Mignon, Traditional Shepherd’s Pie, Fettuccini and Sautéed Prawns. The nachos were made with potato scallops rather than corn chips and pretty good to my surprise. Among the three dishes the Fettuccini and Sautéed Prawns was the clear winner. Al dente pasta and large prawns got my vote. Service was not warm as the outdoor heating lamps, but tolerable. It’s mainly catered for nocturnal recreational activities and I totally get it. Dress to impress!

Went here with coworkers on a Tuesday night for a belated birthday drink. The bartender was sweet(Asian girl). I wanted a very little amount of wine but she poured heavy for my coworkers. We didn’t eat there, the wine was good and bartender was sweet. We got there prior to karaōke night, as soon as the loud music started we left. The bar area is small and they have cute patio outside. Might have to check out the place on a Friday and Saturday.

Had a wonderful time with my family and team last night. I celebrated my birthday event here with 7 champagne bottles that included: Cristal, Don Perignon, Moët, and Vueve Clicq. Fee did an excellent job taking care of me and my people. The hosts did an amazing job pouring and helping us with whatever we wanted! The DJ was ok. Me and my friends danced our asses off and drank sooo much. The best combo! Wish the music could’ve been better though, nonetheless it was a fine night. I thought the bottle service experience here was awesome! Knowing that there’s a DJ and dance floor and VIP section, this was excellent. Plenty of room to walk around but enough people to make the atmosphere club-like! This is a plus! I must’ve had 17 – 18 people with me last night and they each had a great experience! I would totally come back for more! Thank you Fee! You were kind and helpful! Great job on hosting us!
